Chapter 1009: Chapter 1009: Beating You Till You’re Searching for Your Teeth Everywhere
"How often?" Dr. Wang asked.
"Every two days, or even less," An Hao said with flushed cheeks, embarrassed, "including once exactly on the day of ovulation. But still, nothing has come..."
"You don’t need to worry about that! Getting pregnant can be simple, and it can be complex. It’s not just about being physically healthy; it can also be affected by external factors, such as mood or the surrounding environment. So, relax, don’t overwork yourself, and just let nature take its course," Dr. Wang explained in detail to An Hao.
"I understand!" An Hao nodded.
"Thank you, Dr. Wang! Knowing there’s nothing wrong has put us at ease. Thank you!" Qin Jian extended his hand and shook hers.
"No need for thanks! I hope you’ll get pregnant soon! Don’t forget to give me a glass of wedding wine when the time comes."
"Definitely!"
Coming out of the hospital, An Hao breathed a sigh of relief.
"Don’t worry," Qin Jian, seeing her continuously nervous appearance, took her hand, "you’re so young! And healthy, having a child won’t be difficult! You’re just too tired. When I get back, I’ll take you to really relax."
"Hmm. Then let’s follow the doctor’s advice and let nature take its course." Worrying is pointless anyway, haste makes waste.
"That’s right! I’m not even worried, why are you?" Qin Jian flicked An Hao’s forehead and laughed.
An Hao rubbed her forehead where he had flicked her, jokingly said, "I’m afraid if we don’t have kids soon, you’ll turn into an old man? What if when you take the kid out, people ask if it’s your son or your grandson?"
"What?" Qin Jian raised his eyebrows.
Seeing his expression, An Hao knew it was bad and immediately turned to run.
Qin Jian’s smile curled at the corners as he chased after her relentlessly.
Their laughter scattered everywhere as the two stunning figures caught people’s eyes.
Several meters behind them, shadowy figures skulked, following at a consistent distance.
"Did you see clearly?" Wang Jiu, with a cigarette in his mouth, asked the sidekick beside him.
"Brother Jiu! Clear as day! That man actually is the same one who knocked your teeth out on South Street last Chinese New Year," the sidekick said.
The moment his words ended, Wang Jiu slapped him hard: "Who got their teeth knocked out? Which of your eyes saw me looking for my teeth? Tired of living, are you?"
"Sorry, sorry! Brother Jiu!" The sidekick, covering his face, hurriedly apologized, "They didn’t knock your teeth out! Yeah, I misspoke; it was where they made you spit blood and teeth!"
"My ancestors!" Wang Jiu spat at him, "Was I blind last year? How did I end up with someone like you?"
"Let it go, Brother Jiu, don’t stoop to his level! What’s our next move? We’ll follow your lead!"
Sighting Qin Jian, Wang Jiu actually felt a bit intimidated; to leave such a sum of money unearned would be a pity.
But brute force definitely wasn’t going to work.
"Change of plan," Wang Jiu crooked his finger, drawing his gang closer.
While waiting for the car to go back, An Hao saw some sweet potatoes for sale across the street, their tempting aroma wafting across.
"I haven’t had roast sweet potatoes in a long time." An Hao licked her lips, her mouth watering.
This was the flavor she missed most in winter.
"You wait here, I’ll go buy some." Today, releasing An Hao’s hand, he strode toward the crosswalk.
"I’ll come with you." It doesn’t matter if we catch the next car back.
