Chapter 135: Chapter 135: Just a Play for Fun

Vajra Body?

When Leon saw this Golden Finger reward, the first thing he thought of was the monkey Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong is a typical high-defense, low-offense player... His attack isn’t necessarily weak, it just seems a bit low compared to his defense. He relies entirely on his Vajra Body, daring to stretch out his neck for the opponent to strike no matter how strong they were. Other than a few rare magical treasures and Divine Skills, he could ignore most damage.

Leon could hardly imagine how strong he would be if he had Sun Wukong’s Vajra Body. He couldn’t say he’d face Divine beings without any fear, as Divine beings have many methods, but at the very least, he might be unrivaled on the Material Plane.

Unfortunately, the ideal is full-bodied, but reality is skeletal. His Sleeve of the Universe isn’t as strong as Zhen Yuanzi’s, and his Vajra Body isn’t as robust as Sun Wukong’s.

Indeed, his Vajra Body isn’t as strong as Sun Wukong’s, but mainly because Sun Wukong’s Vajra Body is simply too overpowering, ridiculously exceeding the standards, and not because his own is weak – after all, it is a high-level reward.

Leon could clearly feel that as he acquired the Vajra Body, the scales on his body became even tougher. Previously, Hunting Demon’s arrows could penetrate his scales, but now, probably not. He would at least be immune to non-refined gold weapons and non-Magic Attack blunt strikes, punctures, and swings.

Merely this is not enough for Vajra Body to be considered a high-level reward because immunity to non-refined gold weapons and non-Magic Attack blunt strikes, punctures, and swings is standard for many mighty constructed creatures. It’s useful but not that useful since it’s easy for powerful beings to perform a Magic Attack.

The strength of the Vajra Body lies in its ability to be actively triggered to achieve almost immunity to all attacks.

Of course, it definitely has drawbacks as well. Activating the Vajra Body consumes Mana, and maintaining it also consumes Mana, which isn’t a small amount. Those clever enemies can entirely choose to avoid battle, waiting for the effects of Vajra Body to wear off before attacking.

Ah, Mana, it’s always about Mana.

Leon realized that his biggest problem currently is the lack of Mana. He has powerful Spells in abundance, but he dares not use them – sticking to melee combat and Sword Control Technique, indulging a bit in Hand Palm Bomb. Using Samadhi True Fire only as a last resort, he might deplete his Mana in moments, not to mention randomly activating his newly acquired Vajra Body.

In the games, paladins with ample Magic Positions are fiercely powerful, swinging their Supreme Slash in a chaotic flurry, unstoppable. But once out of Magic Positions, they become vulnerable.

Leon felt he was similar to those paladins – extremely powerful with Mana, but once it’s gone, he’d be nothing more than an ordinary young Red Dragon in strength. Not weak, but not truly powerful either. Bursting potential is sufficient, but stamina is a big issue, making prolonged battles difficult.

However, how to increase his Mana, Leon had no clue, only knowing to breathe in the nature’s spiritual energy at every moment and not forgetting to absorb the Sun and Moon Essence at the beginning and middle of each month, accumulating over time.

A shrill cry awakened Leon.

Following the direction of the cry, Leon frowned and said, "Where did these Griffins come from?"

"And there’s a Peryton," Leon paused, "and a Flying Dragon."

"They flew out from that castle," Cecilia said. "I saw you were zoning out just now and didn’t dare to disturb you... Are you alright?"

"I’m fine. It’s all good." Naturally, Leon wouldn’t mention that he had just received another Golden Finger reward, although he could explain it as having awakened a new Spell, which commonly happens to dragons, "Those Griffins, Perytons, and Flying Dragons must be pets raised by the Cloud Giant."

Leon had heard that Cloud Giants like to cultivate miraculous gardens in their territories and also tame various excellent beasts as hunting companions.

"Let’s go."

Although he had just received a Golden Finger reward, Leon preferred not to intentionally seek danger by heading towards known threats. Thwarting Tiamat’s scheme, proving he was stronger than Tiamat imagined, held no value and would not embarrass Tiamat but would excite her more.

"Okay." Cecilia had already decided, closely following Leon’s pace without any objections.

"Let’s go directly to the coast; I don’t want to stay on the Lost Plateau anymore." Leon shifted back to his Dragon Form, becoming a Red Dragon. Just as he was about to take off, he noticed the sky grow dark, the once clear blue skies suddenly filled with rolling dark clouds, "Why did the weather change so suddenly?"

Cecilia looked seriously and said heavily, "Someone is manipulating the weather."

"Cloud Giant. Cloud Giants can control the weather." Leon said, "It must be the castle’s owner, a Cloud Giant, and he is coming out."

Leon’s words had just ended, when from the sky descended a muscular Cloud Giant with crossed arms.

The Cloud Giant had silver hair, light-colored skin, and wore an exquisite mask adorned with gemstones, dressed in luxurious silk satin, extravagantly attired to the nines. As for the original creatures from the castle such as Griffins, Perytons, and Flying Dragons, they constantly circled around him, and a particularly handsome Peryton perched on his shoulder.

Leon felt indifferent, while Cecilia was somewhat startled by the Cloud Giant’s grand entrance, crouching low and continually growling.

The Cloud Giant looked at Leon and introduced himself, "My name is Mankus."

Cecilia, not to be outdone, announced her name, and Leon did not refuse to introduce himself either.

"Such distinguished guests have come from afar, why do you stand at the entrance of my home unmoving?" Mankus posed dramatically, "It seems I have not hosted properly, now I have come out to welcome you both."

"You’re not qualified to welcome us." Cecilia scoffed.

Only she would dare not be so arrogant, isn’t that a Red Dragon beside her? Truly a case of a fox exploiting a tiger’s might.

"Of course, and my wife and servants," Mankus said.

Cecilia looked towards the castle and saw a female Cloud Giant come out with a Fire Giant and two Frost Giants, descending from the mountain path to Leon’s side, and said, "There are more people behind us; we must leave soon."

"I know... wait, if a battle breaks out, seize the chance to flee." Leon stared at the Cloud Giant, not turning his head, "Do not hold me back here."

"Alright, I will," Cecilia firmly said, not wanting to be like some foolish female protagonist in novels who, despite better chances to leave early and avoid trouble, ends up unavoidably becoming a burden due to dawdling.

The Giant Clan is as ancient as the Dragon Clan. When the Giants first began shaking the foundations of the world, the Dragon Clan was also very young, and conflict was inevitable when they met. Even today, giants and dragons still harbor mutual resentment, and every encounter invariably erupts into intense strife.

An enemy is an enemy, but there are instances where giants and dragons coexist harmoniously. It’s not unheard of for giant dragons and dragons to be friends. Leon could not be sure if the Cloud Giant before him obeyed Tiamat’s commands or had another hidden agenda. He said, "We just saw a castle and were curious to take a look; we mean no harm. We’re leaving now."

"Two dragons in a giant’s territory and you claim no ill intentions." Mankus laughed, "Are all dragons as shameless as you?"

The Cloud Giant really looked mighty, resembling a top boss, but he was confronting Leon who had just received the Golden Finger reward: "We haven’t done anything, we’ve already backed off, and you still press us relentlessly. Do you really want us to thrash you to be satisfied?"

"Come when you like, leave when you want, do you really think this place is a public restroom?" Mankus pulled out a Nail Head Hammer from his chest, held it high, and as the thunderclouds in the sky grew darker, a bolt of lightning struck down, wrapping the hammer in lightning, then he fiercely smashed it towards Leon.

Mankus watched the flying hammer. The Green Dragon, uncertain if the hammer was aimed at her, awkwardly flapped her wings to dodge, while the Red Dragon, the hammer’s target, stood motionless on the spot, and when the hammer hit their head, they couldn’t help but reveal a disdainful smirk.

Seeing the hammer didn’t leave a dent in the Red Dragon’s head but instead emitted a metallic clashing sound, bouncing off and colliding with a nearby mountain, the Red Dragon stood unbothered in the air as Mankus’s mouth twitched continuously.

The Vajra Body was indeed remarkable; such a hammer strike to the head and not even a hint of pain, Leon couldn’t help but experience it again, looking up at the Cloud Giant, he said, "Continue."

The air was "silent" for quite a while.

"Continue? Continue what?" Mankus’s expression kept changing, making sure he wasn’t seeing things as the Red Dragon seemed unbothered by the hammer strike, "I was just saying hello, just a joke."

"Ensha, bring up the person quickly." Mankus shouted loudly, "The wretch who stirred conflict between me and my brothers."

Even after the female Cloud Giant tossed a man in a long robe and hooded cloak at his feet, Leon was still somewhat confused, though he knew that the Cloud Giants’ guarding deity and godfather was known as the Deceiver, and the Cloud Giants were particularly skilled in adaptability, deceit, and persuasion.

"It’s this wretch who deserves to die. He actually said the brothers were coming to take our castle with some plot," Mankus said, "Clearly, the brothers were just passing by as they just said... I apologize for the offense, and later you must come to our castle for a few drinks, I owe you an apology."

The Cloud Giant was really adept at reading the situation, and Leon was at a loss for how to handle them, only able to look at the man thrown at his feet, asking, "Do you have anything to say?"

"I know nothing," the man said in panic.

"I also think you know nothing, so die," Leon said, and with a breath, he spewed Samadhi True Fire, burning the man to ashes, not even leaving any remnants.
