None magicians’ staff or simply known as magic item is a type of item that helps a person cast magic without any mana. To use the staff, one must know the engraved magic spells on it. It works like a gun that’s easy to use.

This type of magic item was made by a no-named god so many years ago. He didn’t like the fact that mortals couldn’t use the wonderful magic so he made so many magic items and gifted them to the mortal world.

Soon, the moral world became chaotic and he had to take them back. After that, he never revealed how those items were made and where the items were. He simply took them away and destroyed most of them.

The legend says it’s a cheat item and it destroyed the balance of the world’s magic. So it needs to be destroyed if spotted.

"But I don’t care about anything. Saving my life is my top priority. And I will do anything to save my life. Even if it means to create something destructive."

The staff Viktor made was something from an ancient era of God’s realm. To make a magic item with this technology, one must know how and where to engrave the magic circle on the item. The magic circle has a collector that collects mana from its surroundings and casts magic spells within 1 second of enchanting.

The more magic circle it has, the more magic spells it can cast.

Viktor knew all kinds of magic item-related knowledge but it was under the pile of so much information that he couldn’t remember it because he wasn’t in his real body. It was buried deep inside his memories so it took a small hint to pop up in his memory.

He remembered it after he saw the dwarf and the hot iron.

"I just love using cheats..." He flew all the way to the monster hunting ground and saw all the adventurers were gathering. He also noticed the hero party near the lord of the town.

He landed far away from the spot and walked near the gathering.

He then approached a man and asked, "Am I too late?"

"A new adventurer huh? Young man, what’s your name? That staff is thin and weak looking. Judging by your look, I assume that you are a mage."

"Yes. I am Grimm. I’m new and pretty weak. Please take care of me."

The middle-aged man laughed and smacked his back twice. "It’s rare to see a well-mannered kid nowadays. Well then, kid. Go and register your ID at that camp. The lord’s men will give you a ticket for dinner. And you will get one gold coin when the raid is over."

Viktor looked around and saw there were more than 100 adventurers and above 200 soldiers. The number, the armours of the Lord’s soldiers and the rank of the adventurers weren’t a joke. Something serious was about to happen.

Moreover, he felt the mana around him was acting odd. They were all gathering underground, probably where the dungeon is.

’ This is bad. If the air doesn’t have enough mana, my magic attacks won’t work. I need to stand in a place where mana is denser.’

After he checked in at the camp, he took the ticket and tried his best to avoid the hero’s party. Because the tank guy was looking for him. Since they were the hero party members, they were allowed to kill any adventurer whom they saw as threats or bad.

Viktor was also included in that list because somehow, he pissed him off.

’Just wait until I see you in the sky realm-_-.’

Viktor had nothing to do but list those people who annoyed him during his dungeon journey. He wanted to show whom they were messing with but his main goal was to level up and connect his consciousness to his body.

’But it’s been a while since I had some fried chicken-_-.’

He looked around and found a spot where he sensed mana. There wasn’t anyone in the place so he climbed onto a tree and took a seat. At that moment, a young swordsman noticed him on the tree.

She was astonished to see his attractive white hair so she approached the tree and looked above. Even though he was wearing a mask, he was still standing out.

"Are you scared?"

Viktor looked below and saw a young noble-looking swordsman staring at his feet. Her armour looked so expensive so he assumed she was related to the Lord’s family somehow.

After finishing the fruit in his mouth, he wiped his face with his sleeve and said, "Yes, I’m scared. Please leave me alone."

"How disgraceful. A man is scared so he’s taking shelter in a tree. You should be ashamed of yourself!"

The young girl with the figure of a 25-year-old lady looked somehow attractive to Viktor. She was not more than 18 and yet she was talking like a grown-up lady. She fixed her long pink ponytail and again looked above.

"Come down at once. You’re going to stay by my side and be my meat shield. You should be honoured that the great swordsman of the Falcon house has accepted you as her meat shield."

Viktor hugged the tree branch like a cat and said, "Oh my.. I can’t get down... I’m so scared.." But his face was saying that she needs to mind her business and walk away. He wasn’t in a mode at all.

The girl became so annoyed that she cut the huge tree with one swing of her blade. The tree immediately fell to the ground but there was no young man seen.

Viktor had already gone to another tree before she took out her sword.

"I can’t believe a noble lady is chasing a guy like me. I wonder what the others will think? Hum? Are you in love with me?"

Viktor gave off a smile under his white mask and again jumped on another tree.

"Me? Fall in love? Don’t make me lose my temper! Come down at once!!"

With one swing of her blade, she cut down more than 30 trees in the forest. Even after that, she couldn’t realise that she was playing on Viktor’s hand. Without even knowing, she blocked the escape route that would lead the Lord’s army to disaster.

Viktor remained in his position on a tree and said, "Foolish kid. You just dug your own grave."

Suddenly, an earthquake occurred and countless monsters started to pour out. A loud bell rang and she immediately rushed to the spot.

The monsters were ant monsters and they were all level 10 so they were impossible for Viktor to face one on one. So he climbed onto a tree and looked for an opportunity to use his magic staff rather than using his own magic. Because he was using his identity as Grimm, not Viktor.

’This staff has more than 20 fire attacks and 20 black magic attacks. Making this staff took me so much of my energy that my head is still ringing. But the result was great. Now, I just have to use my magic on that swarm of ants and level up.’

Viktor looked at the helpless soldiers getting eaten by the ants from afar and started to throw fire attacks at them. He didn’t even care about where the attacks were landing. Some of the soldiers also died from his attack but he didn’t care.

His main goal was to level up after all, not to save or help anyone.

After a while, another swarm came out from the dungeon so the lord announced they should retreat. About 50% of the soldiers started to retreat but sadly, their secret escape path was blocked by huge trees. So many soldiers were injured so they failed to climb them.

The lord noticed the cuts on the tree and became vexed. "Where is Shulia!!! Call her right now!!!"

Lord knew whose sword marks they were and he called her middle daughter. "Look what have you done!! Why did you do this!!! Why!! We need to get these soldiers to the temple to get them healed!! Then why did you block this path!! Are you crazy!!"

She looked around and realised what she had done. "F..father!! It wasn’t my fault!!"

"You expect me to believe that!!! You expect me to believe that it wasn’t you and you mistakenly did this? Why!! What was the reason? Do you want us to die!?"

At that moment, a soldier came running with one of his hands missing and said, "My lord!!! The swarm has defeated Troop A!! It’s on its way here!! We need to run!!!"

"What!! What are those adventurers doing!!!"

"T..they ran away...Only the hero party is fighting back.."

"The hero party?? I told them to guard my sons in the battlefield!! Why are they fighting!!!"

"I..I don’t know.. but we need to run, my lord.. Please!! Give us orders..."

Viktor looked at the Lord’s desperate face from afar and chucked. "Now I can hunt more monsters. The escape path is blocked, which means not a single monster can get out. And I can level up more... heheh...this is really fun.."
