Chapter 730: Could It Be Pregnant?

Chapter 730: Chapter 730: Could It Be Pregnant?

Zhang Yun was bewildered for a few seconds before her eyes suddenly shone with an intense light and her face flushed with excitement, "Possible! Highly likely!"

"What do you mean ’highly likely’? I’m sure it is! Haven’t they been married for two years now?" Feng Yuzhi was happy for Zhang Yun as she gently nudged her, "Come on! Go and have a look! Why are you still standing there?"

"Oh, yes, yes, yes!" Zhang Yun got up excitedly, nearly toppling the table over.

"Look how happy you are! Can’t you calm down a bit?" Ning Yibin couldn’t help but scold her, though there was indeed a smile in his eyes.

"I can’t! I’m going to be a grandmother! Can’t calm down anymore." Zhang Yun grabbed a cup of water from the table and dashed out.

Outside, An Hao was crouched in front of a flower bed, violently vomiting until the acidic contents of her stomach were coming up.

Qin Jian gently patted her back, helping her to regain her composure, "Feeling better now?"

"Mhm." An Hao, gasping for breath, nodded, "Much better."

Zhang Yun came out with a cup of warm water and, seeing that An Hao had finished vomiting, she quickly handed it over to her, "Quick, rinse your mouth."

An Hao took the water, rinsed her mouth and spat it out, then drank a few more sips, feeling a burning discomfort in her stomach.

She frowned in pain, her whole demeanor wilting.

"How are you feeling? Still uncomfortable?" Zhang Yun asked with concern, her gaze fixating on An Hao’s lower abdomen, wishing her eyes were X-rays that could see whether An Hao was carrying Qin Jian’s child, "An Hao, let me ask you a question, are you pregnant?"

An Hao suddenly froze, this question had never crossed her mind, "It shouldn’t be, right?"

She and Qin Jian always practiced contraception.

"It’s possible!" Qin Jian suddenly spoke up, "An Hao, your period hasn’t come this month. It’s been overdue for almost three days now."

"How do you remember it more clearly than I do?" An Hao glared up at him; it was inappropriate for them to discuss such a private matter with her mother-in-law standing right there, wasn’t it?

"I just remember clearly." Qin Jian was very certain.

Every month, An Hao would refuse him around her ovulation period.

He didn’t understand medicine, but An Hao was a medical student, and her words were never wrong.

Now, with the availability of condoms, whenever they wanted to be intimate during those days in the middle of the month, he had to wear one, as per An Hao’s insistent request.

"So, you mean that I might be pregnant?" An Hao felt a rush of blood to her head, hoping it wasn’t so.

She was only a sophomore!

Her studies were already full steam ahead, and according to the plan set by Yan Ye, she could graduate in a year and a half at the earliest.

That means, when others were in the first half of their senior year, she would be able to graduate with enough credits.

If she was exceptional enough, she might even start working as a doctor by her senior year since she had already begun shadowing Yan Ye at the hospital on Saturdays and Sundays.

This was a critical year, and she wouldn’t want it to be disrupted by the sudden arrival of a new life.

"I think it’s possible!" Because even contraception with condoms is not 100% foolproof, an accident could still occur.

"Then that would be wonderful." Zhang Yun’s face bloomed with joy.

Now, An Hao felt completely uneasy. Her periods were always regular; could this unexplained delay mean she was pregnant? "Alright, let’s not think about it now. You two head back home first! Your father and I will clean up and follow afterward," Zhang Yun added and repeatedly instructed Qin Jian, "Take good care of your wife when you get home! It’s hard being pregnant!"
