Chapter 210: Chapter 207: He City, Night (Two in One)

He’s Daddy’s words weighed heavily on Qin Guanglin’s heart, yet he felt a bit of happiness too.

This probably meant... an initial approval for their relationship.

There was nothing He’s Daddy could do about it since the two were already living together. He could only give them a serious talk.

"In my eyes, she’s also the best."

Qin Guanglin turned to look back at the main hall, a softness appearing in his eyes.

He Fang was playing with He Cheng, smiling with squinted eyes, quite proud, completely unaware that the two men were discussing her.

Turning back, He’s Daddy was also looking at the playful pair in the hall. After a moment, he withdrew his gaze and met Qin Guanglin’s. Both saw something similar on each other’s faces.

After a moment of eye contact, a tacit understanding silently formed between them.

Spoil her—or rather pamper her. Regarding this, they shared the same goal.

Both hoped Teacher He would always be well and happy.

"Nothing more to say."

He’s Daddy stood up, sighing deeply, "Let’s get ready for dinner."

"Alright, good."

Dinner was cooked by Zhao Qing. Besides the chickens, ducks, and fresh vegetables that Qin Guanglin and another had bought, there were also spicy rabbit heads brought by He Shan.

Seeing Zhao Qing, with his delicate hands, placing a plate of grinning rabbit skulls on the table, Qin Guanglin turned woodenly to seek help from He Fang, sending out a distress signal.

He feared the enthusiastic He Family might put a couple of rabbit heads on his plate, and he truly couldn’t handle that.

"They actually taste pretty good." He Fang put on gloves and pulled some meat off into his bowl, "Try some."

"..."

Just a strand of meat, that Qin Guanglin could handle, as long as he didn’t need to gnaw straight from the head. Tentatively, he picked it up with his chopsticks and tasted it. The fiery spiciness was actually quite good. Seeing He Fang preparing for another peel, he quickly declined, "You eat it, I’ll just have vegetables."

"Qin, you’re not eating rabbit head?" After a conversation, He’s Daddy wasn’t as silent as he had been at yesterday’s dinner. He noticed their actions and asked.

"I’ve never had it before... it’s a bit hard to accept." Qin Guanglin nodded honestly.

"What a shame, you’d know how delicious it is if you tried it once." He Shan seemed slightly regretful as he broke a skull in half, savoring it with relish.

"..."

"Then just eat some more vegetables."

He’s Daddy opened the Green Flower Lang that Qin Guanglin brought, pouring two glasses and pushing one towards Qin Guanglin, "Join me for a drink."

Qin Guanglin instinctively looked to He Fang. He Fang rolled her eyes, watching the two, then leaned over to take the bottle from He’s Daddy’s hand, "Drink up, but when I say stop, you’ve to stop."

Hearing He Fang’s words, Qin Guanglin felt a relief in his heart. Having a woman manage things always brought an inexplicable peace. He nodded at He Fang with a smile, grasped the drink with both hands, and turned towards He’s Daddy, tipping his glass very low in salute.

The two raised their glasses, neither having much to say, simply silently downed their drinks and began eating.

As if they had reached some sort of agreement in their silence, the atmosphere subtly relaxed quite a bit, mundane yet a bit warm. Qin Guanglin turned to look at He Fang, feeling he was becoming part of her family.

Just like when she first went to his place, although not as quickly. Now it was just initial acceptance, and it wasn’t even his own doing—Qin Guanglin understood in his heart that the father and son, He’s Daddy and He Shan, were mostly because He Fang liked him, so they had no choice but to try accepting him.

Everything was because of He Fang, not because he was particularly outstanding. This was different from when He Fang went to his home; she was liked by Qin’s Mom because of her own merits, whereas he was liked because of He Fang’s affection for him.

But the results were the same, which was enough for him since he was here for He Fang. Now this result was quite satisfying.

After three drinks, adding up to less than two taels, He Fang took away Qin Guanglin’s glass, not allowing him more. Seeing He’s Daddy eagerly looking at the liquor in her hand, she hesitated before reluctantly pouring him another two drinks, then screwed the cap tight not allowing him any more as he had to drink after dinner, now it had to be strictly regulated during the meal.

"You can’t eat much, just half." Zhao Qing saw He Cheng reaching for another rabbit head after finishing half of one in his bowl and stopped him.

Rabbit head was too spicy; too much wasn’t good for kids.

He Cheng pouted, unhappy, eyeing the rabbit head with longing, "Why can you all eat so much?!"

"Because we’re adults."

"Hmph."

Seeing his lips pout as if he could hang an oil bottle from them, Zhao Qing chuckled and shook her head, scooping out some rabbit brain with a small spoon and handing it to him, "Here’s another bite."

"Do you know what kind of meat this is?" He Fang asked He Cheng with a smile, shaking the bone in her hand, "It’s a little bunny, that bouncy bunny that’s so cute. Can you really bear to eat it?"

"Ah?" He Cheng, who had just swallowed a mouthful of rabbit brain and was looking at the rabbit head on the table, was stunned, "This is a little bunny?"

"Yes, do you still want to eat it?" Zhao Qing also laughed, scooping out another spoonful of rabbit brain and waving it by his mouth.

"Eat!"

He Cheng took the spoon into his mouth in one bite, his eyes wide with amazement, "Little bunnies are so cute yet so tasty, Mommy, can we keep some bunnies?"

"..."

"..."

"Not even a child." He Fang glanced at Qin Guanglin and then helped him scoop another piece of meat into his bowl, "It’s tasty, you just can’t enjoy it."

"One’s enjoyment of food isn’t limited by age." Qin Guanglin shrugged, slightly amused by his little nephew.

Was this the He Family’s genetic trait?... He wondered if Teacher He had been this cute as a child.

After finishing the meal, He Fang sat in a chair picking her teeth, observing Qin Guanglin’s slightly restless demeanor, and called out to Zhao Qing, "Sister-in-law, take a break, stop bustling about." Then she turned to Qin Guanglin, flicking her head towards him, "Go, do the dishes."
