Chapter 451: Chapter 250 Sudden! Power Transition in the Forest of the Elves
Hill originally thought that the Forest of the Elves was planning to put on a show, letting this group of Dark Moon Elves settle their internal disputes on their own.
If a few could stay, they would stay. If they couldn’t stay, the unlucky ones would just be those who wanted to become the lords of the Dark Moon Elves.
Most elves were not interested.
The relationship between the elves and the Dark Moon Elves always seemed harmonious, but in reality, it was not friendly.
When the Goddess of the Hunt was around, the elves only tolerated the Dark Moon Elves. Tens of thousands of years of tolerance had actually made these elves quite dissatisfied.
So now, with the Dark Moon Elves fighting to the death, not a single elf even watched.
But an unexpected event occurred.
Virginia’s ex-husband jumped out.
Without hesitation, he rushed directly at Virginia.
A few Legendary mages behind him charged at the group of clansmen trying to leave.
Hill widened his eyes in tension. What were they trying to do?
Virginia laughed heartily: "I’ve been waiting for you!" Then she instantly transformed into a giant white leopard and lunged forward.
Her snow-white fur shimmered with silver-blue lines.
Hill suddenly felt that it was no wonder Virginia didn’t care at all about the Earth Bear. She hadn’t awakened any of the Earth Bear’s bloodline. She was indeed a pure Moon Elf.
The kind of closeness linked by bloodline was probably something she never felt from the Earth Bear, even though that was her biological father. She likely always felt the pull of the Moon Elf bloodline.
Bloodline truly was a peculiar thing. It fostered a sense of closeness and belonging innately.
Hill smiled downwards. What was the difference between elves who distinguished closeness by bloodline and magical beasts?
Luckily, he was human.
Hill’s closeness to the Earth Bear was more because he agreed with what they did, rather than considering them family due to blood.
Perhaps because human bloodlines were more chaotic, they never had such an inseparable bond based on blood.
Hill genuinely thought this was a good thing.
The Dark Moon Elves’ relocation squad was in an uproar. They quickly hid under the big trees, shielding all the children behind them.
Perhaps thinking that the Forest of the Elves planned to take all their lives, the Legendary mages, who had been fighting politely, instantly changed their attitudes. They intended to fight desperately.
A beautiful, elegantly posed Dark Moon Elf priestess floated in the air, calming them in a gentle tone: "My clansmen, I stand here not to do you any harm, but to hope that you can consider this carefully. Do not abandon our Dark Moon Elves’ homeland in a moment of impulse.
The druids can survive well in the wilderness, but how can ordinary elves manage that?
And so many children!
How precious elven children are! How can we let them face a life of constant crisis in the wilderness?
This event was our oversight. We thought there would be no problem with the name decided by the Divine King, so we didn’t inform everyone.
In the future, this will never happen again! No matter how small the matter, we will inform every clansman!"
Unfortunately, her gentle kindness didn’t move the clansmen. Instead, it provoked a quick-tongued leopard.
"I’ve always been curious. Is your biological father this fool in front of me, or the Divine King in the sky?" Virginia suddenly roared, scratching the demigod ranger. Taking advantage of his evasion, she laughed and said, "But it looks like it’s still this fool in front of me! After all, if it were the Divine King’s bloodline, you wouldn’t need to persuade this group wanting to leave!
But you do have a bit of divine aura! And not just because of being a priestess!"
She easily intercepted the raging demigod ranger, quickly finishing what she wanted to say: "It seems that when your mother was pregnant with you, she was already the Divine King’s lover! No wonder his attitude toward you is so strange. He neither wants to interfere too much nor completely ignores you!"
She laughed loudly, fighting her ex fiercely: "Embarrassed and angry? No wonder you like this Moon Elf daughter so much! It’s an honor to share a daughter with the great Divine King! Haha!"
Virginia was clearly aiming to perish with her ex-husband!
She wasn’t even afraid of the Elven Divine King striking her dead with a few bolts of thunder!
Hill nervously glanced at the sky of the Forest of the Elves, but there was no reaction.
Only then did Hill belatedly realize that the Divine King was notorious for being a philanderer with lovers all over the world. As long as it wasn’t a direct insult to him, he didn’t care about his romantic affairs spreading everywhere.
Chaos indeed gave birth to the absurd?
Humans indeed couldn’t understand such peculiar thinking.
Hill felt that most people thought the Elven Divine King would furiously strike down the loose-talking Virginia.
However, the clear sky told humans that this was nothing.
Elves were such a wild and unrestrained race!
"The elves’ reaction is so indifferent; does this mean this matter isn’t significant to them?" Rettel Muen quietly asked his companion, "Then why is that demigod so angry?"
"There’s a difference between hurting others and being hurt by others. It’s not just a former lover; she was his official wife." His companion quietly replied, "Especially since he can’t provoke the one who hurt him, and now even his biological daughter has to rely on that person to enjoy a good life. Chaos just means different thinking, not a lack of self-esteem."
Hill and Rettel Muen both nodded in agreement.
Then Hill glanced at this companion, who was also a Legendary mage but with fewer laws under his control.
Hill thought that these Legendary mages outside of the Mage Association were actually somewhat interesting. They spoke and acted more normally.
The female priest stood rigidly in mid-air.
Her father was currently fiercely battling the ex-lover, and the clansmen, who should have been moved by her words, were now completely ignoring her.
In the eyes of most Dark Moon Elves, she was essentially a traitor, no longer recognized as one of them.
She couldn’t possibly not know that no one proud of being a Moon Elf could endure having their name turned into darkness.
Yet she still sided with the higher-ups of the Forest of the Elves, who had long been displeased with the Moon Elves, insulting all the Moon Elves!
Who didn’t know what Dark Moon meant?
Dark Moon was the shadow of the soul, the black desire that could only exist in the absence of light.
Even the youngest Dark Moon Elf knew their race had become a joke!
The Elven Divine King used their name to curse the Goddess of the Silvermoon, and they accepted it.
But the Forest of the Elves that gave them no chance to struggle was their enemy from this moment on.
Kind words won’t make them stay; even the Goddess of the Hunt wouldn’t be so foolish!
Hill watched from afar as the faces of these Dark Moon Elves slowly darkened.
These elves had become too gloomy!
Too many negative emotions had brought them to the edge of the cliff. If left in the Forest of the Elves, something big would eventually happen!
Rose certainly didn’t fancy the Goddess of the Hunt for no reason.
The Moon Elves were a race prone to overthinking. They could care about nothing but could easily fall into wickedness.
If they went into the wilderness and no longer had people calling them Dark Moon Elves, it might be better.
Otherwise, Rose’s maid Karula would eventually be drawn to them.
Fortunately, those who obstructed only sent more Legendary mages; they didn’t intend to kill those wanting to leave.
Though the fighting was intense, the most that happened was getting hurt; no Dark Moon Elves lost their lives.
Virginia’s claws had already scratched many pretty patterns on her ex-husband’s face, so she had plenty of patience and didn’t mind fighting for several more days and nights.
Although the Elf Queen had incited this internal strife among the Dark Moon Elves, she had no intention of intervening. All the elves remained silent; apart from the father, no one stepped in.
Even those Dark Moon Elves who stayed in the Forest of the Elves didn’t seem united.
The Legends blocking their way were clearly not putting in full effort.
After Virginia roared at them a few times while passing by, they quietly retreated, leaving the battlefield to the Legends following the female priest.
Hill blinked: So these were the former Moon Elf Royalty?
They had Virginia’s blood in them!
Virginia’s daughter had once been married to the Moon Elf King as part of the elven royalty.
Given the Moon Elves’ long lifespan, these Legends were not far removed from Virginia in terms of blood relations.
No wonder the Moon Elves sought Virginia’s help.
Hill even suspected that there were royal bloodlines among those fleeing.
Hill sat at the bow of the ship, watching the Dark Moon Elves persist in their fight for three days.
For a group that easily compromised after the fall of the Goddess of the Hunt, their tenacity and resilience were unimaginable.
Even the ordinary clansmen waiting under the trees showed no wavering.
Clearly, being named Dark Moon was a significant blow to them.
The Forest of the Elves’ lack of involvement in this matter also surprised Hill.
Based on his predictions, some elves should have come out to play the good guy a long time ago!
Especially that trouble-making Elf Queen.
She caused all this not to undermine the new lord of the Dark Moon Elves so that she couldn’t rival her?
If she came out too late and either side suffered losses, she wouldn’t be the good guy but the target of scorn!
Helping someone save face was all about timing. If she let them fall before intervening, she wouldn’t receive gratitude but resentment.
Hill fetched a handful of grapes, picking them one by one to pass the time.
Who knew if the Queen was being scolded by the Elven Divine King, why hadn’t she appeared yet?
A green light suddenly flashed in the sky of the Forest of the Elves. A Wood Elemental Lord flew into the sky, releasing wood magic to soothe emotions.
A beautiful elf girl slowly appeared: "Cease your battles!
The great Elven Divine King is deeply dissatisfied with this incident!
The queen who dared to conceal His will has been stripped of her throne!"
Hill could only feel a string of question marks above his head.
