Chapter 475 - 273: The Complete Collapse of the Dwarf Deity System

Chapter 475: Chapter 273: The Complete Collapse of the Dwarf Deity System

The battle between deities didn’t seem as shocking as the spells cast by magicians.

But each seemingly casual attack could stir up tremors in the starry sky.

The legendary mages standing aside knew very well that although they could do the same, they couldn’t do it as effortlessly.

In this place, supported by the laws of the world and able to unleash their full power, these deities could be said to be invincible.

Yet, despite having obtained a part of the Metal System and Fire Element laws, the dwarves appeared somewhat weak.

Hill glanced around; if this was all of the dwarven gods, then it was clear that Coron’s attack had done truly great damage to the dwarves.

The dwarven gods who had ascended with the help of the Gold Element Laws had likely fallen on the spot.

Only a final few remained, gasping for breath, having lost most of their power.

Including the Dwarf King who, with a giant shield in hand, was opposing the Sun God.

Apart from a few dwarven deities, most were weaker than the lesser gods and divine subordinates standing around watching from the outer realms of various divine kingdoms.

Even the God of Time and Space had two lesser gods, Spencer and Young William; other deities had likely accumulated even more over tens of thousands of years.

In front of the Dwarf King, they were indeed weak and unable to intervene in this terrifying battle.

But Hill could see their positions clearly; a small part stood outside the gate to the Elemental Realm, while most stood on the starry path.

This was an intention to capture all the dwarves, to prevent them from taking any laws of this world with them.

Seeing their own Divine King about to be defeated, the Furnace Artifact began to struggle violently.

The Silver Wolf arched its back, growling as it pulled the ropes taut.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon also tensed her body, and the several Moon Halos that had been whirling non-stop ceased their rotation; layers of silver halos hung around both the Silvermoon and the Silver Wolf.

The Furnace Artifact shook continuously, yet it still couldn’t break free from the control of the Moon Goddesses.

Those ropes must have had the function to either weaken the opponent’s power or increase their own; Hill could judge the intensity of the Furnace’s struggle, it would take about two of him to barely hold it off.

The Goddess of the Silvermoon was never known for her strength, so what law was this using, one gifted by the Goddess of the Earth?

Eventually, the Furnace ceased its shaking, and from above it, dozens of short, sturdy figures burst forth.

The legendary mages who had been waiting, acted instantly, helping the Goddess Spencer, who was leading a group of lesser gods and divine subordinates to intercept, blocking all of the dwarven demigods.

Hill glanced over; the moon elves of Agleya Divine Country had also emerged, forming a small squad that had no trouble intercepting a single demigod.

The main issue was the lack of weapons and armor; they only had Moon Blades, curved swords, and leather armor, otherwise these dwarven demigods would not be difficult for them to handle.

Hill took note of this; with a flick of his fan, 12 tornadoes flew out, blocking a shield-bearing demigod who emerged from the Furnace.

Waving his folding fan unconcernedly, Hill whipped up a storm of tornadoes, cutting off the dwarven demigods that flew out.

He could only release twelve tornadoes at a time, but he never said that he could only release them once.

Hill could clearly feel the weighty gazes of the battling legendary mages upon him.

Hill’s demigod artifact, even with just a fraction of its capabilities, was incredibly powerful.

Each storm possessed the strength of a legendary spell.

Whether or not this was Hill’s first Rule Demigod Artifact, it proved that he was not only a powerful legendary mage but also a true Alchemist Master.

They should have realized long ago that Hill, who had surpassed various bloodline restrictions of magicians to become a legend of the laws, was never inferior to them.

Fran’s lips curled upwards, his joy rarely so outwardly displayed; he directed a crystal ball to release a series of Ice Spells, freezing a hammer-wielding demigod.

The legendary mages present, other than the two, were at least a thousand years old.

Together with the divine subordinates and lesser gods emerging from the divine kingdoms, these dwarven demigods didn’t last long.

Hill showed no mercy in killing the shield-bearing demigod he faced.

His clean and decisive actions finally made many legends understand the great difference between being of a Kind Alignment and a do-gooder.

Among the dwarven gods, the first to falter was the Princess wielding a giant axe.

She showed no fear but looked past Agleya, staring at Hill with a cold gaze, "You’d better pray that you don’t fall into my hands the moment you leave this world!"

Agleya, furious, sent a massive Ice Mountain crashing down.

The clone automatically dissipated, along with a burst of cold laughter.

"Agleya!" Hill called out, "Come here!"

The little girl obediently flew over, and Hill placed his hand on her forehead, beginning the Purification immediately.

In that lightning-fast moment earlier, Hill suddenly remembered some things—the distinctive hairstyle was like the Mediterranean bald patterns of monks from the medieval monasteries; it seemed to belong to a Dwarf Goddess skilled in spiritual powers.

Although he couldn’t recall the name, he remembered she was someone capable of contending with the Eye Demon, and Hill was somewhat worried about Agleya.

Although mental influences might be minor, they were enough to lead a deity whose character was not yet mature astray.

Agleya, not knowing what had happened, still obediently allowed Hill to examine her mental sea.

Silvermoon walked over quietly, "What’s wrong?"

"I’m worried that the Evil God did something to Agleya, she dissipated too easily," Hill carefully examined and found a peculiar mark on the edge of Agleya’s mental sea.

Hill summoned the powers of nature, and a faint green light scattered the mark instantly.

"Really? There was something?" Silvermoon was surprised, "But Agleya is a Main God!"

"That was a rather powerful divine manifestation of a deity. If it used most of its power to curse Agleya, it wouldn’t be impossible," Hill said as he patted Agleya’s head. The little girl had noticed something when Hill dispelled the mark and now felt uncomfortable and a bit nervous.

Agleya checked her mental sea over and over again, taking a long time before she finally took a deep breath.

For a deity, to leave a mark meant only that they were not paying attention, not that it could not be discovered.

Agleya pressed her head into Hill’s palm, affectionately nuzzling it, then raised her hands, grabbed Hill’s and rubbed her cheeks against them, "Don’t worry! Dad Hill! I’ll check it several times every day when I go back, it will be alright."

Goddess Silvermoon watched eagerly, knowing in her heart that she was not Hill, she didn’t have the privilege with Agleya, and although she was curious, she couldn’t ask to look.

The Goddess of Silvermoon flew directly into the middle of the battlefield. After those demigods came out, the Furnace Artifact’s struggles had clearly weakened, so she had a bit more leeway to do other things.

Anyway, the Silver Wolf was still obediently competing in strength with the Furnace Artifact, using all four legs.

Goddess Silvermoon decisively asked all of Hill’s divine subordinates to check their mental seas, to prevent being tricked by that Female Evil God. She didn’t take Agleya as an example, but what had happened was plain to see for everyone.

Then she returned to her position; the Elf Deity System seemed a bit unstable.

But Silvermoon seemed to sense that the Divine King was cursing someone rather than planning to come out and do something.

She turned her head curiously. Had that dissipating manifestation of the Evil God also made a move on the Elves?

Hill checked Agleya’s mental sea carefully once again. It should be alright now, so he let the Little Sea God go.

The little girl jumped twice in the starry sky and twirled around, showing Hill she was unaffected by the incident, then she dashed toward the other Dwarf Gods, huffily.

As she rushed over, she was followed by a sky full of Ice Tornadoes; she seemed to think they were particularly damaging to Dwarves.

With Agleya’s involvement, the situation worsened for the ordinary Dwarf Gods.

The Female Evil God’s goal was achieved to some extent; even if she couldn’t cause chaos in this world, she could at least prevent her enemies’ subordinates from returning to the Abyss.

Yet Hill noticed that the God of Time and Space was quietly changing positions, moving as close as possible to the Furnace.

He frowned, waving his fan, commanding the tornadoes to swirl around the Furnace.

The fall of the Dwarf Deity System was swift, and Hill felt something was wrong.

The Dwarf King, who had steadfastly contended with the Elven God King for so many years, couldn’t have become so weak simply from the loss of the Gold Element Laws.

Unless that Furnace had absorbed the Dwarf King’s power.

The human deities seemed to have noticed these issues and gradually stopped fighting, giving the Dwarf Gods a brief respite.

However, they did not celebrate for long.

The Sun God did not stop pursuing the Dwarf Gods over these doubts. He shot out Sun God Arrows, not giving them any chance to cling to life.

"Even if that Furnace escapes, I won’t let these instigators off!" The Sun God surveyed the human deities, "Don’t overthink it! Hesitation is a human weakness, you should have overcome it when you became gods!"

Hill watched amusingly, as only the God of Knowledge and the Goddess of Agriculture showed their agreement, while the expressions of other deities displayed a ’what nonsense are you talking about’ look.

With a howl from the Dwarf King, only three Dwarven Gods were left standing by his side.

In the hymns of the Dwarves, when he first arrived in this world, he was accompanied by six followers.

Even discounting the pair of filler Gods of Smithing, he was missing a genuine Lesser God.

"Damn it! If you don’t act now, I’ll just let the Furnace Artifact self-destruct!" The Dwarf King glared in the direction of the Furnace, regretting his decision to throw in his lot with the Abyss.

"Useless trash!" A faint voice came from the direction of the Furnace, "What use are you?"

"Is it because I wanted to ally with you?" the Dwarf King said coldly, "I could have stayed in this world from the beginning. I was much more honest than the Elves! If it weren’t for the Gray Dwarves insisting on connecting with the Abyss, my people would still be alive!"

"Heh!" The Dwarf King’s words were met only with cold laughter.
