Chapter 200 - 200 7 24 Hours Part 3

200: Chapter 7: 24 Hours Part 3 200: Chapter 7: 24 Hours Part 3 He, like the tourists, was also captivated by the beauty of the dolls and paused to gaze.

Involuntarily, he took a half step back, feeling that these man-made creations looked so convincingly real…

as though the next moment they would step out from behind the glass cabinets and blend into the crowd of sightseers as beautiful noble daughters.

Gongsun Ce still remembered the nonsense he had uttered.

“Miss Knight, are the dolls here for sale?”

“Mr.

Gongsun, sometimes feigning ignorance does not make you seem humorous, only more foolish to others.”

He didn’t actually plan to buy one; he knew he couldn’t afford it even if they were for sale.

He merely asked in a vain hope…

knowing that he would probably never again visit, nor see such beautiful things.

Now, the dolls really stepped out from the glass cabinets, wearing similarly styled dresses, looking even more beautiful than the companions in his memory.

She stretched out her arms and spun in place, her skirt’s lace lifting like an umbrella twirling in the rain.

The young man with gray hair unconsciously lifted his hand, his fingertips passing through the memory’s glass cabinet, touching the real cheek before him.

The girl’s lips parted slightly.

“How is it?”

Museum dolls don’t speak.

This incongruity jolted Gongsun Ce out of his memories, making him withdraw his hand as if shocked.

“Sorry!”

Only then did the young man realize what he had just done.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to…

I…” Unsure how to explain himself, he awkwardly shifted his gaze, “I just thought it was very beautiful, really.”

The young lady nodded, “It’s rare to see Ah Ce so flustered; I believe you’re sincere.”

“I didn’t realize I looked that exaggerated just now!”

This conversation snapped him fully back to reality.

He was in the metropolis, not in Supibia, and the person speaking to him was not a lifeless doll, but Qin Qianbai, who had been angry just minutes before.

Is she still angry?

Gongsun Ce cleared his throat and asked, “This outfit…

what do you think?”

“To be honest, it’s not really my type.”

Clearly, it wasn’t going to be that easy to slide by.

“But,” the girl shifted her tone, “for Ah Ce’s standards, it’s an overachievement, barely passing.”

“Thanks for your generous approval…”

His relief vanished upon seeing the bill.

Who was the idiot who stared at the beauty but forgot to check the prices?

Turned out it was me!

Out of some inexplicable pride, Gongsun Ce acted nonchalant as he paid the bill.

He silently swore to himself that next time he helped someone choose clothes, he would definitely check the price first.

As much as possible, first check the price.

Finally having accomplished the task of selecting clothes, the role of carrying the bags naturally fell to the young man with gray hair and glasses.

Gongsun Ce planned, after today, to secretly buy Qiluo a plush toy or something small as a gift, now eagerly awaiting the young lady to announce the end of the ordeal.

“Miss Qin, you’re not really planning to boss me around all day, are you?” he tentatively asked, “At least let me sleep at night, okay?”

“I’m curious, what do you think I would have you do at night?”

Gongsun Ce blurted out in terror, “You’re not seriously planning to make me crouch on rooftops howling like a werewolf at midnight?!”

Miss Qin looked at him silently for a while.

“I’ve confirmed it, there’s genuinely something wrong with Ah Ce’s way of thinking.”

“Hisss…

you’re not planning to make me streak, are you?!”

“This is an order, don’t speak for now.”

Gongsun Ce nervously shut his mouth, his imagination making him even more frightened.

He followed the girl out of the Extreme Stability Building, the afternoon sunshine falling on them, dispelling the mall’s chill and bringing a warm sensation.

Gongsun Ce noticed several temporary stalls set up on the plaza in front of the building, where casually dressed students enthusiastically distributed flyers to passersby.

He was sure these people weren’t there when he had come after lunch, it seemed an event had started while they were clothes shopping.

Gongsun Ce squinted his eyes, recognizing a few acquaintances among those distributing flyers, thereby understanding what was happening.

Qin Qianbai asked, “Ah Ce, what are they doing?”

Gongsun Ce wrote with white material:[Recruiting new members for their club.]

The white letters had barely formed when a young man handing out flyers approached them.

His head was about half metal, giving him a distinctive appearance.

The metal-headed man enthusiastically waved the flyer, “Hey there, friends!

Interested in learning about the Superpower Mutual Assistance Association — oh!”

He had stopped mid-sentence upon seeing the gray-haired young man’s face, and immediately, his tone became serious.

“Good afternoon, Mr.

Gongsun.

Are you interested in learning about the Superpower Mutual Assistance Association?”

Gongsun Ce twitched his lips and wrote with white material:[Good afternoon, William of the Mutual Assistance Association.

You really came to ask me?]

The one named William spoke earnestly, “You know, we always have to try asking.

Who knows, maybe one day you might agree to join, and wouldn’t that be great?” He then looked at Qin Qianbai, “Are you interested in our little club, Miss Qin Qianbai?”
