Chapter 238: Hero’s death. 1
The time was running faster. To complete his extra quest, he had to change almost every maids’ servants’ memory and set an anti-charm stone deep inside the imperial palace to prevent the saint from using her power.
Since the system called 009 told him not to use his power on the heroes that have the potential of harming the main quest, he had to change the reality around him.
Changing reality is something a mortal can’t do or even if he manages to do, he has to face a big consequence. Because a man is not a god and every mortal has weaknesses.
But the term ’weakness’ only applies to mortals so it wasn’t a big deal to Viktor.
With his fragment, changing a mortal’s reality was child’s play to him.
But he was a demigod that had some weaknesses which can be harmed by gods more powerful than him. Furthermore, he was already tied with a King god’s spell so getting out of there was basically impossible unless he meets the requirements.
For that reason, he had to use any method to get closer to the heroes as soon as possible. But no matter what he did, the saint didn’t listen and kept getting sick of the backlash of system rules. She kept breaking the law and thus, kept getting weakened.
Akira, as well as the king also warned her about the system rules for the sake of her safety secretly but she paid no attention to their warning. She kept doing as she liked, resulting in the erasement of most of her chest skills.
Viktor could easily cure her problem because Uranium had almost got a grasp on the system backlash but he wanted her to die. She was the only reason why Viktor couldn’t complete his side quest. Also, the time was running out.
’Should I push things a little more?’
He thought of a plan and decided to go on a trip with the hero party deep into the forest where dungeons remain. After thinking about it for so long, he finally concluded that he could easily get rid of the saint and also make a good relationship with the heroes without failing. He didn’t care about what would happen after the sight dies but as long as the quest meets its requirement.
It was two birds in one stone.
He couldn’t stop the grin on his face no matter how much he tried after calculating everything possible outcome.

For the past few weeks, Viktor held practical classes and took the 7 heroes along with the noisy prince into various dungeons. For the sake of their levelling up, Viktor let them fight by putting their life on the line.
All he had to do was to sit on his staff and enjoy their struggle every second. To him, it was spectacular scenery.
Viktor chucked and watched them like ants struggling to touch the sky.
It was night in the middle of a deep forest. Somewhere in the deep forest, a ball of orange fire could be seen. Around the fire which was emitting white smoke, a group of adventurers was resting after a long day of hunting.
Some of them were sleeping and the others were guarding. They were the hero party who reached level 50 just a couple of hours ago.
Not so far from the group, a man was sitting above a tree, reading a shiny red book. He was so concentrated on his study that he didn’t even bother the owl which was sitting on his head.
His white hair matched the owl’s feather that anyone would have misunderstood him as a beast tamer if they saw him in that state. But in reality, animals don’t show hostility towards those who’re connected to the universe so it was simply counting Viktor as part of nature. But it was also not connected or tamed because the universe is an individual thing. Everything that lives in nature is connected so taming was not necessary. It also applies to demonic creatures and monsters.
Also, it was not some ordinary owl. It was a messenger owl from the demon realm sent by Azazel.
"How long are you planning to stay seated on my head?" Viktor asked and closed the book he was reading. He then grabbed the owl with both of his hands and analysed its whole body from top to bottom.
’Hmm.. it’s my first time touching an owl. It looks big but it’s just a ball of fur except for its baseball head...
Is it tasty??...’
As he was lost in his thoughts, the owl showed him its leg and said, *My lord. Please look at the item my master delivered. And feed me. I am hungry. I will give you one of my eggs as an offering."
"I don’t need your egg as an offering, owl. Just stay still. I will untie it."
*But we can’t take anything from the Lord unless we offer something. It’s the rule of nature. We are bound to show respect..*
"Then give me one of your feathers as an offering."
As soon as Viktor untied the small capsule from its leg, the owl pulled a feather from its wings and placed it on Viktor’s hand.
"I am offering my feather to the lord as a blessing. Please grant me a wish."
Viktor raised his brows to hear the owl wants him to fulfil a wish. A feather of an owl’s wing is like an arm to it. Sacrificing it means a lot.
Viktor looked at its wing and saw it was trying its best to hide the pain. It didn’t bleed but birds felt as if a human pulled one nail from a finger.
So Viktor healed its wing and said, "Okay then. Tell me what you desire."
After a short conversation with the owl, the owl left with a shiny golden ring that Viktot just made and glanced at the heroes.
They were sleeping peacefully with no worries in their mind sk Viktor wanted to play a game. Since the two of them had fallen asleep instead of guarding the others, he decided to teach them a lesson.
After looking around, he noticed a monster above level 60 walking far away from where he was sitting. To catch its attention, Viktor threw a rock from that distance and successfully hit its head.
Since it was a demonic monster, it simply ran towards the direction where the rock came from. Since it was a savage creature, its rage didn’t notice the presence of a lord, a nature protector so it ran and aimed its sharp horn on the magic barrier.
The ground started to shake due to its weight. Since some heroes had danger-directing instincts, they jumped from their sleep and pointed their weapons in the direction. Akira was one of them.
For his system to act up suddenly due to the sudden danger instinct, it forcefully woke him up. His head was stinging in sharp pain as he was trying to focus on what was going on around him. But every hair on his body knew something terrible was approaching him and he couldn’t see Viktor anywhere near them.
Before they went to sleep, Viktor told him he was going on a secret mission for the black guild so it might take half a day to come back. But it was a lie. He was sitting so close to them, observing every single move by hiding his presence and using invisibility magic.
That made him worry for the party because if Viktor was around, he’d kill any threatening monster for their protection. His sweat started to form on his body and then, he saw the prince sleeping inside his sleeping bag hugging the saint in peace.
His eyes twisted in rage.
Akira then brutally kicked the prince and woke him up from his slumber. Since he was a prince, Akira’s action hurt his pride and pointed his sword at his neck. But that’s when Viktor cut their argument.
The group of heroes looked above and saw Viktor sitting and watching the whole thing with a disappointed expression on his face.
"I thought people tend to throw away their pride when they face death. I guess I was wrong. There are some muscleheads who don’t value their life at all. I must say that I am genuinely disappointed by the Prince’s act."
Akira turned his head quickly at Viktor in relief. He knew Viktor would kill the approaching monster so he put down his sword and sighed.
But the prince frowned and yelled, "Know your place, you piece of scum! How dare you disrespect the prince!! Looks like it is you who doesn’t value his life."
A smile appeared on Viktor’s face and without answering his question, he pointed his index finger towards the demonic ox that broke through the mage’s barrier.
The death state made everyone feel a chill down their spine but it was too late. Before they could form their positions of a party, the ox pierced through one student’s torso with its sharp longhorn.
Viktor grinned and mumbled, ’Well, there goes one, six remain.’
