Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might -
Chapter 119 Who Is She?
Chapter 119: Chapter 119 Who Is She?
Leon’s flight speed was quite fast. Under full effort, it only took him a few hours to get from the Primitive Forest to the desert, but he had to take care of Cecilia. She was a lean Green Dragon whose flying speed was far behind his, so it took him most of the day to get back.
After half a year away, Leon found that the Molten Lava Lake was still the same as before, and the Dome Castle also looked exactly the same, without any change.
"There’s also a Molten Lava Lake in the desert?" Cecilia followed Leon and landed on the balcony of the Dome Castle.
Unlike Leon who liked to run around everywhere, and not like the Storage Dragon that enjoyed traveling, as a Green Dragon, she had always stayed in a forest environment since she hatched, making a turn in the Sky-reaching Swamp Forest and taking a look at the Polar Coniferous Forest, with not much experience.
"Did the master choose to nest in the desert just because of this Molten Lava Lake?" Cecilia curiously looked around.
"No, it’s not because of the Molten Lava Lake that I came here. Staying is just by chance... Initially, I was just bored and wandered around, too far from the sea, so I could only go to the desert," Leon recounted, "In fact, I spent much more time in the forest than in the desert. I was in the forest for over a decade, and only around two years in the desert."
"Why not continue to stay in the forest, isn’t it much better than here?" As a Green Dragon, Cecilia naturally hoped that Leon would stay in the forest. "The food in the forest is much richer than here, and the scenery is also better than here, unlike here where there’s nothing but sand."
"Is there a Molten Lava Lake in the forest?" Leon asked, "I like taking baths in the Molten Lava Lake."
The Green Dragon was at a loss for words.
"Wait, master, what did you just say? Over a decade in the forest, two years in the desert?"
Cecilia suddenly noticed a detail in one of Leon’s sentences, saying, "I can tell the master is still a teenage dragon, but it’s really not evident that the master is not even twenty years old... So powerful at less than twenty, I can’t imagine how strong you will be when grown up. A legendary Red Dragon?"
The Green Dragon, not to mention anything else, was sure to provide emotional value, and Leon laughed, "What’s so great about legendary Red Dragons? I’ll tell you, I don’t see much in Legendary Red Dragons; my goal is the stars and the sea... Speaking of which, you haven’t seen me going all out, so it’s normal to think that way."
While saying that, Leon didn’t actually have much of a goal, and the stars and the sea were just a minor matter to him. Currently, he just wanted to obtain all the rewards from the Golden Finger, and he didn’t know how strong he would be at that time, whether he would be comparable to gods, but he thought it shouldn’t be a big problem.
"How about it?" Leon suddenly felt enthusiastic and rubbed his hands together, "Do you want to see what I look like when I’m going all out?"
"I’d be most grateful," Cecilia’s eyes lit up.
"Then get ready," Leon said, "but be careful not to die, alright?"
"What do you mean not to die? Master, what are you planning to do? Don’t say such dangerous things," Cecilia sharply sensed Leon’s intent; he wanted to use her as a target, as a training dummy, "I can’t handle it."
"You can handle it, believe in yourself," Leon said. He slowly pulled out the Catastrophe Blade from his Sleeve of the Universe and raised it high, ready to strike.
"No, no, no..." Cecilia suddenly complied and lay down on the ground, raising her eyes to look at Leon, non-violently expressing her non-cooperation, "Alright then, if brother wants to kill sister, just do it. If it’s brother, sister can accept anything."
"It’s no fun if you don’t resist," Leon was just scaring Green Dragon from start to finish. He didn’t really take a lean teenage Green Dragon seriously, and he retracted his weapon while saying so.
The Efreeti was training the young Magma Land Sharks in the Molten Lava Lake, happily whipping, and when he saw the Red Dragon and Green Dragon fly into the Dome Castle, he immediately abandoned the young Magma Land Sharks.
"Lord, you’re finally back," the Efreeti could tell that Leon was in great condition.
Leon nodded and asked, "Everything was alright while I was gone?"
"Very well," Efreeti said, "Don’t worry, my lord."
"I asked you to train the young Magma Land Sharks, how is it going?" inquired Leon.
Efreeti replied, "Now they know not to attack the Salamanders. When they are well-fed, at least."
"Take it slow, there’s no need to rush," Leon said, knowing that the young Magma Land Sharks were quite dumb.
Leon remembered when he first brought the young Magma Land Sharks to the Molten Lava Lake, whenever they saw him, they were scared. After he returned from the Black Desert upon getting the Catastrophe Blade forged by the Evil Flame Fire Giant, it seemed like they completely forgot about him and even dared to bare their teeth and snarl at him, demanding another lesson.
Leon looked out from the balcony and saw the young Magma Land Sharks swimming in the Molten Lava Lake, wagging their tails, saying, "I noticed that it has grown quite a lot."
"It’s growing very fast," the Efreeti said. "It shouldn’t take ten years to grow up."
Leon nodded in relief, thinking that not everyone grows as slowly as dragons, who only enter adolescence at twenty-five, become teenage dragons at fifty, and reach adulthood at one hundred.
Look at the Blue Whale, a newborn calf already weighs over two tons and is nearly seven meters long, reaching fifteen meters in just a short eight months, and surpassing twenty meters in length before even turning three.
Leon noticed that the Efreeti’s gaze kept falling on the Green Dragon and introduced, "This is my new maid, a Green Dragon, Cecilia. She will be your colleague from now on."
After introducing the Green Dragon, Leon turned to introduce the Efreeti to her.
"Hello," Cecilia greeted politely.
By contrast, the Efreeti folded his arms and nodded, ending the exchange quite casually. The reason was simple: arrogance, because he looked down on the Green Dragon.
He was a mighty Efreeti; not to mention a lean teenage Green Dragon, even an adult Green Dragon was nothing to him. Only a mature Green Dragon would slightly deserve his respect, unless it was a certain Red Dragon with unreasonable power.
Cecilia remained impassive on the surface but resolved in her heart that she would return today’s humiliation tenfold, or perhaps even a hundredfold, once she reached adulthood.
Cecilia glanced at Leon, thinking that as long as she could deal with this Red Dragon, she might not need to wait that long to teach the Efreeti a lesson; she could do it anytime.
Leon was still unaware that his two subordinates had just met and were already at odds; anyway, as long as it didn’t hinder their work, he didn’t care.
Leon asked the Efreeti whether anything special had happened in the desert during his absence. After getting a negative reply, he quickly dismissed the Efreeti.
With a new employee on board, as a leader, he had to brief the new employee about the company. Besides the Efreeti, who needed a special introduction as a key personality, those Salamanders were not worth mentioning. Leon mentioned the condition of his territory to the Green Dragon, then suddenly remembered an important matter and asked, "Is it hot?"
"It’s manageable," Cecilia replied.
"Are you sure?" Leon said with a chuckle. He knew that even the Blue Dragons, accustomed to the desert heat, disliked this place and wouldn’t come without business, not to mention the Brass Dragons, who were unaffected, let alone the Green Dragons who favored moist forest environments, "I was thinking of moving somewhere else to talk slowly."
"It’s a bit hot, but just a bit, I don’t know why," Cecilia said sincerely. Logically, as a Green Dragon without fire resistance, she should feel very hot surrounded by boiling Molten Lava.
Leon looked at the Green Dragon, who didn’t seem as wilted as he had expected, such as having a limp thorny crown stretched to the back. After pondering, he said seriously, "A normal Green Dragon would have withered after staying here so long. You’ve been here for quite a while and seem unbothered. Maybe you have something extraordinary about you."
"Something extraordinary?" Cecilia asked, surprised.
"I don’t know, I’m just speculating," Leon said. "You should be aware of the knowledge you’ve inherited from your parents, right?"
"I don’t know anything," Cecilia deflated in an instant.
"Anyway, it’s good that you don’t feel hot," Leon said. "Let’s continue talking..."
While Leon was speaking at length, planning to lay out the situation of his territory, a Blue Dragon appeared in the sky.
"Is that a Blue Dragon?" Cecilia followed Leon’s gaze, "I heard my master say that he once defeated a Blue Dragon. Is it coming for revenge now?"
"No, no, this Blue Dragon is not that Blue Dragon," Leon revealed a slight smile. "Wait and you’ll find out who she is. I’ll introduce you when she arrives."
The Blue Dragon circled the sky over the Molten Lava Lake and soon landed at Dome Castle, only glancing at Leon before shifting her gaze, focusing intently on the Green Dragon. It had been half a year and she didn’t even greet him.
"Who is she?" after staring at the Green Dragon for a solid few seconds, the Blue Dragon turned to look at Leon.
Naturally, Cecilia recognized that the Blue Dragon was a female. Her pupils constricted slightly, thinking that this Mother Dragon was very likely preparing to compete with her for a man, and said, "I am the master’s maid, the sister of a brother."
Leon vaguely felt that the atmosphere was a bit off, but couldn’t pinpoint any problems.
It wasn’t strange that he was oblivious. Before crossing over, he was just an ordinary man, not like those protagonists in Japanese anime with rich and colorful lives. His life had been all about study and work.
