Chapter 1010: Chapter 1010: Taking money to ward off disasters for others.
Both of them arrived at the sweet potato stall, where An Hao picked out a particularly large and well-roasted sweet potato.
As Qin Jian was paying, he suddenly heard a woman’s cry for help coming from the side of the road, "Robbery! Help! Someone is robbing me!"
Qin Jian looked back and, sure enough, across the street two young men were in broad daylight, snatching a woman’s handbag!
"Wife, don’t move from here! I’ll be right back!" Qin Jian turned and ran towards the scene of the incident.
"Be careful!" An Hao called after him loudly.
No sooner had Qin Jian chased after the two thugs than two more men emerged from An Hao’s side, wielding large wooden sticks and rushed towards her.
"Make it quick! Hit the right hand! Strike and then run!"
"Got it!"
Seeing that the two men were charging at her, An Hao could tell from the sticks in their hands that they had no good intentions.
She didn’t care about her sweet potato anymore, threw it at them, and started running.
"Stop!" The two men behind her chased fiercely.
An Hao clenched her teeth and shouted for help while she ran.
After a long chase, An Hao was completely drained of energy.
Eventually, her legs gave way, and she collapsed to the ground with a thump.
The two men, gasping for breath, stopped in front of An Hao and pointed at her, "Run now? Keep running, huh!"
"I can’t run anymore! I’m out of strength, and I have no quarrel with you, why are you chasing me with that big stick?"
"Taking money to ward off disasters for others!" the other party said.
"What trouble did I cause anyone?" An Hao asked, puzzled.
"You ask me? Who do I ask?"
"Six, stop wasting time and just do it! Quick and clean!"
"Right! Let’s do this! Aim for the right hand!"
As one prepared to pin An Hao to the ground and prevent her from moving, the other raised a stick, ready to strike.
However, before they could position themselves, Qin Jian appeared behind them and sent each flying with a kick.
"Who the fuck..." The two hooligans cursed as they struggled to get up from the ground, about to fight back, but when they saw Qin Jian’s face, they hesitated.
"Let’s get out of here, don’t cause more trouble!"
As the two tried to get up, Qin Jian delivered another kick to their chest.
The two men fell to the ground, moaning and holding their chests.
"Take them to the police station!" An Hao got up from the ground, dusted herself off, and handed the scarf to Qin Jian, "Tie them up."
"No need for that," Qin Jian said, as he bent down and yanked the belts off the two men, tying them up tightly.
"Let’s go, it’s too free out here for you, time to switch to a place where you can stay for a couple of days," Qin Jian said, grabbing the other end of the belts and dragging them away.
"Damn! PLA uncle, you’re too amazing, to arrive so quickly within such a short time!" They had clearly calculated the timing in advance.
"A diversion?" Qin Jian immediately grasped the implication in the two men’s words.
An Hao followed behind, continuously asking, "Who told you to do this? Speak up!"
The two men kept their mouths shut, following the rule that they couldn’t reveal anything.
However, from the words "right hand" mentioned by them, An Hao already had a rough guess.
Why would someone emphasize the right hand! If someone hired thugs to deal with her, why bother with which hand?
Why stress the right hand? Could it be related to her profession? So, is it someone from within the hospital?
An Hao wasn’t certain; it was just speculation for now.
