Supreme Electromagnetic Tyrant -
Chapter 741 - 452: The Second Star Pupil Fragment
Chapter 741: Chapter 452: The Second Star Pupil Fragment
Ji Xinghuo stepped out of the Jump Array Square and stood on a seaside viewing platform, looking in the direction pointed by the arrow.
East-northeast.
From his studies on the changes in the arrow, the larger the arrow, the nearer the distance. Before this, the two arrows of the Wanxiang Star Pupil had not changed, even from the Thousand Peak Abyss Forest to the Yuan Magnetic Territory.
Now, one of the arrows had clearly grown by about two-thirds, and its direction had also deviated from before.
This indicated that the distance to the location pointed by the arrow had decreased by two-thirds.
"That’s too far!"
Ji Xinghuo sighed internally.
From the Yuan Magnetic Territory to the Star Edge Territory, the distance is approximately 800,000 kilometers; by reverse calculation, he was still 400,000 kilometers away from the second piece of the Wanxiang Star Pupil.
This was even farther than the distance from Earth to the Moon!
However, distance was not the biggest problem.
The key was the location.
This was Donghuang Island, an island approximately 1.2 million square kilometers in area. Within the Bibo Dragon Domain, there were countless islands larger than Donghuang Island, with over a dozen covering more than 100 million square kilometers—these were no longer islands, but continents.
Together with the vast sea areas, the Bibo Dragon Domain was the largest among the five dragon domains of the True Dragon Dynasty, nearly forty percent of the entire dynasty’s territory.
The Bibo Dragon Domain was located in the eastern part of the dynasty.
And Donghuang Sea was on the eastern side of the Bibo Dragon Domain.
More than a hundred thousand Star Realm years ago, this sea area gave birth to a Dragon Emperor whose strength was unmatched in the Galaxy; he not only ruled the Bibo Dragon Domain but also the entire dynasty for tens of thousands of years, leaving a deep historical impact.
Including Star Edge Territory and Tide Song Territory, seven dragon territories were once under the direct jurisdiction of that Dragon Emperor.
Hence, they were collectively called the Donghuang Sea.
The area of the Donghuang Sea accounted for one-fourth of the Bibo Dragon Domain, forming the eastern boundary of the entire dynasty’s territory.
East of the Donghuang Sea is the "Sea Abyss".
The Star Realm Space corresponded with the Milky Way, with planets opening Star Gates in physical locations that were fixed in the Star Realm as well, and the distribution of Galaxy Planets was uneven—this was also reflected in the Star Realm.
The planet density was highest at the Silver Core, so the closer to the center of the Star Realm, the more vast the space, the higher the Ether Energy, and the more Star Gates and races.
Next were the Silver Disk and the spiral arms.
However, between spiral arms, the number of planets drastically decreased, and the corresponding spaces in the Star Realm appeared as a kind of void.
This void area gathered sea water, forming unfathomably deep abysses known as Sea Abysses.
A Sea Abyss is not the common type of ocean people think of. The sea water is only on the very surface; it is boundless yet confined, constantly brewing countless void currents and energy storms, enormously vast yet extremely dangerous.
The Sea Abyss serves as a natural boundary of the Star Realm, isolating civilizations from space.
Yet, life is not entirely absent in the Sea Abyss.
Constantly changing, the Sea Abyss sometimes forms islands, which disappear quickly. The miraculous nature of the Star Realm creates countless treasures, and frequently sea races, fish, and giant beasts venture into the Sea Abyss, seeking opportunities amidst dangers.
There are also some both fortunate and unfortunate Alien Races, whose planets are located between spiral arms, flourishing civilizations with Star Gates that lead to the Sea Abyss.
In summary.
The Sea Abyss is not a life-free zone; great dangers come with opportunities, but the dangers account for 99 percent, and the opportunities only 1 percent.
The Mutants of the Bibo Dragon Domain always had a flurry of venturing into the Sea Abyss for adventures.
However, the vast majority perish in the Sea Abyss, and less than one percent of those who manage to find treasures and return alive are referred to as "Sea Abyss Hunters".
Nevertheless, even the most seasoned Sea Abyss Hunters generally only venture within 100,000 kilometers of the Sea Abyss.
But the location pointed by the arrow was deep into the Sea Abyss, 400,000 kilometers in!
Ji Xinghuo felt helpless in his eyes.
"How could a piece of the Wanxiang Star Pupil fall so deep into the Sea Abyss?" he couldn’t help thinking of the previous fragment that had given him Microscopic Perception, making him invincible in melee, right within the territory of the True Dragon Dynasty, with Linyan Yongfeng even taking it to the Thousand Peak Abyss Forest.
"Estimate the exact location from other dragon territories."
Ji Xinghuo returned to the Jump Array.
He jumped from Star Edge Territory to the "Wuji Territory" in the northeast of the dynasty, where indeed the direction of the arrow changed, showing a further distance; he then jumped to the southern part of the dynasty and again located through the size and direction of the arrow.
Ji Xinghuo approximately confirmed that starting from the easternmost "Tianxu Territory" of the dynasty was the nearest.
"380,000 kilometers."
This perfectly matched the average distance between Earth and the Moon.
He stood on a street in a seaside city, looking east. This city in Tianxu Territory was the easternmost city reachable by jump, called Azure Sky City.
Tianxu Territory was also one of the seven territories of Donghuang Sea, adjacent to Star Edge Territory.
This dragon territory had a peculiar aspect.
The ruling Dragon King Family of Tianxu Territory was of the Xukun Dragon Bloodline, one of the seven Divine Dragon Species, the only Xukun family in the True Dragon Dynasty.
However, in the nearly thousand Star Realm years, the Xukun family had gradually declined, their Dragon Vein unprosperous, their strength waned, and the current Xukun Dragon King ascended to the Seventh Rank only after becoming the family head, his strength not outstanding among the Shepherd Star Saints.
Although the Xukun family had given birth to many Dragon Emperors, including the one who gave his name to Donghuang Sea, that former glory had since faded.
Tianxu Territory bordered directly on Star Edge Territory.
And the Canglong Family of Star Edge Territory could be described as thriving, even giving rise to the current Bibo Dragon Emperor.
The disparity between the two top families was striking.
"The Sea Abyss is too dangerous," Ji Xinghuo’s wandering thoughts reconvened. "We definitely need to find the fragments of the Wanxiang Star Pupil, but not now. We must prepare adequately and understand the Sea Abyss thoroughly."
He then jumped back to Donghuang Island.
This island was not only the center of the Donghuang Sea but also the political and economic center of the entire Bibo Dragon Domain.
Spanning more than a million square kilometers, Donghuang Island housed countless city districts. Endless constructions covered the island, with a permanent population exceeding two billion, making it the largest city of the True Dragon Dynasty in the Star Realm. The Canglong Family had named it "Cangming City"!
Ji Xinghuo walked the streets, wandering aimlessly.
Electromagnetic induction scanned his surroundings.
Cangming City was divided into two parts: above the water and underwater, with the above part built on land while the main body lay underwater.
Along the coast of Donghuang Island, docks and ports manually excavated spanned endlessly with ships moored as far as the eye could see, alongside many massively sized sea beasts moving up and down beneath the coastal waters where diversely styled houses were built.
Ji Xinghuo saw countless members of the Alien Race, the Sea Clan being the most abundant.
Merfolk, finfolk, frogfolk, Shell Clan, the shellfish people, Split Cheek Clan, Soft Body Clan, and Deep Water Clan—such a variety of races opened Ji Xinghuo’s eyes, making the difference between the Star Edge Domain and Earth seem much larger in comparison to the Yuan Magnetic Territory.
There were many races Ji Xinghuo did not recognize, mostly branches of the Sea Clan, moving between the sea floor and the land.
Ships were constantly setting sail.
People rode massive sea beasts into the depths of the water. In the sky, dragons and various types of flying mounts passed by, creating a spectacular scene of diverse races.
However, irrespective of the race, those who held dominion were still the people from True Dragon Race.
Ji Xinghuo walked the streets.
Wherever he went, the dense crowd automatically parted, clearing the way.
On the unique faces of humans and members of the Sea Clan, the looks directed at him were filled with awe.
Cangming City was enormous, and even after several hours, Ji Xinghuo had only seen a fraction of it; the streets gradually became less crowded but even more tidy and orderly, with squads of heavily armored Dragon Guards patrolling.
Electromagnetic induction revealed what was happening.
This area was near the Canglong Family.
The Canglong Family occupied the best geographical area on Donghuang Island. To the east bordered the sea, which connected underwater, and dozens of artificially excavated rivers were introduced to the island, forming water bodies for the Canglong to enter and exit.
Ji Xinghuo saw several Canglong frolicking in the sea, surrounded by many protective Dragon Guards.
Canglong belonged to the Sea Dragon Species.
This species was characterized by its massive size.
Canglong and Whale Dragons were the largest two types; their differences lay in their builds—Whale Dragons were bulkier, whereas Canglongs were longer.
Ji Xinghuo stopped to observe.
Even the smallest Flood Level juvenile Canglong had a body length exceeding forty meters.
They resembled crocodiles in shape, with pairs of web-like claws at the front and back, a tail that made up half of their bodies, diamond-shaped scales of a gray-blue color densely arranged, and a triangular, snake-like dragon head that could open very wide with extremely sharp teeth.
Canglong could not fly, but they possessed immense strength and the innate ability to manipulate water currents, transforming them into torrential forms.
These sea overlords almost had no enemies in the water, except for other Sea Dragon Species.
"Quite impressive dragons."
"Canglong have tremendous potential. With proper nurturing, they could rival the Divine Dragon Species and won’t be limited to just the seas," Ji Xinghuo silently appraised them for a moment. "But compared to my Annihilation Dragon, they still fall far behind."
He did not linger long and turned to leave.
A moment later.
Ji Xinghuo stepped into a sprawling single-story building; before entering, he had already determined it was a branch of the "Sea Abyss Hunter Guild."
Although he did not plan to go to the Sea Abyss immediately, he wanted to gather some information first.
However, just as he was about to enter, a massive figure burst through the wall, sending a shower of rubble directly towards him.
"Watch out!"
Someone inside shouted.
Ji Xinghuo had already seen clearly that it was a member of the Split Cheek Clan who had been thrown out.
The three-meter-tall figure was like a wall, with skin clearly divided into black and white, smooth and tough like fish skin. There was no neck beneath the fish-head-shaped head, the eyes were small, there were several slit-like gills on the sides, a triangular fin grew on the back of its head, and its arms were thicker than pillars, holding a giant trident.
This member of the Split Cheek Clan weighed at least two or three tons. If an ordinary person were hit, they’d be turned directly into mush.
Ji Xinghuo, not needing anyone else’s warning, dodged with an Instant Step.
Bang!
The Split Cheek Clan member crashed onto the ground in a mess, losing grip of the trident. A stream of water bound him, preventing him from escaping.
Ji Xinghuo was a bit surprised; this Split Cheek Clan member was a Legendary Second Dan with robust strength, yet someone had taken him down with a single hit.
He looked at the person who had acted, and his heart skipped a beat.
"What a coincidence..."
The person standing in front was a stunningly beautiful individual from the True Dragon Race, noble and serene, surrounded by an admiring crowd. Ji Xinghuo was familiar with her. It was Cang Ya, whom he had seen a few times in Yuan Magnetic Territory; he hadn’t expected to run into her right after arriving at Donghuang Island.
At that moment, Cang Ya’s gaze also fell on Ji Xinghuo, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, seemingly pondering something.
Her expression suddenly brightened, and she blurted out, "You are..."
