Chapter 163: Chapter 161: That Wen is Super Big
On the other side, on the bed.
Sun Wen woke up with a splitting headache and casually glanced around, freezing in place.
Strange surroundings, strange bed.
This lavishly decorated room wasn’t his shabby rental.
Lifting the blanket, his heart skipped a beat.
"Awake?"
Xu Wei, dressed in a neat black business suit, sat on the side applying lipstick, "You were amazing last night."
"..."
Sun Wen frowned and tried hard to remember, finally stopping at the memory of chatting in a bar.
He had no recollection of what happened afterward.
"Is this... your home?"
"Duh, or could it be yours?"
"..." He looked around and didn’t see his clothes, "What did you do to me last night... no, what did we do?"
"What do you think?"
"..."
Xu Wei caught Sun Wen’s somber expression in the mirror, turned her head, and smiled at him playfully, "Just kidding. You were so drunk last night, what could you possibly have done?"
Sun Wen breathed a sigh of relief.
"However..." Xu Wei glanced at her watch, "I still have an hour before my appointment with a client, you could still... if you want."
She winked at Sun Wen, "If you can handle it in an hour."
Sun Wen ignored her comment, wrapping himself in the blanket and getting up, "Where are my clothes?"
"Thrown away."
"..."
"Bringing a stranger home, you’re so bold?" He stood behind Xu Wei, looking at her through the mirror.
Towering at six foot three behind the seated Xu Wei, he resembled a giant.
If he really wanted to do something, Xu Wei wouldn’t stand a chance.
"Am I bold?"
Xu Wei, unperturbed, finished applying her lipstick and pursed her lips in the mirror, quite satisfied with her look before turning to gaze up at Sun Wen, "What could you possibly do?"
"..." Sun Wen just looked at her, saying nothing.
"Seducing?" She reached out to touch Sun Wen, who dodged, and she simply laughed it off, "Or robbing?"
"I can give you either, tell me, which do you want?"
"I want money. How much can you give me?" Sun Wen put on a fierce expression deliberately.
"That depends on your performance," Xu Wei raised her eyebrows, beckoning him with a finger, "Come here, show me first."
"..."
Sun Wen sighed, "No more jokes, where are my clothes? I need to go to work."
Putting on a show? That was no different from being a gigolo.
He had been passive twice, and it was even less likely now.
"Do you realize how much you’re hurting a woman’s confidence?" Xu Wei pulled at the sheer stockings on her leg, smiling at him, "You can rip them if you like, are you sure you won’t come over?"
"I want my clothes," Sun Wen repeated emotionlessly, though his throat moved slightly.
Xu Wei looked at him for a moment, as he sat motionless looking back at her, then shook her head and stood up, "If you don’t want them, wait." She dug around in the wardrobe and pulled out a brand-new set of men’s formal wear and threw it on the bed, "Wear this."
"That’s not my suit."
"This outfit is worth three of yours, you’re getting a good deal and still you complain."
"I don’t want it."
"It’s gone, are you going to wear it or not?" Xu Wei asked, seeing him motionless.
Reluctantly, Sun Wen picked up the clothes and then looked up at her, "You go out first."
"This is my house, why should I leave?"
"..."
Xu Wei sat on a chair nearby and stared at him, the two stiff in the enormous room.
Eventually, Sun Wen admitted defeat, hurriedly dressed, and turned to leave, "Thanks for letting me stay last night, goodbye."
"Wait." Xu Wei approached with a business card held between her fingers, slipped it into Sun Wen’s coat pocket, and then straightened his collar as she spoke nearby, "If you want in-depth consultation, look for me."
"Uh... Thanks."
Sun Wen stepped back, "Goodbye."
He left the door, walked to the elevator, took a couple of deep breaths wanting to smoke a cigarette but couldn’t find any.
It was a bit overwhelming.
The elevator arrived quickly, he stepped in and examined the business card pulled from his pocket, only three lines in gold lettering.
Name.
Phone number.
Company name.
It looked simple yet sophisticated.
After scrutinizing it for a moment, Sun Wen stuffed it back into his pocket, left the unfamiliar upscale neighborhood quickly, and hailed a taxi on the road.
Fortunately, although the place wasn’t close to his company, it wasn’t too far either, about the same distance as from his rental to the office.
"I thought you might not wake up today after all the drinking yesterday."
As soon as he arrived at the company, he saw that Qin Guanglin had already taken his seat, Sun Wen greeted him with a smile.
"Wasn’t it you who stirred up trouble?" Qin Guanglin, in a good mood, turned and was surprised to see Sun Wen dressed formally, "Why are you dressed so formally?"
"Hey, don’t even mention it..." Sun Wen shook his head, then his eyes sharpened suddenly, "Not bad, Lin, drinking that much and still... hehehe." He chuckled mischievously, giving a thumbs up, "Impressive, I respect that."
"What are you talking about?"
Qin Guanglin looked puzzled, "Impressive what?"
"You’re impressive, I can’t compare," Sun Wen shook his head admiringly and went back to his seat.
"..."
"Boss." Jiang Lingling’s voice wasn’t as lively as usual, sounding much weaker, "Morning."
"Morning." Qin Guanglin, uninterested in the bizarre Sun Wen, nodded to Jiang Lingling, noticing her hesitance, he asked, "What’s up?"
"I..."
Jiang Lingling just managed to speak, looked up at him, suddenly stunned, pursed her lips then looked down, "It’s nothing."
"..."
Qin Guanglin scratched his head, feeling something odd but unexplainable, and decided to just bow his head and busy himself with his work, ignoring them.
They all have issues.
Midway through, he got up to go to the restroom, relaxed for a while then washed his hands in the basin, glanced up at the mirror, and froze.
What the hell was that red mark on his neck?
Frowning, he returned to his seat and pulled out his phone to message Teacher He.
"What did you do to me last night?"
"What could I possibly do?" He Fang replied.
"Then explain this mark on my neck."
After a long pause with no response, just as Qin Guanglin was about to put away his phone, He Fang replied again, "It’s from a mosquito bite, there was a huge mosquito yesterday."
"..."
A mosquito my ass!
Now, Qin Guanglin was sure He Fang was up to something, "Tell me honestly, what did you do last night?"
His mind was a mess, what exactly happened last night?
Why was there such a suspicious mark?
He looked at the mark again via his phone, inadvertently pulling his collar, but the red mark was too high up to cover.
"You were as drunk as a dead pig, what could I possibly do?" After sending the message, He Fang added an eye roll, "Stop overthinking, it was just a big mosquito."
"Was that mosquito surnamed He?"
"...No."
Qin Guanglin snorted at his phone, not believing it.
He put away his phone, grabbed his paintbrush prepared to paint, but he couldn’t bring himself to do so, he sighed, put everything down, and leaned back in his chair, frowning in thought.
What exactly happened last night?
