Tian threw his jacket to Ren, then turned around to rub away his tears. He didn’t say anything for a long time and asked his brother to keep his mouth shut.

After seeing that melancholy situation, Medeia couldn’t help but tease him. "Come on, don’t be shy." She put her arms around Tian’s shoulders. "Your brother must be happy to see you cry more."

"Medeia," Lucian called her. He pulled her away from Tian, saying, "Let’s give them some space."

Lucian spoke in a gentle tone, but at some point, Medeia could catch a hint of irritation in his voice.

"After 48 hours, you can go back with Tian and Ren by teleportation," Lucian said, "I’ll catch up to you."

Medeia creased her forehead. "Then, you’ll be alone if I go back first."

"Actually, I want to go somewhere before I return." Lucian lowered his voice, sounding a little bit hesitant. "But, I also want you to come with me. If you don’t mind, can you teleport back to me after two days?"

Medeia blinked several times, caught off guard by his unexpected request. Did he ask her to return with Tian and Ren first, so they could spend time alone later?

"What kind of place are you talking about?" she asked, feeling intrigued.

Lucian scratched the back of his neck, his hesitation more evident now. "It’s... somewhere nice, at least for me. I think you would like it if I brought you there. It’s alright if you don’t want to..."

"I want to go! Of course, I will teleport back to you!" Medeia didn’t think about it further because if Lucian said that the place was nice, then it must be really nice.

"Great." He smiled brightly. "You won’t regret it."

Medeia was about to say something, but her body was immediately on alert as she heard the loud sound from the first floor. It sounded like something had hit the sliding door.

"What is that?" Tian came out of the room with Ren. "Is that a monster?"

"They must have smelled us in here," Lucian said, "We have to leave this zone immediately."

Ren gulped. His skin suddenly got paler. "The monsters are endless here. Every time I manage to escape from one monster, then I will encounter another one."

Lucian then gave them valuable information. "This city used to have three zoos back then. Hence, no wonder there are so many mutant animals in this zone."

It was possible that they had multiplied in a short period of time, so their numbers could no longer be counted on the fingers. Let alone the mutant animals, they also had to face the walking undead.

"What should we do?" Ren was panicking because he didn’t want to face those monsters again.

"What else? We have to fight them?" said Medeia.

Lucian had lived in the city for years, so he must have known a safe path they could take to get out of the city.

"Most likely, the compass will lead us to the twin tunnels that connect to another city. The military used to put a barricade in front of the tunnel to protect the other city, but it’s useless because the radiation will contaminate the entire world."

However, the mutants in City J were not as many as the mutants in X-12 Zone because the soldiers had killed the animals there before they mutated.

"Most of the mutants there are undead or the Lost," Lucian informed.

Medeia asked, "So, this city is the first to experience mutation?"

"Yes. The radiation level here is the highest among the other cities, so the inhabitants in it mutate faster."

She patted him on the shoulder. "You have suffered a lot."
