Chapter 799 Medical Dispute
Chapter 799: Chapter 799 Medical Dispute
"I’ll tell you a few acupoints: Sanyinjiao Acupoint, Yongquan Acupoint, Taixi Acupoint, Guanyuan Acupoint, Shangyang Acupoint." As An Hao spoke, she demonstrated on Qin Jian’s body, "Relying solely on this won’t do. You tell him he still needs to see a doctor at the hospital, control his desires a bit, and nourish his kidneys. Oh, and eat more oysters."
While saying this, An Hao couldn’t help bursting into laughter.
"What are you laughing about?" Qin Jian, seeing her laughing inexplicably, couldn’t help but ask.
"Being a doctor is actually pretty cool. Thinking about it now gets my blood pumping!" An Hao said excitedly, "I’m really looking forward to the day I become a real doctor! Qin Jian, what are you looking forward to?"
After thinking for a moment, Qin Jian said, "I hope you can be as voracious as Sister Chunhua."
"You’re so bad." An Hao laughed heartily, "By the time I reach that voracious age, you’ll be in your forties or fifties. I’m afraid you won’t be up to the challenge then."
"Impossible! Let me show you right now the might of your husband!" said Qin Jian as he flipped over and pinned An Hao beneath him.
The red blankets tumbled all night, the bed rocked with shadows, their passion profound, bone-meltingly enchanting.
The next day, Qin Jian woke up early.
He had tickets for a train departing early at five in the morning. This train was fast and didn’t require so much time wobbling on the road.
An Hao was awoken by the noise of him getting out of bed, rubbed her bleary eyes, turned over, and tried to get up, only to discover that they had overindulged the previous night. Her whole body ached as if she’d been run over by a train.
"I’m getting ready to go. You don’t need to get up. Sleep a little longer!" Qin Jian bent down and gently kissed her forehead.
"No. I must see you off." If she didn’t watch him leave, An Hao always felt there was something missing in her heart.
"Be good. Sleep a little longer!" He knew he’d been too hard on her last night and couldn’t bear to see her so exhausted and still having her get up to see him off.
Leaving was inevitable, it was just a matter of sooner or later.
An Hao thought about it and agreed. She raised her hand to cradle Qin Jian’s face and deeply kissed him, "Wait for me to come visit."
Qin Jian nodded, took out a small red brocade box from his pocket: "Since I had time yesterday, I went to buy this."
"A necklace? A bracelet?" An Hao guessed casually.
Qin Jian didn’t speak. He opened the red brocade box, revealing a silver ring: "When we got married, you didn’t ask for anything, and I foolishly forgot to buy one, too. This time I saw it and bought it for you. Wear it, and don’t let any other man covet you!"
Even when he wasn’t home, seeing the ring on An Hao’s hand would let others know she was a married woman.
A gold ring would have made him worry about An Hao’s safety. Although a silver ring wasn’t particularly valuable, it was secure enough.
An Hao nodded and stretched out her hand.
Qin Jian slipped the ring onto her finger, kissed the back of her hand, grabbed his luggage, and went downstairs.
The car was already waiting outside, its engine roaring to life. An Hao got up and stood by the window to say goodbye to Qin Jian...
.......................................
Qin Jian had been gone a month, and An Hao had been buried in her studies.
Friday came again, and Yan Ye gave the last anatomy class of the week. With that, both systematic and local anatomy were completely covered.
After class, An Hao still felt a sense of longing and wanted to catch up with Yan Ye to inquire if there would be any future opportunities to pick up a scalpel again.
She watched Yan Ye walk out of the autopsy building and quickly caught up with him.
But she saw two police officers, with serious expressions, speaking to Yan Ye about something.
An Hao, out of curiosity, wanted to get closer to listen, but she was worried it might be something important. As she hesitated whether to approach, she saw Yan Ye, as if he had eyes in the back of his head, beckoning her, "An Hao, come here!"
An Hao trotted over to Yan Ye and heard the two police officers wrapping up their conversation, "Professor Yan, let’s leave it at that! If you have time, we hope you can come over in the next couple of days."
"Okay," Yan Ye agreed.
The two police officers left, leaving only Yan Ye and An Hao behind.
"Teacher Yan, did you call me over for something?" An Hao asked.
"Yes," Yan Ye nodded and said, "Are you afraid of corpses?"
"Corpses? Haha!" An Hao laughed, "Teacher Yan, are you joking? Don’t we often see dead bodies during anatomy class? I’ve gotten used to it. Just tell me what it is."
"There has been a medical dispute at Nancheng City People’s Hospital." Yan Ye thought for a moment that the term "medical dispute" was the most appropriate description.
"Medical dispute? What dispute? Could it be that someone died?"
"Yes, a patient with a burnt arm was admitted for treatment and just after two days of IV therapy, the patient died. The family members of the patient firmly claim that the death was caused by medication. The hospital pulled the medical records and medication logs. The conflict still could not be settled, and the body was moved to a judicial authority for examination. Now, the medical examiner has performed an autopsy on the heart and concluded death due to a heart attack. The patient’s family doesn’t believe it, saying the patient had a good heart and couldn’t have had a heart attack, and they’re demanding an explanation for the heart attack. This has put the forensic scientists in a difficult position, so they asked me to go over," explained Yan Ye.
"You are the best at autopsies. And, you’re also an expert in cardiac surgery. Teacher Yan, I believe you can surely give the patient’s family a satisfactory explanation."
"I hope so," Yan Ye breathed out lightly and asked, "I am planning to take an assistant with me this time, would you like to come along?"
"Can I?" An Hao could hardly believe it.
"Of course. The reason I’m telling you this is that I want to take you with me," said Yan Ye, "Such a scene is not something everyone gets to witness. It will be very beneficial for your studies."
"That’s great. I will cherish this opportunity and observe carefully," An Hao said excitedly.
"Alright. Keep this matter secret. Meet me at the school gate at eight o’clock sharp tomorrow morning."
"Okay."
.......................................
The next morning, An Hao came from her home to the hospital.
During this period, she had been staying at home. After Qin Jian left, she still had to continue drinking herbal medicine for her health, so she was commuting between the school and the military compound every day.
The guards would often drive her, so it wasn’t too hard on her.
When she arrived at the school gate, she happened to run into Li Zhi and Zhang Chaoqian walking out in slippers to go buy breakfast.
Seeing her at the school early on a Saturday morning as if waiting for someone, Li Zhi casually asked, "An Hao, who are you waiting for?"
"Nobody," An Hao replied, looking down at her watch; it was nearly eight o’clock.
Seeing that An Hao didn’t intend to tell them, Li Zhi and Zhang Chaoqian let it be.
Carring their purchases, they were about to turn the corner at the end of the school’s walkway when Li Zhi saw Yan Ye on his bike stopping in front of An Hao.
