Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might -
Chapter 343 - 338: Mutation
Chapter 343: Chapter 338: Mutation
Money is external, but cultivation is not; Leon must choose a good object to transfer power to, or else he would rather give up.
"What can I do for you, master?" Pella slightly lowered her head, her long hair falling down.
Leon noticed Pella’s slender fingers, marked with several small cuts, presumably from daily training. He asked, "How many years have you been here?"
"Five years," Pella answered, not uttering a single extra word.
Leon left the desert during his youth and settled on Volcanic Island, now it’s been over twenty years. The first batch of Tiefling maids trained to work for Leon mostly were dispatched elsewhere. Pella has only been here for five years, clearly part of the second or third batch of recruited Tiefling maids.
"You are a Deceit Master, aren’t you..." Leon thought to himself that Pella must be a Mephisto Tiefling, these Tieflings possessed a unique arcane magic talent, hence choosing to be Deceit Masters among the numerous sub-positions of Wanderers to fully utilize their gifts, "Attack me now. Immediately."
Leon stared at Pella, observing her actions; her lips moved slightly but did not speak, nor did she look at Cecilia. Her hands brushed over the skirt, gripping two daggers, and in the blink of an eye, vanished into thin air, reappearing behind Leon, thrusting towards his neck.
Leon remained motionless, allowing Pella to attack, her assault couldn’t harm him for a simple reason. His human form was achieved via a Transformation Skill; he couldn’t be considered a human but rather a Dragon transformed into a human form, truly a Transformed Demon, with skin toughness on par with Dragon Scales.
"Stop now... You actually know Mysterious Steps, quite impressive." Leon recalled that in the game, Deceit Masters could only choose Confusion Control and Illusion Magic Spells, but reality isn’t a game; in reality, anything is possible.
"Take off your clothes, take everything off." Cecilia stood beside Leon.
Pella, likewise, didn’t hesitate at all, swiftly undressing.
Leon wasn’t a gentleman by any means, nor a character from Japanese anime; his gaze did not even blink, appreciating Pella’s decent figure. He turned and asked, "Why did you make her undress?"
"Just to show you. Her execution ability... She undressed without a hint of hesitation, standing before us stark naked, not shy at all, isn’t it super impressive." Cecilia smirked playfully; as a Green Dragon, she looked down on other life forms, never treating Tiefling maids as equals.
"Not too bad." Leon said.
"Serve your master." Cecilia continued.
"No need to go that far." Leon could see from Pella’s lightly bitten lips that she still cares a lot about her body, and because of his soul being human, he’s willing to regard Tiefling maids as humans, "Alright, it’s all good now, you can put on your clothes."
Leon felt that he shouldn’t be too gentle; he once used the Object Capture Skill to help Pella pick up Katya.
So far, Leon was quite satisfied with Cecilia’s recommendation of Pella but wasn’t about to wrap things up, saying, "You’ve performed quite well. I have a task for you now, a mission with a nine-in-ten chance of death... You can choose to refuse. It’s not necessarily you; I can find someone else without issue."
As soon as Leon finished speaking, Pella immediately said, "No matter what the task is, I’m willing to accept."
"May I ask why you agreed so readily?" Leon asked, "You’ve worked on Volcanic Island for many years, you should know that I’m not one who sticks to my guns, nor do I disallow rejection."
"Because you feed me and clothe me, never mistreat me, treating me as human," Pella replied, "I am willing to serve you with my life."
Regarding Pella’s answer, Cecilia thought it was because of her good teaching; humanoid beings are really easy to control, just with some random tactics. Leon considered himself never to mistreat those around him, having someone swear loyalty being a natural thing.
"For life?" Leon asked.
Pella looked up at Leon and said, "For life."
Leon nodded in satisfaction, saying, "You will receive a contract and then a gift."
Creating a binding contract costs money, depending on the contract’s object, content, etc. Making a contract capable of binding a powerful Kraken is difficult even for Leon, but Pella is currently just an ordinary Tiefling maid, so binding her through a contract is relatively easy.
Leon had Cecilia call Tassera over, drafted a contract, placed it in front of Pella, and carefully put it away after she signed it... If the contract is stolen and destroyed, it would become invalid.
With everything ready, Leon gestured to Pella, saying, "Come here. Kneel."
Pella kneeled before Leon, bowing her head deeply.
Leon stood up from his chair, placed his hand atop Pella’s head, and said, "Now I grant you a boon, great power."
Though spoken like that, Leon was unwilling to give even a year of cultivation, but for Pella, it was ample, similar to a billionaire’s small change being quite a bit to an average household. He inadvertently thought of some movie, where Yuanshi Tianzun was disgracefully drained of Mana by Yin Jiao, quite absurd.
The power transfer didn’t take much time; Leon quickly withdrew his hand, took a breath, hoping today’s decision was worth it, and asked, "How do you feel?"
"Such formidable power." The great power filled her entire body, and even though Pella doesn’t typically like talking, she couldn’t help saying more, "Thank you, master, for bestowing your power."
"You can try to move, jump a bit, run some." Leon advised.
Pella tried moving, her hand swing speed much quicker than before, clenched her fists punching the air, her strength multiplied. She now believes she could take down a bull, leaping up to touch the ceiling, her jumping ability vastly enhanced.
Pella didn’t behave rashly, soon stopping, and sincerely said, "I will put to good use the power bestowed by my master to serve my master."
"Besides attribute enhancements, is there anything else?" This was Tassera asking.
"I need a sword." Pella said.
Leon slightly furrowed his brow, gesturing to open the Sleeve of the Universe’s small space, tossing a sword to Pella’s feet.
Pella picked up the sword, holding the hilt in silence for a long while, then threw it into the air. The sword hovered, emitting a "buzzing—" sound for merely seconds before falling to the ground.
Tassera and Cecilia might not have understood, but Leon saw clearly; it was Sword Control Technique.
It shouldn’t be possible.
