Chapter 249: Last quest on Erok. Part 7
13 days until the quest deadline...
It’s been a while since Viktor had a proper exercise. After coming to Erok, he felt like his joints were forming rust because he never had to use his full force in any fight. Even though his body was always healthy and fit, his laziness was making every inch of his body shore.
He wanted to fight with every bit of his strength.
And by thinking that, an idea came to his head and decided to give it a try.
....
Inside a spacious training room inside Viktor’s dimension room.
"My lord, are you sure you want to fight me?" Yir took off his overcoat and wore a battle suit that nearly covered every inch of his perfect body. He tied his hair up and made a pair of hand gloves out of aura.
They were preparing for a ’normal’ fistfight.
Viktor on the other side of the room wore a similar-looking battle suit. His body was giving him a warning because his opponent was an archangel. Compared to his opponent whose level was evaluated as 200+, he was a mere level 90 with no special attack.
He was only relying on knowledge and fighting instinct. In his whole life, he had never used his body as a weapon. A sword and scythe was his only choice of weapon.
Viktor clenched his fist and got into a fighting position by lowering his body a little. His hair was tied up with a rubber band so it was Yir’s first time seeing his whole face.
He was astonished by his beauty.
"My lord, are you perhaps using anti-charm magic all the time?"
"You just noticed?" Viktor smirked and again said, "Your magic-detecting skills are superior to mine so I guess you can look through it."
"I didn’t know... anyway..let’s begin our match."
"Yea, let’s not slack off anymore. I need to learn how to use my body instead of burying my head into books."
Both of them vanished from their spot after Viktor gave the signal and then, a shockwave appeared in the middle of the room. It was Yir who blocked Viktor’s punch without taking any damage.
Yir looked at his arm and saw no visible damage, but he knew what just went through his body. Viktor might be a level 90, but his attacks were more powerful compared to his level. It was his experience.
"Woh.. you blocked that? As expected of an archangel."
"I will take that as a compliment, my lord. But please watch out. This is going to hurt like heaven..."
Punch!!!!
In a matter of seconds, a punch landed on Viktor’s torso, making him fly a few meters away. That one attack was enough to make his breakfast burst out of his stomach.
"Blegh... oi Yir. Are you trying to make me fight with an empty stomach? That’s so cruel..."
"You told me to go easy on you so I’m doing as I am instructed. Please get up, you need to train that body of yours until you land a hit on me."
Yir smirked and went back to his battle pose. Clenching his fists, he again ran towards Viktor who barely stood on his feet and landed a punch on his jaw.
That made his jaw dislocated in a bad way.
"Ugh... Yir.. aeee yoo tyin to krr ne?" (Are you trying to kill me?)
Viktor grabbed his jaw, shifted it back to its original position and used healing magic.
"So we are not playing anymore, huh? I will get serious now."
Viktor grabbed his ponytail and mumbled, ’Goodbye, my long hair. Please grow back soon.’
With a swish of his wind magic, he cut off his hair because they were a hindrance to his training.
"M..my lord?" Yir was surprised.
"Don’t mind me. Just do your job." Viktor advised and ran towards Yir for an attack on him.
.....
Roundtable meeting, somewhere deep inside Romos’ imperial office.
"Your Highness, what should we do!" A group of nobles asked their emperor with a terrified expression. After receiving a war declaration, their complexity kept demoting day by day. Because the whole empire was surrounded by elves and had no clue when they might start attacking.
Romos might be the strongest empire on Erok but in front of elves, they were far inferior to strength, magic and knowledge.
"Your Highness..?"
The emperor raised his head and replied, "Heroes... summon the heroes right now."
"But your highness! If we stop the heroes’ mission and send them to the battlefield, there is no way of knowing when the demons will come out and attack!!"
A demon who has disguised as a noble for more than 100 years was present in the meeting. Since he knew it was a great opportunity to weaken the humans, he opposed his advice and said, "Sir Wellington, I think we should focus on the current problem we are facing. If we don’t involve the heroes in this war, mankind won’t even exist to fight with the demons. Please use your brain instead of your silly skull filled with gold coins."
"Sir Abrak!! How dare you insult me in front of everyone!!"
"Silence!!!" The emperor shouted and looked at the duke angrily. "Wellington! This is not the time for silly jokes! Summon the heroes right now!!"
"Y..yes, Your Highness.."
’Ugh...where are you, big brother Viktor!’ The emperor thought in his mind and looked at the letter with the elven king’s seal. It was a war declaration.
He then shook his head and after a few minutes, he saw the 6 heroes coming inside the room with tense expressions on their faces. They were all confused and also worried because of their sudden summon.
"Did you call for us, Your Highness?" Akira asked.
"Yes. You must be tired after walking all the way here at this late hour. Take a seat, we have a lot to discuss..."
....
10 days left until the quest deadline...
"Listen, Scarlet, never tell anyone that you’re a vampire. If someone asks for your origin, tell them that you’re a banished elf from the elven kingdom and elves are your enemy."
Viktor swiped his arm to his left and 6 screens appeared in front of her.
He then pointed his finger at them and said, "They are your target. They are from another planet, called Heroes in Romos. If you nag a little, I am sure they will take you in as a party member and help you fight your enemy."
"My lord, but how am I going to search for them? Romos is a big country. And undoubtedly, they are incredibly strong."
"Hah... I will drop you in front of their house so you don’t have to go through that problem. But after that, it’s your job to take care of them. Your country’s king has declared war on the humans. If you join humans, you can get your revenge soon."
"Yes, my lord."
Viktor looked at Yir and said, "Now, go and escort her to the House of Heroes. Make sure they don’t see you. Just throw her and come back."
"You’re not telling me to drop her from the sky, do you-_-?"
"-_-. Her body is so strong to withstand a free fall, Yir. Just escort her near their house quietly. She can take care of the rest."
Viktor looked back at Scarlet and said, "Listen, kid. You’re a clever girl. One day, you will rule a whole continent. So make sure to use any method that will lead you to your goal. You’re loved by the demigod. I have high expectations for you. Now, go my child. Live your life to the fullest and make me happy. I will give you more reward if you complete this task."
The little girl smiled brightly and went to Yir to hold his hand. "Sir angel! Let’s go! I don’t want to waste any time anymore! Lord Viktor!! I will come back soon!! I will never disappoint you! Please look after me!"
Viktor put a bright smile on his face and waved his hand. He opened the door to the outside world and granted them access to the outside.
Soon, they walked outside and the door to the outside world vanished.
*Sigh*"...taking care of a kid is not easy..."
He yawned a little and said, "Now, let’s get ready for my dragon lord quest... umm..what should I wear?"
After searching for 2 hours, he finally picked up his clothes and took his favourite scythe from his weaponry. It was made of platinum, crafted vine designs on its blade. It was shiny but it wasn’t made out of mana or programmed with any magic.
It was just a normal weapon that was sturdy enough to channel mana into it.
"Now, let’s hit the road!"

9 days left until the quest deadline...
Akira, who was busy honing his skills in the camp, somehow forgot the flow of time and ended up working overnight. It was midnight but after listening to the current situation, he couldn’t rest at all.
He knew elves were stronger than humans and their control of mana was much greater than anyone. The upcoming war was a hopeless one so he couldn’t help but be glued with his sword.
Suddenly, he heard a noise from the bush.
*Rushtel..*
"Huh? Is that a monster?"
He narrowed his eyes and approached the bush without making a noise. He thought it could be a monster so right at the moment he was about to swing his sword, he heard a small child’s voice.
She was crying.
He then cut the bush in one swish and saw a golden-haired girl.
His eyes widened as he saw the pointy ears. Her red eyes were shining like a pair of rubies by the reflection of the moon.
She was an elf, a wounded elf filled with serious wounds all over her body.
"L..little girl, are you alright?"
