Chapter 184: Chapter 184 Siblings Collaborate in Acting

Sang Ning didn’t dare to lay a hand on the old man, but she was merciless toward Sang Chuan.

Her principle when catching him was simple: beat him to death!

The lingering bond of sibling affection allowed Sang Ning to retain a shred of restraint, leaving Sang Chuan with a decent-looking face.

The anger was vented, Sang Chuan was beaten, but going out through the front door was absolutely not an option.

The old man couldn’t tolerate even the "grain of sand" that was Sang Chuan in his eyes anymore; they said it was better to stay far from him.

Ultimately, with Sang Chuan leading the way, the siblings dodged the cameras and climbed over the rear playground wall to sneak into the school.

Fearful of being caught by the security guards, the two started sprinting as soon as they jumped down from the wall, as if chased by a pack of feral dogs intent on devouring them.

Sang Ning was utterly drained; she’d never been this disheveled in her life.

The security guard was just the first obstacle. After successfully making their way to the teaching area and finding the homeroom teacher’s office, they encountered the second blockade.

As soon as Sang Ning explained her purpose, the homeroom teacher coldly waved them away: "Sang Chuan has already completed the withdrawal process. I can’t help you with this. You two should leave!"

Sang Ning remained patient, pleading with the teacher nicely several times, but all she got was heartless rejection.

Gao Mingsong had finally rid himself of the walking disaster that was Sang Chuan, and he was resolute in his decision not to allow Sang Chuan back to school.

Not wanting to get entangled with the siblings, Gao Mingsong stood up, grabbed his water cup, and headed to the water dispenser, deliberately ignoring Sang Ning and Sang Chuan’s presence.

Gao Mingsong was a balding old man who liked to ostentatiously push up his glasses while rolling his eyes downward to look at people, which made him extremely irritating.

Sang Chuan, who had solemnly sworn to become a good student, exploded after just a few glances from Gao Mingsong. Seeing the teacher’s back made him impulsively want to kick him.

Thought led to action—Sang Chuan actually leaped off the ground and aimed a flying kick at Gao Mingsong’s back.

Out of the corner of her eye, Sang Ning saw Sang Chuan raising his foot, and she immediately followed up with her own kick—faster than her brother—hitting him in the bend of his knee before he could reach Gao Mingsong.

Sang Chuan lost his balance from the kick, sprawling forward onto the ground.

Gao Mingsong turned around after refilling his water, only to see Sang Chuan kneeling forcefully on the ground, seemingly bowing to him in a grand gesture. His hand trembled, nearly dropping the cup.

The nightmares of being tormented by Sang Chuan surfaced instantly in Gao Mingsong’s mind. He shuddered and backed away, retreating several steps: "What are you trying to do now?"

Before Gao Mingsong could react, Sang Ning grabbed a stack of test papers from the desk and began fiercely hitting Sang Chuan with them: "This is for mocking people, for disrespecting your teachers, and for refusing to change your ways!"

With every strike, Sang Ning gritted her teeth tightly, her actions large and imposing, as though she really intended to beat Sang Chuan to death.

Yet Sang Chuan didn’t dare fight back and could only hunch down, shielding his head and twisting his neck to dodge the blows.

The noise drew other teachers into the office. They were startled to see Sang Ning unilaterally thrashing Sang Chuan and rushed forward to restrain her.

But Sang Ning abruptly threw up her hand to stop them: "Teachers, I ask you kindly not to interfere. Today, I’m going to beat this disgraceful brother to death! He’s pissed off Mr. Gao, and now he can’t even go to school anymore. Tell me, what future does he have? Might as well take care of it now!"

Sang Ning’s words rang with righteous indignation, while her strikes grew even harder. Sang Chuan’s cries grew more pitiful with each blow.

Yet, only the siblings truly knew that Sang Ning’s attacks were nothing more than theater. All noise, little impact—not one strike actually hit any vital area.

While pounding on Sang Chuan, Sang Ning fixated her gaze on Gao Mingsong: "Mr. Gao, I know Sang Chuan must’ve caused you a lot of trouble in the past. This isn’t the first day you’ve disliked him, right? Well, I’ll give you a chance to vent now. You tell me when your anger’s satisfied, and I’ll stop!"

Sang Chuan’s face contorted dramatically, looking like he was suffocating from the beating.

Terrified, Gao Mingsong backed up several more steps until he hit the office desk behind him. There, trembling, he raised his hand, filled with panic: "Stop, stop, stop! It’s just reinstatement, fine—I’ll agree to it, okay? Just stop hitting him!"

Though Gao Mingsong hated Sang Chuan, it wasn’t to the extent of wanting him dead.

Sang Ning’s eyes lit up as she gave Sang Chuan another quick kick: "Mr. Gao agreed to your reinstatement—hurry up and thank him!"

"Got it, I’m on it!" Sang Chuan’s tone lifted immediately, full of joy.

He jumped energetically to his feet, ran over to Gao Mingsong, and bowed three times. He was brimming with energy, showing no signs of weakness despite the supposed beating.

"Enough! You’re not in a mourning hall, so stop bowing already!" Gao Mingsong snapped irritably, then repeated his characteristic gesture of pushing his glasses and rolling his eyes downward.

He couldn’t help but feel he’d been played by these siblings.

Sang Chuan obediently hung his head, now appearing humble, which seemed slightly more pleasing in Gao Mingsong’s eyes. Still, the teacher maintained an intentionally difficult demeanor: "Hmph, this isn’t some food market where you can just come and go as you please. Reinstatement isn’t that easy!"

Gao Mingsong’s tone softened noticeably compared to before. Hearing a glimmer of hope, Sang Ning quickly leaned forward, eagerly asking: "Mr. Gao, whatever the conditions are, just say the word. Whether it’s climbing mountains or walking through fire, I’ll make sure Sang Chuan does it!"

Gao Mingsong: "..."

Sang Chuan: "..."

Gao Mingsong took his water cup and walked back to his desk leisurely. Seeing that things were settled, the other teachers returned to their respective spots.

Still, their eyes occasionally darted toward Sang Ning, marveling at how beautiful Sang Chuan’s sister was.

Several gossiping teachers gathered together, whispering in hushed tones.

"Is this girl really Sang Chuan’s sister? I saw his sister before, but she didn’t look like this—kind of plain then and not as tall."

"You probably didn’t know Sang Chuan’s sister is a celebrity now. Entering the entertainment industry, undergoing professional image grooming—of course she’d meet beauty standards."

"Who’s even overseeing Sang Chuan in the Sang Family now? Do you remember when his parents brought him here to withdraw from school? His dad said he didn’t care what he did as long as Sang Chuan stayed happy—even if being useless still meant he’d be happily useless. How come his sister’s suddenly against him being useless now?"

"You guys clearly don’t follow reality shows. Recently, Sang Chuan went on a show with his sister. Watch it and you’ll see how she forces learning on the whole family. Anyone who dares act like a slacker, she threatens to break their legs. Even Sang Chuan’s studying is entirely managed by her hands-on tutoring. Looks like Sang Chuan’s really going to step up this time."

"Come off it—that’s television. Just for show! Sang Ning’s at best a minor celebrity; if she really had the skills to boost Sang Chuan up academically, I’d call her ’Dad’ myself."

After Gao Mingsong walked away, Sang Ning led Sang Chuan to follow him.

Both stood like schoolchildren, meekly in front of the desk, waiting for Gao Mingsong’s decision.

Gao Mingsong drank several big gulps of water before finally deigning to look at Sang Ning and Sang Chuan.

He tapped the desk, speaking seriously: "Reinstatement is possible, but you’ll have to pass an exam first!"
