When the training camp was about to end, there was a day of rest.

An Hao thought about going out for a walk, maybe, she could visit the research institute to see Qin Jian. It had been a while since she last saw him, and she missed him dearly.

Yun Ge woke up early that morning, feeling a bit dizzy and sneezing continuously, which was a sign that she was probably coming down with a cold.

She found some cold medicine to take and prepared to go downstairs.

Unfortunately, today’s weather was gloomy, and there was a heavy downpour outside, pouring incessantly.

An Hao took an umbrella and went downstairs, bought some fruit on the street outside the school, and then headed off to find Qin Jian.

Halfway there, there was a flash of lightning and the rain grew heavier.

An Hao got up from the ground, rolled up her trouser leg to look, and saw that her knee was scraped, exposing the fresh red flesh beneath.

She gritted her teeth and stood up, about to leave the place when another sting of pain came from her ankle; it seemed she had twisted her foot as well.

Qin Jian and Tian Niu had just returned from supervising work in the city.

With the driver at the wheel, Qin Jian was sitting in the back seat, looking down at the documents in his hand when he suddenly heard Tian Niu start to make a fuss.

"Qin Gong, look... that’s... isn’t that sister-in-law?"

Qin Jian’s head shot up, and he looked out the window to see An Hao in the rain, drenched, struggling to walk with her umbrella.

"Stop the car! Now!"

Liu Jun quickly stepped on the brakes, the car stopped, and Qin Jian, without even bothering to take an umbrella, opened the car door and rushed out.

"An Hao!" he called out.

An Hao, hearing someone calling her name, hurriedly turned to look back.

And then she saw Qin Jian, running anxiously towards her from the other end of the curtain of rain.

"Qin Jian! What are you doing here?" Surprised to encounter him here, An Hao was overjoyed.

"Are you hurt?" Qin Jian didn’t wait to discuss anything else, but bent down, rolled up her trouser leg, and saw that her knee was badly scraped, the skin raw and bleeding.

He was startled: "You’ve fallen this badly!"

"It’s nothing, it’s alright!" An Hao saw that he had noticed and quickly covered it with her hand.

"Don’t joke!" Qin Jian frowned, and without another word, he bent down, picked An Hao up, and carried her towards the car.

Tian Niu hastily took an umbrella and came down to assist.

He placed the thoroughly drenched An Hao into the car and with a slam shut the door: "To the hospital first!"
