Chapter 250: Last quest on Erok. Part 8
"Um.. Akira. Are you sure about this? You know? She could be a spy?" A hero complained to Akira who was treating the wounded elf sobbing in pain.
"I’ve already asked her. She’s not a spy. My lie-detecting skill is godly. There’s no way a small and frail girl like her can hide anything from me. Even though she’s an elf, her magic seems to be low. But she’s stronger than royal knights."
Akira sighed and called a healer from the temple. Since discovering her identity was a serious matter, he immediately called the king and took her into custody.
But everyone was shocked after hearing her story. The way her family treated her and kicked her out of the kingdom because she possessed a dark affinity.
Dark affinity was also rare in the human realm and it was considered as a blessing. Since dark magic users have a greater understanding of space magic and have great control over curses, the king immediately took her in.
Because her magic was perfect for going against the elven kingdom.
She was regarded as a blessing from the gods.

7 days until the quest deadline...
"Lord Viktor. Are you sure going straight into its house will be a good idea?" Yir complained as he saw Viktor staring at a massive golden door.
He was examining the door because it was built with complex magic that keeps everyone away. But the dragon lord and Viktor were both level 90 so it couldn’t detect Viktor and Yir presence.
*Ba-dump...*
"Ah... I feel like my heart is trying to escape my body. Am I that excited? Heheheh!!! Well, it’s been a while since I had felt this way."
"My lord, are you okay?"
"Yes, I am more than feeling alright! Now.. let’s go in!"
Viktor punched the door with all his strength and the door flew inside. Breaking into the dragon’s home, the only thing that went into Viktor’s nose was the smell of rotten flesh.
It reeked of a rotten smell all over the place.
"Urg..."
Yir frowned his eyebrow and noticed something. "This.. this thing is supposed to be destroyed! What is this thing doing here?"
Viktor covered his nose and turned his attention to Yir. "What thing?"
"A... a creation of my precious Lord. A few centuries ago when he was resting in his residence, he wanted to build something with dragon blood. He made me collect some samples from different planets. Since a demigod can’t go to a realm lower than the guardian’s realm, he sent me to various plants. I also came to this planet a long time ago. That’s why I couldn’t recognize it because this planet has changed."
"So what is the connection between the dragon lord and Elesis?"
"The dragon lord is actually my previous Lord’s pet, no. You can say it was a loyal dog. My lord has fed so many dragon cores to that dragon. And I think the system has lied to you."
"How come?"
"If I were to compare your and the dragon lord’s strength, there’s no way you can beat him. He’s no less than a level 300 monster."
Viktor’s face turned white as paper as he heard Yir’s statement. Inside his mind, only one thing was repeated over and over again.
"6 months... the system gave me 6 months to level up. All I did was babysit the heroes and wage war between humans and elves. Ah.. I’m so f*cked up..."
*tsk!!*
"Well. Let’s not cry over the spilt milk. Let’s go and see how strong that lizard brat is."
Yir squinted his eyes and looked at Viktor’s back. He then said in his thoughts, ’No, I think the system has failed to evaluate his true potential. After fighting with Lord Viktor for more than a week, he was able to land multiple hits on me.
Instead of getting tired, he just grew stronger for his godly regeneration skill. He adapted to my fighting style and even predicted where I would hit him without using any skills or cheats.
Even though his attacks weren’t strong enough to damage my body, if I’m calculating currently, his one high kick is enough to blow away that lizard’s head.
I’m glad that I was useful to Lord Viktor. Truly, he is a great student who will learn anything under any circumstances. He’s like a void, a bottomless pit that devours everything. Whether it’s good or bad, he simply doesn’t care. All he cares about is what he gains.’
A faint smile appeared on the corner of his lips but they faded away as soon as he saw another door in front of him. It was smaller than the previous one.
"What do you think about this door, Yir? Do you think I should break it or knock it like a gentleman?"
Yir raised his brows and replied, "Why are you talking about matters when you’ve already broken the first one, my lord?"
"Ahem-_-! It’s not too late to become a good person-_-."
He again cleared his throat and yelled, "EXCUSE ME!!!!"*BOOOMMM!!!!*
With a punch, he again blew away the second door.
Yir’s eyes widened as he saw how he blew the door by pretending to knock. He was speechless by his mannerful act.
Viktor smiled at Yir and said, "Why are you spacing out? Let’s go!"
Somewhere inside the dragon lord’s den....
A man with red hair was busy researching a complex magic circle with concentration. Besides his book, there was a cup of tea evaporating steam. He was busy studying on his messy desk.
Suddenly, he noticed a vibration in his tea. Not only that but also he saw some dust falling on his book from the ceiling.
"An earthquake?", the person muttered and checked the ground with his magic. Since he was an earth dragon, sending all types of natural disasters related to the earth was one of his abilities.
But after checking the ground, he found nothing.
"Hum? This is not mortal.. is there something going on outside? A war? Or an intruder?"
He checked his whole area with his magic and found out the elven people he took care of all these years were fighting with humans. But there was no reason for him to get involved so he ignored it and went back to his study.
Right at that moment, he felt a familiar presence after so many years. It was the presence of an archangel whom he worked with for so many years. But he never got along with him because both of them were under constant bullying, abusing, harming and receiving threats from their master.
In terms of strength, that archangel was far more stronger than the dragon lord. Since he was an angel, he was kind and had the purest soul. The dragon lord wanted to get acknowledgement from the angel but he acted as if he didn’t even exist.
The dragon lord hated it so much and eventually, he started to hate him and hold a grudge against him. He envied his beauty and his power.
But the same person whom he hated for so many centuries showed his face, which made him confused and angry. He was irritated by the fact that he broke into his house.
He could’ve just knocked.
"What is that firefly doing inside my house? Showing his face out of nowhere after all these years? Wait, he must be following orders. I am sure that bastard lord of mine has sent him to take me back. Right? Shit! I have to run away!! But where!! Where is my portal stone!!"
"Xiamaru!! Long time no see, buddy!" Yir entered his room and greeted him with a bright smile. "I missed you."
Yes, Xiamaru was his name and he was severely shocked by his speech. The Yir he knew was completely opposite of the current Yir who was standing before him but the aura of a soul doesn’t lie. He was more than 100% sure he was Yir, his ex-co-worker.
"Y..Yir.. yes. It’s been a long time..what are you doing here.."
"I’ve come to see how you’re doing and also, I’ve bought the lord of my new lord. Let me introduce him."
He then pointed his finger at his feet and said, "This is Viktor E. North. The demigod of all living records, a new demigod who is currently settling in Helsia. And, demon lord od Erok who’s currently responsible for the war which is happening between the eleven people and humans."
The humanoid dragon with bright red eyes scanned Viktor from top to bottom with his sharp eyes and said, "A demigod? I don’t sense any divine qi from his body. And a demon lord? Stop spouting nonsense. There’s no way a shrimp-like him can be the demon lord, my sworn enemy."
Yir’s complexion went dark as Xiamaru finished talking. "Do you think a pure angel like me would go around telling lies? Especially to my co-worker whom I worked with for centuries?"
Xiamaru thought of himself as stupid because there was no reason for Yir to lie.
He was shocked by his lack of awareness.
