Chapter 520: Chapter 520: The Traitor
A few months had passed, and Ji Yang’s life now was truly enviable, living in a mansion that was built especially for him, filled with many beautiful girls.
Ji Yang sat there enjoying a massage from two lovely girls, feeling utterly relaxed.
Currently, this place was completely secured by Gao Changjun’s team—many professionals from Myanmar had been recruited for Ji Yang’s security, specifically overseen by Sun Changping, a former special forces soldier from Hua Country who had to leave the army due to an incident and had ended up here, discovered by Gao Changjun by chance. After an interview with Ji Yang, Sun was immediately promoted.
Sun Changping was a capable man, and soon he had managed Ji Yang’s security quite effectively.
Ji Yang had long since sensed Sun Changping’s gratitude and loyalty, making him trust Sun with his own security wholly.
The security personnel, all from Hua Country, were very strong.
Without the concerns for safety, Ji Yang’s daily life became thoroughly enjoyable.
Ji Yang was not a reserved man, and all these carefully selected girls were quite exceptional; therefore, Ji Yang had recently been changing and enjoying the services of these beauties.
Moreover, the amount of True Yuan he obtained from these girls each day was increasing, which made him feel even more powerful.
"Le Qin is here," said Sun, walking in. "He says he has something important to discuss."
"Let him in."
Now, to see Ji Yang, Le Qin needed to be announced, which was Sun’s directive.
Soon, Le Qin entered the place.
Le Qin walked in, glancing at the bright-eyed guards with respect, knowing they were all capable fighters.
"Mr. Ji."
"Sit."
Carefully taking his seat, Le Qin then said, "Mr. Ji, there’s been an issue. Kanman has been getting closer to the Redstone Army recently. From what I have gathered, he might betray us."
Redstone Army?
Ji Yang was aware of this organization, which boasted over eight thousand troops, a force to be reckoned with.
"Is the situation clear?" asked Ji Yang, now taking the matter seriously.
Le Qin had split their forces into ten factions, each of which kept the others in check. Now, each faction was growing rapidly, each able to mobilize over a thousand soldiers. Together, they had tens of thousands of people.
"Kanman is probably eyeing the Western weapon support. With financial backing from the West, in addition to weapon supplies, he would be able to quickly bolster his force and easily raise an army of a few thousand."
"There’s more to it, right?"
"Yes, Kanman might be unhappy with his share of the profits, and with potential support promised by the Redstone Army, with their ten thousand fighters, he might not fear us soon."
Right then, Ji Yang looked at Le Qin, his thoughts racing. Now that all factions were growing, everyone probably had their own agendas. Even Le Qin might be testing his reaction—if he couldn’t handle this smoothly, Kanman might come up with new ideas.
He didn’t really believe he was invincible, that everyone would remain forever loyal to him. As his power grew, it was normal for people to have their own thoughts—all he needed to do was make a strong move.
"Changping, what has your investigation found?"
Sun Changping’s team included an intelligence department, tasked with closely monitoring each faction’s movements. In fact, Ji Yang already knew a bit about Kanman’s situation. The reason he hadn’t acted was that he wanted to see who else would jump out.
Sun reported earnestly, "From what we’ve gathered, Kanman is conspiring with the Redstone Army. The West has indeed offered financial and weapon support. Half of his people are willing to follow him while others disagree."
Hearing this, Le Qin’s expression changed slightly; he realized that Ji Yang was showcasing their intelligence capabilities, and probably every move of his was known to Ji Yang.
Ji Yang then looked at Le Qin and said, "Since he hasn’t done anything yet, let’s wait and see."
Sweat beaded on Le Qin’s forehead—Ji Yang had known all along and apparently wasn’t even concerned about Kanman’s actions.
That was close!
Le Qin felt it was fortunate that he had come today. If he hadn’t shown up after learning the news, who knows what might have happened.
