Munni’s eyes did not hide the sarcasm towards Zhao Yaru, her gaze slowly swept past Zhao Yaru and fell on Zhang Chufeng’s face.

"After so many years, I suppose you don’t remember me anymore? I am the disgusting guy you once said looked like a beggar."

Her voice was cold as ice, each word tinged with biting chill.

Zhao Yaru’s face turned somewhat unsightly because of Munni’s words, but she restrained herself since Xu Yisen was sitting opposite, not wanting to show displeasure.

Zhang Chufeng was not displeased by her words, maintaining a thin smile on his face.

Zhao Yaru chuckled dryly, "Munni, what are you saying, child."

Munni ignored her and slowly turned her gaze to Xu Yisen who was sitting opposite the two.

He sat quietly in the sofa chair, exuding an aura of noble indifference.

His delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly as his gaze, complex and profound, looked at Munni.

Munni met his gaze indifferently, curling her lips in mockery, "Chairman Xu, nicely done."

After tossing this bland remark, she turned to look at Yuan Chengmo, who was already standing behind her, and smiled, "Senior, let’s go, let’s not disturb their meal."

Yuan Chengmo nodded and extended his right hand to Munni.

Munni extended her left hand, allowing Yuan Chengmo to lead her away.

Before leaving, Yuan Chengmo glanced deeply at Xu Yisen, who was staring at them, his refined eyebrows full of irony.

"Apologies, I must excuse myself." Xu Yisen elegantly wiped his lips with the dining cloth then placed it on the table, standing up to pursue Munni.

Xu Yisen’s departure stained Zhao Yaru’s expression with a bit of embarrassment, clearly feeling very angry about Munni’s insult and her interruption of her dining with Zhang Chufeng and Xu Yisen.

In contrast, Zhang Chufeng’s attitude remained quite composed, he calmly cut the steak, placed it in his mouth, chewing carefully, his every move gracefully executed.

Originally, Yuan Chengmo and Munni intended to dine at the Western restaurant, but due to the previous small incident, Munni had no interest in dining at all.

When Xu Yisen chased out of the Western restaurant, the elevator doors had just closed.

He hurriedly ran to the safety corridor, descending the stairs.

The Western restaurant was located on the fifth floor of this building, and by the time he reached the lobby, Munni had already left in Yuan Chengmo’s car.

He furrowed his brows tightly, took out his phone from his pocket, and dialed Munni’s number, but it only rang for a moment before being hung up.

When he dialed back again, Munni’s phone was already turned off.

Yisen made a call to Tang Haoliang to cancel all of today’s schedules and then drove to Munni’s house.

At that time, Munni hadn’t returned home yet, so he had to stand at her doorstep waiting.

The longer he waited, the more anxious he felt, the sense of powerlessness left him feeling quite helpless.

As time ticked away, finally after waiting for three hours, he heard the faint sound of footsteps beside him.

Yisen slowly turned his gaze, seeing Munni with her head lowered, walking slowly towards this direction.

"Munni." He parted his thin lips, softly calling Munni’s name.

The low and hoarse voice suddenly resonated in the quiet corridor, stopping Munni’s steps abruptly, her expression confused as she raised her head to look at Yisen standing at the door.

After a moment, she averted her gaze, ignoring his call completely.
