Chapter 800: Chapter 800 Autopsy

"Hey, hey, hey, look at that! What’s going on with Teacher Yan Ye and An Hao? An Hao actually left in Teacher Yan Ye’s car! Are the two of them going on a date or something?" Li Zhi said, as if he had discovered a new continent, smacking Zhang Chaoqian as he spoke.

"What nonsense are you spouting!" Ever since Cheng Yue started pestering An Hao relentlessly, Zhang Chaoqian had been wandering between different dorms to gather information for her best friend.

She was aware of the rumors about An Hao and Yan Ye.

However, she trusted Teacher Yan Ye, and she trusted An Hao. Especially after meeting Qin Jian, Zhang Chaoqian didn’t doubt their relationship one bit.

The care Teacher Yan Ye showed for An Hao was purely the concern of a teacher for a student. An Hao’s interactions with Teacher Yan Ye stemmed entirely from academic exchanges, and he himself had seen An Hao interning in the hospital with Yan Ye.

If one were to say that Yan Ye took special care of An Hao, it probably couldn’t be separated from the relationship between the two families.

"Am I overthinking it?" Li Zhi scratched his head and said, "Hasn’t Cheng Yue recently taken a fancy to Teacher Yan Ye? He kind of wants to set up Cheng Yu with Teacher Yan Ye. Seeing An Hao and Teacher Yan Ye together, am I not worried there might be something between them?"

Zhang Chaoqian shook her head at him and said, "Your thoughts are really filthy! No wonder Gu Shuangshuang looks down on you."

"Get lost!"

.................................

At nine o’clock in the morning, An Hao and Yan Ye arrived at the forensic identification agency as scheduled.

She followed Yan Ye to change clothes and entered the autopsy room where the forensic work was done.

Only then did An Hao realize that one of the two policemen who had come the day before was the forensic physician working here.

"Professor Yan Ye is here! And this is..."

"This is my student and assistant."

With Yan Ye’s explanation, everyone understood what was going on.

"Alright. Then let’s cut the small talk and start," the forensic physician said.

Yan Ye picked up the scalpel and once again opened the body, dissecting the heart, while An Hao observed the situation attentively by his side.

After the autopsy was completed, Yan Ye took off his gloves and said, "It is indeed a heart attack."

"Then what caused it?" the forensic physician asked, puzzled, "How could there be a sudden heart attack if there’s no heart disease?"

"That is indeed perplexing," Yan Ye also felt it was unbelievable.

"Teacher Yan Ye, should we perform a full autopsy on the body instead of just a regional one? And shouldn’t we check if the patient had any conditions like hypertension? Hyperglycemia or something?" An Hao suggested.

"All of that has been done."

"You found no cause?" An Hao wondered, "It couldn’t have been a drug-induced heart attack, could it?"

"No. I haven’t heard of such a case before," Yan Ye denied.

An Hao, wearing gloves, reexamined all the areas they had already checked, and the forensic physician stopped her, "Professor Yan Ye has already done the autopsy; please don’t move the body anymore."

An Hao silently rolled her eyes and repositioned the patient’s scalded arm.

However, she suddenly noticed a not very obvious wound around the area of the scald, which did not look like a burn but more like an electrical burn.

"Teacher Yan Ye, come take a look at this."

Yan Ye and the forensic physician leaned over to examine the wound An Hao had pointed out and nodded, agreeing that she was right.

"Was the patient’s heart electrocuted?" the forensic physician asked and then felt it was improbable, "If it were electrocution, the patient’s arm and heart would probably have been charred, impossible to present this state of the body..."
