Chapter 198: Warning

Aion, the god of time is a being that was self-created at the very beginning of the creation of the void. Some ancient god says that Aion is a brother of the void who controls time and has existed infinitely.

Aion is also a god that nobody knows where its territory exists. He does not associate with other gods and some say that he has a realm of his own, outside the void’s dominance. But it’s just a myth since nobody has proved it.

Aion, the god of time, remained a mystery forever. He sometimes comes to the realm of gods to stop some events that would destroy the realm and leaves right after. He works so quietly that nobody ever gets any clue of his anything. But this time, it was different.

Viktor stared at a man’s back with a sharp focus for a whole minute. He was about to go inside the dungeon but something unexpected happened in his future.

The tower was gone along with the territory of Kobayashi in an hour when they weren’t looking. It just disappeared from the map so Viktor was shocked to see his future where he couldn’t enter the tower and ended up fighting with mad Kobayashi.

So he rushed to the spot and found a man standing in front of the door, trying to get inside. Viktor knew that he was no way near that man’s level so he just kept his mouth shut and stared at his back.

After looking at him for a few minutes, he realised that it wasn’t a man, he was a young-looking teenager with short brown hair. His tanned skin and glowing yellow moles all over his body looked like gems reflecting the sunlight in a sand desert. His ears were decorated with golden earrings, carrying the symbols of a clock.

’There is no doubt about it. He is the timekeeper who works for the void to keep the major events in control. He’s the creator of time itself. If I made a mistake, he will grill me on a burning stove forever inside his time capsule.’

But Aion sensed his presence and without any warning, he appeared in front of Viktor with an expressionless face.

Viktor was left speechless so he just waved his hand at him. Aion was also speechless to see there was a demigod who can see through his odd arrivals. He made sure that none of the time magic users couldn’t see him but he seemed to get caught by someone new.

A new time magician that can look through his time magic. Aion said, "Who you might be?"

"It’s a nice day, isn’t it? But you seem to disrupt my plan so I came to find out the reason."

"I asked you a question. Answer me or die." Aion made a sharp blade out of mana in his hand and pointed at Viktor’s head. Viktor then raised both of his hands and said, "Calm down brother, I’m not here to harm you. Let’s have a friendly chat."

"I’m not here for any chat, I asked you, who are you?"

"I’m Viktor E. North. A friendly harmless demigod walking around Helsia. I plan to enter that tower today. Mind if you step back and let me enter it?"

Aion knew the tower was a place that shouldn’t exist in heaven. It was dangerous and harmful that should exist in hell, not in heaven. From his calculation, lots of people would die in the future to gain more power and break the balance of heaven. So he came down and decided to destroy the tower along with its land. But when he heard that Viktor wanted to enter it, he couldn’t help but refuse to move.

"I won’t allow anyone to enter."

"That’s sad but if I don’t enter the tower, it will gravely affect the future. Don’t you think so?"

Aion was confused. So he looked through the future based on Viktor’s decision and became shocked. He started to tremble to see the horrifying situation of heaven and fell to his knees. "Who..are you? How did you know?"

"Do you know about the secret realm called the elemental guardian realm?"

"Y..yes. It was created by the daughter of the god of light. She has committed a grave crime so she was stripped from her title as a noble. But what does it have to do with you?"

"That pendant you have around your neck, isn’t it missing a piece?"

"How did you know about this?"

"That was stolen by her and she used to create an elemental guardian. She was called the guardian of time who had the ability to go back and forth between the past, and also the future. Sadly, I took it from her and devoured it. So, I am also a time user. You and I are the same, we both use time magic."

"Time? Do you know how important that piece of the pendant was? Give it back!!"

"I’m sorry but the god of holiness has broken it and made it into an essence. She used that to create the guardian of time and currently, I hold the ownership of it. It’s not some object that I can hand over. More importantly, I don’t think it’s safe for you to stay here even though you are stronger than any god here. The void will soon feel your presence and send dark guardians here."

Aion smirked and said, "Boy, I don’t know who you are. But since you know about everything, let me give you a warning."

Aion then opened a portal somewhere and said, "Listen carefully, my calculation is telling me that you can complete the tower. But after that, you shouldn’t aim for the succession tournament. The void has changed its mind. My time is almost up, I have to leave this realm now."

"Leave this realm? Does that mean there are realms outside the void?"

"Boy, you have no idea what exists outside the void. I will come again. But for now, I have to say goodbye, Viktor. Don’t disappoint me when I come back."

Viktor looked at the drastic change in his future. The goal he was aiming for suddenly vanished and his future became locked. It was like he would not be able to see his future because it was something so big, something very important that a demigod had no permission to see.

A wall was created.

"The future has changed. Not only that, I can’t see what will happen when he comes. All I can see is he will give me the other piece of the pendant but after that, my memory is blocked. It’s not letting me see what happens next. This is bothersome."

Viktor looked at the gate of the massive tower and said, "But I’m glad that I was able to save it at the eleventh hour. Or else, Kobayashi would take my head."

At that moment, Adonis approached him and said, "Master, who was that person?"

"That? He is the opposite of the void, Aion. The creator of time."

"Time?" Adonis was astonished to hear there was a god of time.

"Yes, time. He came here to stop a major event that would destroy the balance but when I showed up, he understood what would happen so he just left after giving me a warning."

"What warning, master?"

"That is something that I don’t want to speak of yet. I will tell you, but after I complete the tower."

Viktor then took his scythe out of his dimension pocket and said, "Adonis, make sure to complete the dungeons in Helsia with everyone. Our goal has changed. And be aware of Elesis and Kobayashi’s friends. Also, don’t approach Delkira or anyone from Lucifer’s troop."

"Master, when will I see you again?" Viktor looked at Adonis and saw a sad complexion. He wasn’t happy at all.

"Adonis, I will be back soon. And if something happens, I will just drop a bomb inside and run away."

"Please don’t do anything reckless and come back soon. I will be waiting for you."

Yir slowly approached Viktor and said, "Lord Viktor, is that okay if I follow Adonis as my lord? I want to serve him."

"You know he’s my servant, right? If you serve him, you will have to serve me as your great lord and pay the same respect as he does. Well, I don’t care whom you decide to serve but make sure to do it faithfully. Adonis, take care of your broiler while I’m out."

Adonis chuckled and replied, "Yes, my lord. Have a safe journey."

"Well then, see you soon."

Viktor touched the door to the tower. It immediately listed him as a participant and started to take him inside by making his body into blue pixels. Viktor knew the challenge wouldn’t be an easy one because the tower will put a restriction on his core. But since he had studied thousands of strategies to complete it, he was hoping for a good result.

Viktor’s long journey to reach the top of the tower begins.
