Chapter 168: Chapter 20 All Set, Just Awaiting the Guest_3
You must have been too fidgety. Mr. Hill muttered under his breath.
"This is my Forest Array, and it contains Treants," said Hill, his head aching. "Don’t lay a finger on the trees!"
"Alright. I just thought this twig looked nice and wanted to snap one off," Old Cat defended. "It won’t happen again, I’ll let them know."
He peeked around the small square, "Is all this caution really necessary?"
"Snow Cloud Peak will send stuff from the Demon there," Hill explained. "I need to take some precautions."
"What about me?"
"If you’re free lately, just stay in the Church. I’ve arranged an office for you with List," Hill instructed. "After the Undead Tribe arrives, if there’s anything, you and List will discuss and deal with it.
There are many things that List can’t understand because of the way the Undead Tribe thinks, and you’ll need to help explain."
"Stupid thoughts, no need to understand them! Why bother with them?" Old Cat said instinctively.
Then, realizing what he said, he added, "Alright, I understand. If they’re being totally unreasonable, I can kick them out, right?"
"You can make a suggestion to List, and if he agrees, that’s fine.
As long as your reasons are sound, he won’t disagree."
"A brain’s way of thinking, huh?" Old Cat murmured. "That’s perfect."
Hill felt that this cat seemed rather troublesome, didn’t he?
But he couldn’t say much more, as, compared to other people in the territory who preferred life skills, Old Cat was his only choice.
Hill was actually curious about what the Deputy Mayor role that Old Cat had received in their game entailed.
He asked List to pay attention, trusting that with more players coming, someone would surely ask Old Cat about it.
Old Cat might have discussed it with his companions at home, but Hill couldn’t eavesdrop on someone else’s home, so he would have to wait for an opportunity.
List suddenly appeared, "Sir, Mr. Yunfeng has teleported here with many people."
Hill turned and walked towards the Church, with Old Cat immediately perking up and following closely behind him.
"Mr. Hill! Long time no see! How’s everything lately?" Yunfeng was already standing at the entrance of the Church, greeting Hill from a distance.
"Mr. Yunfeng, you too," Hill replied, smiling. Could this NPC’s frighteningly fake greeting be changed!
He nodded to the row of people lined up behind Yunfeng as well.
"Sorry for bringing so many people!" Yunfeng said, feeling embarrassed. "Although List has set both our Alliance and the Alliance Gang as friendly factions,
there are still people worried about being forgotten and insist on coming here."
Hill speechlessly thought: You might as well say they’re all worried about what they would do if they couldn’t buy Alchemy Medicines from Fran’s Territory.
He said to Yunfeng with a smile, "My territory, you’re welcome anytime. As long as you can enter here, you can visit my grandfather’s place.
Grandfather has already arrived, I’ll take you to him. Just hand the stuff directly to Uncle Adrian."
Yunfeng smiled, pointed out a few people, and said to the others, "It’s fine, go and have a look around. Don’t cause trouble, I don’t want to be embarrassed if you get thrown out!"
Old Cat quickly stepped forward, "I’m the Deputy Mayor of this town, specifically dealing with issues related to the Undead. If you have questions, you can ask me."
He looked at the surprised players with pride, ready to begin his bragging spree.
Hill, turning a deaf ear, led Yunfeng and a few others straight into the Lord’s Mansion and up to the second floor.
Fran and Adrian were indeed already waiting there, and even the isolation Space Box had been opened.
