The Alpha's long lost heir
Chapter 140: "What are you doing here?"

Chapter 140: "What are you doing here?"

Back at Nyx’s house, Oberon sat at the front of the house. He held his chin in thought, his eyes lost in the vast land ahead of him.

He sighed, and looked up at the sky, "She left."

He closed his eyes, "damn it. I can not even go after her, if I do, Aegis will come for me. I am not prepared yet," he clenched his jaw.

He opened his eyes again, "hmm, it would be an error if I just sat back," he squinted his eyes.

A corner of his lips turned up in a smile, "It does not matter if I am prepared or not," he shrugged.

"I will go there, though I will have to be careful. I am not yet prepared for battle, so yes, I could go there," he wiped his face.

He stood up, "Well, I should be on my way," he smirked.

"Ha."

His face beamed, "I know she is still not settled with me, but she would not mind if I helped her out,"he smiled wide.

Nyx was sitting in her room, immersed in a book, she wanted to while away her free time by reading a book.

She was so immersed she did not notice Aegis who had just entered the room, and sat on her bed.

"Reading a book huh? You should be thinking of more ways to get Oberon," she heard Aegis’s sneering voice.

She quickly raised her head, "Huh? She was startled when she saw him on her bed.

"Wh- what are you doing here?" She asked, her voice firm.

"Do I need your permission before I get in here?"

Her eyes widened, and she quickly got down from the bed, "excuse you? This is my room! I could have been changing or something."

"That does not matter," he shrugged, not a single emotion in his voice.

"I do not think I want your presence.. please leave," she tried to be as polite as possible.

He arched his brow, "Is that a command?"

She closed her eyes, and exhaled.

"I do not mean it as a command. I just feel it inappropriate for you to be in my room, without my permission."

He laughed sarcastically, "stop being dramatic."

She clenched her fists, "what do you mean? It is not as if you came here to tell me something."

He stood up, crossing the space between them. She took a few steps backwards, "do not come near me," she warned.

He ignored her, and gripped her wrists, "There is nothing to be so dramatic about. You were being lazy, that is why I came here."

She wriggled her hand out of his grip, "So.. what do you want?"

"You know what I want," his eyes grew darker.

"I do not. What is it?"

"Bring me Oberon, and make sure he is completely unarmed."

She creased her brows, "That is not what I said I came here to do," her teeth clattered, she was growing annoyed.

"What did you come here for then?"

"I only said I was going to advise you on how to get him. Not me getting him," she shook her head, at how unbelievably annoying he was getting.

"Oh?"

"Yes your majesty," she rolled her eyes sarcastically.

He stood there for a while, "hmm, why can you not help me get him? After all, he would fall for you since you were so close to him."

"When he knows I am on your side?" She lied.

He gritted his teeth, "Oh damn it!" He tightened his lips, and turned around.

She sighed, "Can I be left alone now?"

He glanced at her with a scowl on his face, "Why..."

A knock on the door interrupted him. He stopped.

A guard stood at the doorpost, his head bowed.

"Your majesty, the elders are gathered."

He groaned, "Oh, tell them I will be there with them soon."

The guard nodded, and left.

"I do not want you lazing around, enjoying my dishes for free while you do nothing. You are privileged to be under my roof because I think you would be of great help in capturing Oberon."

She was annoyed, but decided not to show it. If she really wanted to accomplish what she came here to do, then she had to swallow all these in.

"Yes your majesty," she slightly bowed.

He put his hands at his back, and left the room.

She furrowed her brows, tapping her right foot, "I can not wait to start dealing with you!" She scowled, and sat on the bed, grimacing.

She was still trying to recover from what Aegis had just told her when she heard a knock on the window.

She clutched the sheets, "What the.."

The windows opened, and Oberon jumped in.

She arched her brows, her mouth wide open in shock.

"Wh- what the hell is going on today? What are you doing here?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "I came here for you," he smiled broadly at her.

She creased her brows, "Huh? I did not ask you to come here. What if Aegis sees you?"

His lips turned downwards, "He will not. He is with the elders."

She raised her brows, "You know that?"

He shook his head, "That is not important right now, just forget about all those," he walked to her bed, and sat down.

"How are you?" He wrapped a hand around her shoulder, "I hope he is not being so hard on you? I promise to assemble myself for you as soon as possible."

Her expression softened, "mmh mmh?"

He scratched his neck, "Well, that is just it," he blinked his eyes.

She looked away, "Well, if that is what you want. I actually came here for something else," she drifted a little from him.

He curled his lips when she did that, "Oh? What is that?"

She eyed him, "Ugh, stop asking me questions! Why are you asking me these?"

"Sorry," he said quietly.

She exhaled deeply, "Why are you here when you know you are not prepared to face Aegis?"

"I came here because of you," he exhaled softly, "I.. thought it would be wrong if I left you all alone, I still came here to let you I care about you," his voice was soft.

She clenched her fists, ’Why is he saying all these?’

He grinned widely, "Well, even if he comes, we will face him together."

"Wait.. if you are here, who is with.. why did you leave them alone back home?"

"They can take care of themselves. It is not as if they are being attacked by anyone."

She squinted her eyes, "You are impossible," she hit his shoulder, "you should go back to them, I am fine on my own," she gritted her teeth.

"I know you are fine. I just came here to be with you, and show you I care about you."

"Oh, I see," she pouted her lips.

"So.. can I stay?

"No."

"Ugh, come on. Please, I just want to be with you.. for a while, probably all night."

She rolled her eyes, "Is that a while? All night?"

He nodded, "That is quite short though, but okay."

She held her head, trying so hard not to scream at him, "oh please, go away. I have things to do," she tried to get up.

He gripped her hand, and pulled her towards him. She landed on his laps.

"I want to stay with you. I am not going anywhere," he said deeply, his voice vibrating in her chest.

She gulped, "You know there will be trouble once Aegis sees you," she tried to protest.

"I will be fine. There is nothing he will be able to do. I am with you by the way, there is nothing he will be able to do," he wrapped his hands around her.

She went stiff. He nuzzled her neck, taking in her scent. She wore the sweet fragrance of roses.

His hand slid to her breasts, and he gently stroked them.

As if something had tapped her, she snapped, "What are you doing?" She tried to get away, but he still held onto her.

"Stop trying to get away from me. The more you try, the more I want you more, the more closer we get," he whispered, kissing her neck.

She tried her best to stiffle a moan, "Listen, I am not in the mood for any kind of drama."

"Drama? This is not dramatic," his hands were on her breasts again, massaging them.

She gulped, "Stop.." her voice was now a breathless whisper.

"I am not ready to," he kissed her neck again.

This time she let out a soft moan, "You.. ah."

"Did you come here for this?" She tried to get away from him

"Seeing you makes me hunger for it. I want you," this time, he was peppering kisses on her neck, shoulder blades down to her neck.

She grabbed his hair in her pleasure, "Someone might hear me.."

"Oh, we will be quiet," he pushed her back gently so she was lying on the bed.

"Oh goodness," she gasped when she felt his lips on her breasts.

"It has been a while," he smiled, as he gently tugged at her dress.
