Out of all races in the universe, demons are the only mortal race that doesn’t betray their master. They might be violent but in front of the strongest, they never fail to show respect. Even if the strong person isn’t their master, they will still respect them. But, they never fail to challenge that person for a duel. And that’s why they are so violent in others’ eyes.

Viktor looked at the bright red eyes of that young demon who seemed to be 20. He was shaking in fear but still, he wanted to get on Viktor’s good terms.

"Oh, hello Nichol. It’s nice to meet you too. I’m Viktor."

"Y..yes! Are you here to hunt monsters as well!"

The girl beastkin who was standing next to him said, "A minute ago you were acting all high and mighty. Why are you talking like a little bunny now?" The beastkin girl was a race of tigers. So for her genes, she had the small ears of a tiger above her head where she also has human ears.

’She got 4 ears...’ Viktor thought and started to examine her ears by glancing at them. From his knowledge after research, the human ears are for hearing and the ears above the head are for sensing her surroundings and detecting danger. When they berserks, they take their beast form and then, their ears work like an ear should work. Their human ears disappear when they turn to their beast form.

’Hm.. interesting. So bunny beastkin have bunny ears above their head. I’ve seen them in my new memories but not yet. It’s been only 2 hours since I came to this planet. It’s not possible to see every type of race in one district. Moreover, it’s an illegal area.’

Nichol was embarrassed for his idiotic question but Viktor didn’t mind it. He just laughed and replied, "Yes. I’m here for a whole week."

"A whole week?" Everyone looked at Viktor.

"Yes, a whole week. What about you guys?"

Nichol replied, "We will hunt for 2 days before we run out of rations. And it’s dangerous to stay in a dungeon for 7 days. It’s a non-evaluated dungeon so who knows what kind of monster will come out. Also, it’s impossible to stay in for 7 days because dungeon air is toxic. Without any special equipment, a person will die. By the way, I don’t see any space ring on your hand."

"Oh, that’s because this staff has one space box. I have everything I need in them."

’It is a lie of course-_-. Why would I need a space ring when I have a huge dimension room bigger than a whole city?’

The gate of the teleportation portal opened. Viktor and his party looked at the gate and saw a few parties entering. So they also approached it and went inside after showing their ticket.

After entering through the gate, Viktor saw a massive forest. It was covered in thick vegetation.

After looking at the scenery, Viktor noticed a group of monkeys jumping from tree to tree. They were monsters with E-grade cores in their body.

The beastkin girl yelled and said, "Now!! I will show you who is the boss!!"

Separating from her party, she quickly rushed at those monkeys but after leaping a few meters. A huge D Rank crocodile bit her leg and pulled her underwater.

Nichol shook his head and said, "That’s why I gave her an hour of lecture for her betterment. It’s a non-evaluated dungeon where S-rank monsters also roam around. We are at the very bottom of the food chain so we need to form a party to hunt monsters. Let’s not waste any time and start looking for something that we can fight."

Everyone started to follow Nichol’s lead and soon, they saw a hoard of deer. They were all E-level deer and one of their core costs 10k units. They weren’t that valuable because they were bigger and wasted space in the ring. But for the party, it was enough for them to run a whole month in Polmar.

Hunters are wealthier than ordinary people.

Viktor just kept quiet and followed the group. He was actually looking for an S-class monster but finding one at the very beginning of the gate was impossible.

To hunt strong monsters, one must go deeper into the dungeon and that’s what Viktor was planning to do. He was planning to leave at night to keep him entertained for the whole week.

Suddenly a thing came into his mind.

"Where the hell is Yir-_-..." But nobody heard him because he was mumbling.

*About time you’re remembering me, my lord.*

"So you were there since I came here?"

*I travelled here with you but I sensed something very unholy so I went there to check it. Why feo still exists in Arcadia? Weren’t they all supposed to be killed?*

"A king god was too lazy to kill them."

*Ah, so that’s why they are still here.*

"Since you’re already here, why don’t you go and do me a favour?"

*Of course. Yir is at your service.*

"Search for an S-rank monster and drive it near the gate. Make sure some also die so it can become great news."

*As you wish, my lord.*

Yir then flew toward the higher ground to look for strong monsters as he was ordered.

A few hours later....

"Aaaah! M..monster!! Run for your life! It’s A-class monsters!"

A huge horde of spiders with 12 legs was rushing out of the forest. In front of them, about 20 people were running towards the gate to get out. But some of them had managed to get out of there and reported it to the higher-ups.

Soon, they rushed to the gates to close it but an error occurred. They couldn’t close the door.

Inside the dungeon, hunters were getting crushed under the spiders so the hunters from a guild which were secretly allied with the black market said something was odd.

S-class monsters would never leave their home and rush out of the forest unless something more powerful was chasing them. Moreover, they weren’t targeting the humans but rushing towards the gate where they sensed it to be the safest place. They were running away.

Viktor looked at the terrible situation and shook his head.

’Ah, I just told him to get one.. not a whole family. Now I’ll have to get out of here before I can apply for an ID.. ugh..’

Viktor jumped from the staff and after a minute of freefall, he landed in front of the gate where the best hunters of a guild were guarding the gate wearing a mask.

They were all professional hunters so they had to cover their faces to keep their identity hidden. It was a black-market guild quest after all.

The pro hunters saw a boy, not older than 17 drop out of nowhere with a mask. He had a staff on his left hand and the other hand was inside his pocket.

His gesture looked like he wasn’t worried at all.

"Hey, kid! What do you think you’re doing! Get back here and go to the otherside! We will take care of them."

One of the pro hunters was an old man. He looked strong, a strong fighter but Viktor knew he was underestimating his opponent.

Those monsters were at their peak of reaching S-class. It would be a disaster if one of them crosses the gate and breaks into Polmar.

Seeing the young kid standing in front of the monster horde made those pros think he was an idiot who thinks he can become a hero or something. One of them even approached them to drag him to the gate but the terrifying faces of those monsters stopped him from moving. They were just too many of them. But the old man who seemed a little strong tried to approach him but Viktor yelled,

"Old man, you’re too weak to face this monster. Why don’t you just step back?"

*Skeeeeehhh!!!!!* One spider jumped right in front of Viktor but in a slash of his wind cutter spell, its body turned into two pieces from its middle.

Everyone in the back was frozen in fear. Soon, Viktor eliminated every spider in the horde after the end of his hunt, he started to collect their cores.

"Hum.. they are pretty useless to me. But their eyes look pretty valuable. Let’s collect them."

At that moment, the old man with a black mask on his face approached him and said, "Young boy. How did you do it?"

Viktor kept doing what he was busy with and replied, "It’s you again. I just killed them because I needed money. Or else, I can’t pay fees for my school."

"No. I wanted to ask how you did it? You killed A-class monsters without even struggling."

"How? Oh. That’s because I am an A-class hunter.. ah.. an illegal one-_-."

Silence enveloped them as they kept staring at eachother.
