Before he could say anything, Medeia had already given him an excuse, "You expended a lot of energy earlier, so I thought you needed more food!"

Did that excuse sound good enough?

Medeia wasn’t sure, but it was better than having to say that a crazy system had forced her to complete a quest.

"And can I ask you a question? What happened to Orlon?" asked Medeia to change the subject.

Lucian still didn’t understand what was going on in her head, but he eventually followed her conversation.

"Orlon is in the dungeon." Lucian explained, "He wound up pretty badly so I don’t think he can escape."

Dungeon?

This freaking military base had a dungeon? Were they in the medieval era or what?

"Did you beat him up?"

Lucian smiled. "As much as I wanted to torture him, I’m not the one who did it."

After Medeia had lost consciousness, Tian had taken Orlon and Eddie to the dungeon. However, he found many disturbing things down there.

"This is not only a military base, but also an experimental laboratory." Lucian’s face darkened. "They kidnapped people and turned them into lab rats."

Orlon had collected the remains of the surviving doctors, mostly surgeons. He asked them to perform many experiments on mutants who had become the Lost or were still conscious.

Lucian did not yet know Orlon’s purpose for performing those unorthodox experiments, but he was certain that it was more than just a scientific or medical purpose.

"We can’t ask him about it yet, because he still lost consciousness after Tian beat him so badly."

Medeia raised her eyebrows. "Tian? What’s wrong with him?"

Tian had always acted grumpy and mean, but Medeia had never seen him go on a rampage like that because he didn’t want to cause trouble.

"Eddie sent Ren somewhere. That’s why he forced Orlon to disable Eddie’s ability for a while so he could ask him where Ren is." Lucian sighed. "But Orlon pretended to deactivate Eddie’s ability, giving him a chance to escape."

Medeia tried to digest the information for a while before she asked, "But Eddie didn’t take Orlon with him?"

"When Tian realized something was wrong, he immediately pulled him away from Eddie, so he couldn’t leave," Lucian said, "Since then, he won’t stop using Orlon as a punching bag if only Harry didn’t calm him down."

Although Tian often scolded his brother every day and used the word ’stupid’ to describe his brother at every opportunity, no one could deny that he had always protected Ren and would do anything to save his brother.

His brother was a bit foolish and reckless, so Tian had to learn to be smart and responsible in order to survive with him.
