Chapter 923: Chapter 923: A Misunderstanding Arises

"This is the letter of apology my mother wrote by hand."

"Your parents haven’t done anything wrong; there’s no need to apologize to me. That’s it!" An Hao wanted to end the conversation with Cheng Yue and was about to leave, but Cheng Yue grabbed her wrist all of a sudden.

"Please, you must take it. It’s a task my mom gave me." Cheng Yue said as he stuffed the envelope into An Hao’s hand.

An Hao naturally refused to accept it and pushed it back.

The two were tugging and pulling when suddenly, a crisp female voice exploded in their ears.

"Cheng Yue, you jerk!"

This voice sounded somewhat familiar to Cheng Yue, like it belonged to the female soldier who had called him an idiot.

As he turned around, a powerful punch landed squarely on his cheek.

Cheng Yue immediately tasted a sweet and metallic flavor in his mouth, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

"Yan... Yan Huan!" An Hao was stupefied by the sudden punch.

Even though the punch hadn’t hit her face.

"What are you doing?" An Hao asked in astonishment.

"I should be asking you that, what are you doing?" Yan Huan’s face was tinged with a thin layer of rage, "Pretty impressive, aren’t you? The staff officer isn’t around, and you’re hooking up with little boys at school."

"Which eye of yours saw me hooking up with little boys?" An Hao was infuriated. Indeed, she and Yan Huan were not a match in terms of aura.

A single sentence almost led to a dispute.

"What are you tugging and pulling at?" Yan Huan asked, arching her eyebrows.

Luckily, she had come to the school to bring something to Yan Ye tonight and had just witnessed this scene, successfully stopping it.

"He was giving me something; I didn’t want it," An Hao pointed at the envelope on the ground and explained.

"Even passing love letters now!" Yan Huan exclaimed indignantly.

An Hao was about to explode from anger.

She had thought Yan Huan wasn’t too bad just a while ago. Now, she took back her words.

"It’s not a love letter." An Hao thought about explaining, then suddenly realized there was no point.

Should she repeat the story between her and Cheng Yu and then tell Yan Huan that Cheng Yue was here to apologize for that matter?

Rather than going through all that trouble, she might as well not intervene.

"You explain it to her." An Hao glanced at Cheng Yue, who was sitting under the tree wiping his mouth, and then she left.

"An Hao, why are you running?" Yan Huan called out to her.

An Hao looked back at her, said nothing, and quickened her pace to leave.

"Tch! Acting as if I’m some kind of flood beast," Yan Huan muttered to herself.

"You are a flood beast." Cheng Yue finally cleaned up the blood from the corner of his mouth after wiping for a while on the ground.

She glared up bitterly at this woman.

Indeed, every time he encountered her, he was bound for misfortune!

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Yan Huan crouched down and inspected his face from side to side, "At least it’s not too swollen."

"Why are you flipping out? You come up without even a hello and just throw a punch." If it weren’t for the fact that Yan Huan was a woman, he would definitely jump up and return ten punches.

Yan Huan was filled with anger just now!

Seeing Cheng Yue pulling and tugging with An Hao, Yan Huan subconsciously thought that Cheng Yue was hitting on a married woman.

She didn’t know where the anger had come from, but she had lashed out with a punch.

Now, thinking back, she realized she had indeed been too impulsive, but where had that impulse come from?

"I..." Yan Huan swallowed.

Alright, she admitted she had hit the wrong person, but seeing how arrogant this kid looked, once she admitted it, who knew what he might do to her?
