Chapter 117: Chapter 94: Players Who Love to Join in the Fun_2
Watching them swiftly take out large crystals to make floor-to-ceiling windows, someone suddenly exclaimed, "If these two combined forces, could they eliminate a city’s worth of contractors?"
Hill quickly glanced over: Black Rose members.
Sure enough, as contractors’ subordinates, they were quite sensitive to this topic.
"So why doesn’t Baldy play as an Earth Mage?
Summon a few Earth Elementals, why bother building houses ourselves!
I could pay him to do it!
Has the contractor learned so much that he’s returned it all to his school?"
Hill looked at the loudly complaining young master, thinking he really had no fear of death! The people standing around him all belonged to the Black Rose!
However, his mouth twitched as he saw that all of them were nodding in agreement. It seemed that compared to their lord’s dignity, they were more keen on him helping to build houses.
Hill looked at the corridor filled with players and silently cast a spell to transform the material of the stone corridor once again. He used to think that it surely wouldn’t survive a fight, so he hadn’t bothered using mana to enhance the corridor’s material.
But he had forgotten that the players also liked standing on rooftops.
"Did the color of this stone change?" someone quickly noticed.
"It must be Hill’s doing, he’s been glancing at us several times.
Is he worried we’ll collapse the roof?"
"666. Look at how he uses that spell, so silently!"
"You can use Silent Mode too!"
"Are you stupid? Just by looking at the hand gestures you can tell what’s being used."
"I don’t know. Why should I memorize someone else’s hand gestures?"
The person was speechless for a moment, and after a long while said, "Isn’t this all about pvp?"
"How did Wenjian become about pvp, I didn’t know that." Another person was even more irritated.
"It’s Wenjian’s, huh!
Then we should ask the young master."
Hill felt this sudden enlightenment and the complete lack of intent to continue arguing was quite insulting.
"Ask a P. He doesn’t even know himself."
However, the people from Wenjian didn’t care at all.
Hill faintly heard someone singing, "The young master bursts like a breeze, leaving all of Wenjian confused."
The young master himself was up ahead, arms crossed, watching the excitement, completely ignoring the discussion about him behind him.
These lords, no matter what else, definitely competed in the thickness of their skin.
All are classic examples of being accustomed to being cussed out.
"Hill! Hill!"
Hill heard someone calling him and turned his head to look.
"Ink Brush is outside looking for you."
He nodded and softly took flight, landing next to Mobi Chenxin, who was standing with his foot cocked.
"Why didn’t you fly directly in to find me?" Hill asked in surprise.
The girl next to him, Paintbrush Youxin, chuckled and said, "Mr. Hill, this guy, his landing from flying is like leaving it to fate, noisy and crooked.
With so many factions’ people around, it’s better he doesn’t go inside and embarrass himself."
Mobi Chenxin didn’t refute, taking it as acknowledged.
Hill blinked and couldn’t quite understand how they used their Flight Art.
It probably had something to do with a sense of direction!
Mobi Chenxin cleared his throat and spoke up, "Mr. Hill. I heard you have a kind of puppet that can cook?" He asked eagerly, "Can we also buy one? Is there a limited number?"
"They’re quite easy to make, but require a powerful Tower Spirit to imbue skills," Hill answered. "I’m currently not in the tower, and List is quite available. He should be able to make some.
You can go directly to him.
But I haven’t made many puppets myself, the earlier ones you can choose their appearance, but later you’ll only get the standard puppets made by the Alchemy Workshop."
Paintbrush Youxin flashed a cute smile at Hill, then suddenly took flight and ran away.
"Sorry about that, Mr. Hill," Mobi Chen scratched his head, "Paintbrush wants to start a restaurant."
Finally, someone thought of starting a restaurant!
"That’s great," Hill replied with a smile. "I only serve snacks, which is fine for a while, but not for long."
"Hehe," Mobi Chen said embarrassedly. "We only dared to think about opening a restaurant because we heard about the cooking puppet!
Otherwise, who would dare eat what we make!
Paintbrush can’t cook at all, yet she’s always so eager to try."
No one wants to poison her to death.
"A puppet cook would be best to keep up appearances."
"Is it really okay to discuss this with me?" Hill glanced at the foolish child, "So many people around us are listening!"
Who knows how many people have already sent his few words to Paintbrush with a purpose, right?
Mobi Chenxin, completely unaware, continued to ask, "Mr. Hill, how long will those two shops stay open?
If they leave, should I keep those storefronts reserved for them?"
Hill suppressed the urge to roll his eyes, "You’re hoping to take over those two houses as soon as they leave, aren’t you?"
"When they leave, just ask them," Hill suggested. "Give them some time, and after that, you can take back the property."
Mobi Chenxin nodded happily, "With their eyes higher than the sky, they won’t stay here."
Hill tugged at the corner of his mouth, "Please mind your manners."
Mobi Chenxin suddenly realized something and said, "Ah! I’ve heard some mages like to eavesdrop using their spiritual power, right?
Don’t worry, no one is going to make a fuss over a little trash talk."
So, even though you know they can all hear, you’re still going to say it?
He suddenly waved his hand, "Can they listen inside my Lord’s Mansion as well?"
"I don’t know," Hill could only calmly reply. "The control core of your lordship should have the details."
"Then I’ll go check it now." Mobi Chenxin quickly slipped away, "I’ll come by your shop later."
Is something wrong? Hill frowned, his forehead was practically becoming creased since the players arrived.
He turned back to look: the outer walls of the shop, like black crystal, had started to shimmer with flowing lights.
Adrian had already activated the shop’s core, and the light from various arrays began to twinkle.
"Mr. Hill!" A player shouted.
Hill looked at him, tilting his head in confusion.
"Could we add some tables in the corridor? There’s no place to set down our drinks!" The player, completely ignoring the commotion around him, yelled loudly.
Hill considered for a moment. Earth Elementals emerged from the ground, standing on both sides of the corridor, and they all used magic to embed foldable circular tables into the supporting columns that could be pulled down.
The tables weren’t large, but they were sufficient for placing some food and drinks.
Hill quickly flew up, heading back to his own shop.
He felt that if he stayed any longer, more bizarre requests would emerge.
Hill sat quietly on the third floor, waiting. Adrian soon came upstairs.
"Hill, did you understand what Hensley was implying?" Adrian sat on the sofa and asked seriously.
"I understand, he said I’m already a Magister. During his operations, he will only treat me as an equal, sowing discord and conspiracy, he will never exclude me."
Hill looked at Adrian, "Uncle Adrian, you don’t need to worry about me.
I don’t like these things, but that doesn’t mean I can’t handle them.
My father’s third wife, her status was much higher than Hensley’s.
I watched her for a full four years."
Hill thought to himself, "How many years of novels and TV series have I seen! Their tricks are nothing compared to the schemers in those harem stories."
Hill didn’t quite understand politics, but he wasn’t afraid of this kind of verbal manipulation and underhanded tactics.
Adrian nodded, "That’s true. Hensley’s methods can only be used among proud and arrogant mages.
They’re useless against those from Great Nobility.
But you shouldn’t play dumb. I’m talking about the possibility of him incidentally setting a trap for you in the future."
"Uncle Adrian." Hill smiled, "This kind of thing, one must be vigilant and protect oneself. I couldn’t possibly let my guard down around anyone other than you and my maternal grandfather.
Even Boen, after being away from me for so long, I wouldn’t fully trust him again."
"As long as you’re aware," Adrian said. "I’m the one who keeps treating you as a child.
Hensley did teach me a lesson.
You’re already a Magister, and your talents are undeniable.
You’ve become a thorn in many people’s eyes!"
He looked at Hill with concern, "The Natural Consciousness is still surrounding you, right? But don’t rely solely on It.
If one day it becomes ineffective or leaves you, you should be prepared."
Hill felt the anger from the Natural Consciousness around him and quickly said with a smile, "Nature loves me a lot! It won’t leave me.
And I’m also afraid that in some places, the Natural Consciousness might be blocked, so I’m prepared."
He stared at Adrian, hoping he wouldn’t continue saying foolish things.
