Surviving The Fourth Calamity -
Chapter 414 - 213: Revealing Your True Self, It’s Actually You
Chapter 414: Chapter 213: Revealing Your True Self, It’s Actually You
Draculus tilted his head slightly, indicating to Frandor to speak of William’s matters.
However, Fran only shook his head, "There’s no need to talk more about it. It’s useless for me to say anything; you should observe for yourself slowly!"
William’s style was actually very tough.
Just hidden beneath a facade of jests and smiles.
Fran was not an enemy of William, and rarely saw the frightening side of William, feeling it only slightly as an onlooker.
The relationships among the deities were actually much more stark.
Those with great strength had to be endured by others, even by an entity like the Elven God King.
But for those lacking in power, just like the Dwarf God of Smithing, even the vulgar subordinates of the Dwarf King dared to scold and rage at him.
William, still on the ground, definitely couldn’t surpass the God of Nobility in power.
Yet all the emerged deities were polite to him.
That definitely wasn’t just because of that being squatting in The River of Time and Space.
People with backing are just not bullied, not necessarily respected.
Hill quietly turned his head, stealthily raising his hand.
The Defensive Magic Array snapped shut and then opened up again.
Then he said to Fran outside, "Grandfather, that spatial fluctuation is a bit intense, please be more careful."
Fran stood up, focusing intently on the changes in the half-plane.
The original connection point had already been blown to smithereens by Draculus; they were now forcefully smashing through.
Once the exit was smashed through, the half-plane would be directly destroyed.
For the original owner, that was of course a thoroughly bad thing.
But for Fran, who had yet to find his own half-plane, it was truly a great opportunity.
The destruction of a half-plane was harder to observe than its formation.
Many patterns could be found.
Except for ancient monstrosities like Draculus who lived for over a hundred thousand years, most of the Legendary Laws did not have their own half-planes.
So now, all were focusing intensely on the observation.
At the moment when everyone’s attention was diverted, a gigantic hammer suddenly appeared from the sky and smashed towards a legendary mage in a grey robe standing atop the deep pit.
It was nonchalantly blocked.
"Tsk." Draculus retracted his raised left hand, tossing a small box to Fran, "They really are bullies who are scared of the tough, huh! I lost."
Hill curiously glanced over, wondering when they had made a bet.
Draculus leaped out of the Cloud Ship, single-handedly holding off those two Dwarven Fallen Gods.
He unceremoniously utilized Hill’s Ice Tornado, endless thunderbolts bombarding them, driving the two dwarves to the edge of the large circle formed by the tornado.
Hill knew that although this being used Thunder Element Laws decently, his actual strongest powers were the Fire and Water Elements.
But compared to those, the purifying power of thunder was slightly stronger.
Of course, when compared to Hill’s power of the sun god’s damage to the Evil Faction, it was still much less.
Thus, even though the God of Smithing wielded a Divine Shield, when brushed by the tornado, he still let out a light grunt.
The power of the sun god damaged his evil soul, and besides a Magic Shield specifically guarding the spirit, a shield meant for physical defense was utterly useless.
The God of Smithing glanced at Draculus in the Starry Sky summoning thunder, sneering coldly.
He abruptly enlarged the Divine Shield, placing it above his head, and with his followers, charged through the thunder and out.
They charged fiercely, almost reaching a kilometer away in an instant.
Draculus’ net of thunder hesitated for a moment, changed direction, and continued to pursue the God of Smithing.
The God of Smithing’s goal seemed to be to stall Draculus, so there was no intent to fight desperately, all the while keeping on the defense and avoidance.
Draculus, probably one reason he persuaded these legends, was the chance for an unrestrained observation of this half-plane.
He himself wasn’t going all out either, just pressing those two dwarves to run circles around the perimeter.
Hill glanced over twice, then shifted his attention back to the half-plane.
He too greatly desired such a vast personal space.
About half an hour later, amidst the loud noises coming from the three individuals as if in a friendly match, the entrance to the half-plane emitted a sharp noise as dozens of figures rushed out, fleeing in every direction.
"Don’t go below! Have I not said it before! Don’t go below!" Although a raspy and unpleasing voice shouted a command, there were still demons that didn’t look back as they dove down.
They wouldn’t listen to anyone’s commands.
Only the gloomy underground could provide them a sense of security.
Some individuals, realizing they couldn’t call these rogues back, promptly changed direction and rushed upward.
Sure enough, not long after those few demons entered the underground, there was another violent explosion.
Hill had activated the Soundproof Array as those rogues rushed downwards.
The Cloud Ship only shook violently a few times before continuing to remain calm.
He ignored these trivial matters and focused on tracking the fleeing figures.
Who was the commander of this group of demons?
The legendary mage who had just spoken was a traitor from the Mage Association, which Hill recognized at a glance.
That was Draculus’s concern; Hill only wanted to find that demon.
The one who treated humans like mere sheep.
Hill’s mind raced, entering and analyzing each fleeing demon shadow in the Mental Sea.
Demons had already foolishly charged straight into the tornado.
Instantly stunned by the expulsion of evil, they were swept up by the tornado, the immense pressure waking them, only to be wailed upon by the ice and snow particles swirling within.
Watching their comrades, powerless even to struggle, they could only tumble up and down within the tornado.
No demon thought to rely on their strong bodies to charge into this ring of storm anymore.
Hill paid no attention to the demons attempting to charge upwards; he focused earnestly on those observing the tornado, trying to find gaps within.
The demons capable of such calculations were either mages who had changed sides, or that commander.
He tapped into his superficial knowledge of demons, trying hard to identify them.
He dismissed those peculiar half-demons, these half-abyssal creatures, easily recognizable at a glance.
Hill set his sights on three Fluroms, almost identical in appearance, flying together.
Their appearance was chaotic, but in truth, the one in the middle was tightly protected.
Although they too appeared frantic, looking up at the sky as if they wanted to break through,
Hill could feel that they knew it was even less safe up above.
Only here, in the tornado, the occasional gaps that appeared were their chance at escape.
With so many tornadoes, there must be a caster.
Perhaps not even the same one, so as long as they could throw these defending mages into disarray, they would certainly find a chance to flee.
Had Hill been in their place, he would have made the same assessment.
Moreover, his intuition was screaming that it was this guy!
Hill always believed that if his judgment and intuition pointed to the same person or thing, then there was no need to hesitate.
He gently waved his finger, and a mist slowly rose into the air.
The mist, affected by the tornadoes on the periphery, began to form a slowly spinning vapor vortex.
The demons couldn’t help but flame up on their own bodies, the mist infused with the power of the sun god making them extremely uncomfortable.
Hill closed his eyes and waited quietly; he knew he had the power for only one strike.
He didn’t need to kill the demon directly, plenty of others could finish the job.
Hill just needed to deliver a ferocious blow, to heavily injure the demon.
The power of the Legendary Laws was strong enough; at least up to now, no demon had broken through their encirclement.
Those truly daring to fight to the death had already delivered their lives.
However, their main target was still that alarm-raising guy.
The former vice president of the Mage Association, Feruccio Betti.
A Legendary.
Hill guessed that this was the person Draculus had not anticipated.
He probably thought that even if a Legendary fell into the demons’ trap, the impact wouldn’t be too great.
That’s why he dared to ignore the affairs in the starry sky, even knowing that demons were colluding with members of the Mage Association, letting them wreak havoc.
He knew many mages were corrupt, after all, in a place imbued with his Alchemy Products, he couldn’t possibly be deceived.
But this kind of pure Neutrality was even rarer than outright evil; they had almost no emotions and didn’t care if someone committed evil right under their noses,
As long as it didn’t affect what they considered the bigger picture.
Draculus probably always felt that he had everything under control, which is why he was so sure.
However, Feruccio Betti, his personally appointed deputy president, who took with him a half-plane unknown to anyone, had fallen into the Abyss Faction as a Legendary.
Hill could feel the uncontainable rage of Draculus after this Feruccio Betti showed up.
Now, it wasn’t him looking for trouble with the God of Smithing; it was the God of Smithing with his hammer and attendants hounding him.
Luckily, Hill kept supplementing the mist, forcing the demons to be distracted maintaining the flames on their bodies. The Legendary Laws, even facing dozens of Great Demons and the no-longer-human-shaped Feruccio Betti, were still effortlessly stable.
Hill took out a Mana Potion and drank it in one gulp.
Fran stepped in and said in a low voice, "I won’t ask which one; I’ll hold the defense. Just shout when you make your move, and I’ll try to follow."
Hill nodded slightly.
They didn’t have to wait long; after several failed charges by Feruccio Betti, who was still repelled, he finally shouted, "Karula! It\’s your turn!"
"Useless man," a chilly voice came.
A silver longsword pierced directly towards Hill’s Cloud Ship.
Fran cautiously used his Crystal Ball Demi-God Artifact.
Before knowing what power this woman truly possessed, he felt it better to avoid direct contact as much as possible.
Outside the Cloud Ship, he set up a Mirror Reflection Technique.
Karula’s figure gradually became visible outside the Cloud Ship.
It was as if a clump of air suddenly turned into a person.
Hill thought of her taller stature than average and her attack with a Thin Sword without using magic, feeling somewhat confident.
"Be on your guard for mental and toxin defense," Hill instructed before letting go.
"What a pity; I had intended to remain hidden.
My master would surely love this world, where elves descend into the abyss along with us.
Too bad my master made a promise to the foolish Dwarf."
Karula lamented for a moment, her physical form gradually becoming ethereal, finally transforming into an Elf.
Hill heard a furious shout from the starry sky, "It was you all along!"
