Chapter 502: Chapter 502: The Moon Should Be Round Now_1

Fang Yue clung tightly to Su Chengyu, unwilling to let go; her tearful pleas were heart-wrenching and pitifully touching.

Fang Yue was a traditional woman in both thought and action. Despite enduring two marriages, she still longed for a romantic and perfect love and dreamed of building a warm and happy family and raising children.

Such a woman was destined to be tenacious in dealing with her feelings.

Hearing Fang Yue’s tearful pleas, Su Chengyu’s heart softened, and with a sigh, he said, "Avoiding you is for your own good, why do you insist on persisting?"

Su Chengyu turned around, holding the umbrella above Fang Yue’s head. At this moment, Fang Yue looked somewhat disheveled, with tears and rain blending together and sliding down her cheeks.

"I can’t let you go, Su Cheng. I like you, really like you! I’ve tried countless times to let go, to forget, but no matter how hard I try, the more I want to forget, the more engraved it is in my heart, the more I want to let go, the more it torments me."

Fang Yue wiped the rainwater from her face with the back of her hand and in her beautiful eyes, there was a trace of deep affection and resentment.

"Why are you out here alone this late at night?" Su Chengyu asked.

"I thought I saw you on the street last time, but I didn’t manage to follow you, so I remembered this car. When I passed by here and saw this car parked by the side of the road, I waited by the car. Although I wasn’t sure if this was your car, I didn’t want to give up, and foolishly waited."

Fang Yue said, biting her lip.

Su Chengyu is not an unsympathetic person. He is somewhat fond of Fang Yue, and at this moment, his heart was stirred uncontrollably.

"Come on, I’ll take you home." Su Chengyu said.

"No! I don’t want to go home, I risked so much to finally find you, I don’t want to leave you, Su Cheng, I want to be with you, don’t leave me, don’t hide from me anymore." Fang Yue threw herself into Su Chengyu’s arms, holding on tightly and not letting go.

Without his control, Su Chengyu’s other hand slowly raised, holding Fang Yue in his arms.

Fang Yue released her hold, standing on her tiptoes, lifted her head to look at the man in front of her, then closed her eyes and willingly offered a kiss. Su Chengyu let the umbrella in his hand fall to the ground, his hand folded around Fang Yue, fervently returning the kiss.

The rain from the heavens became heavier, turning the two into drenched figures, but lost in their embrace and passionate kiss, they were forgetful of their surroundings. At this moment, there was only each other.

After a long while, they finally separated. Fang Yue once again fell into Su Chengyu’s arms, savoring the happiness and satisfaction of this moment.

"Let’s move elsewhere. The rain won’t stop anytime soon." Su Chengyu whispered in Fang Yue’s ear.

"Mmm..." Fang Yue softly replied.

Hand in hand, soaked to the bone, Su Chengyu and Fang Yue entered a hotel and booked a room.

"You should take a warm bath quickly to prevent catching a cold." Su Chengyu said.

"You’re not going to slip away while I’m bathing, are you?" Fang Yue asked anxiously.

"Should we just bathe together?" Su Chengyu suggested.

"No way! Pervert! I warn you, if you dare to leave quietly, then I... I..." Fang Yue threatened, pretending to be fierce.

"Then what will you do?" Su Chengyu asked, smiling.

"I will jump from here and commit suicide out of unrequited love!" Fang Yue announced, her face firm and determined.

"Why is Miss Fang, who has lived so many years, still playing with this romantic suicide stunt? How immature can you be!" Su Chengyu chided.

Fang Yue defiantly put her hands on her hips and said, "I just enjoy being this way."

"Go shower now. Don’t worry, I won’t leave."

Su Chengyu tweaked Fang Yue’s nose. Seeing him take off his coat, Fang Yue quickly turned around and headed into the bathroom.

Using a magic spell, Su Chengyu made the soaked clothes of both of them dry instantly. He then sat on the couch to message Gu Ying to take the child to bed earlier as he would be coming home late.

After her bath, Fang Yue, wrapped in a towel, walked out to see Su Chengyu still there, feeling relieved.

Definitely the quickest bath she’d ever taken in her life, she was afraid when she came out Su Chengyu would be gone.

"Do... do you want to take a shower too?" Fang Yue asked.

Su Chengyu stared intensely at Fang Yue, who felt uncomfortable under his gaze and turned her head away, demanding, "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing, come here, I’ll help you dry your hair."

Fang Yue obediently walked over, letting Su Chengyu help dry her damp long hair, but her mind was occupied with all sorts of chaotic thoughts.

"Su Cheng, do you always look down on me for being married before and having a bad reputation as a widow?" Fang Yue suddenly asked.

"No."

"Then why have you always been avoiding me?" Fang Yue asked, dissatisfied.

"I don’t think I’m good enough for you." Su Chengyu said, laughing.

"Bah! I don’t believe a word you say." Fang Yue snorted.

Putting away the hairdryer, Su Chengyu turned to her with a serious expression. "I’m not as good as you think, I’m fickle, surrounded by countless women. And you are someone who longs for perfect love, which is something I can’t give you."

Fang Yue straightened her hair without speaking. Su Chengyu got up, "That’s all that needed to be said, I’ll be leaving."

Fang Yue hastily stood up to chase after him, once again embracing him from behind.

"You’re not allowed to leave! I don’t want you to go!" Fang Yue clung tightly to Su Chengyu’s back.

Su Chengyu didn’t make a sound, allowing Fang Yue to hold him.

"I know that many people like you, and everyone is selfish when it comes to love. During this time, I’ve thought a lot and been very conflicted and in pain. I really don’t know what to do."

Once again, Su Chengyu turned around and gently embraced Fang Yue, who, in turn, offered her passionate kiss. The towel wrapped around her body slowly slipped off.

A rosy blush spread over Fang Yue’s cheeks, her eyes as radiant as the ripples upon a spring pool, compelling one to cherish her.

Su Chengyu scooped Fang Yue into his arms and carried her into the bedroom, placing her on the soft, large bed. She wrapped her arms around Su Cheng’s neck, the rosy hue now spreading downwards from her neck.

Looking at Fang Yue, Su Chengyu thought...she was truly beautiful.

Meanwhile, Fang Yue tilted her head slightly to one side, her eyes tightly shut and her eyelashes faintly trembling depicting the complex emotions within her heart.

Bending over, Su Chengyu kissed Fang Yue’s cheeks, neck, collarbone, and continued downward.

Fang Yue suddenly withdrew, one hand lightly pushing Su Chengyu away.

"No! It will harm you if we do this. I can’t..." Fang Yue recalled the fact that she was still under the influence of the witchcraft spell and had no choice but to refuse Su Chengyu forcefully.

This had been Fang Yue’s greatest struggle: to lift the witchcraft spell required her to have a ’dual cultivation’ with Su Chengyu. But how could she engage in such an activity with a man she didn’t even like?

Her feelings for Su Chengyu went beyond simple dislike, bordering on revulsion!

But if she didn’t lift the witchcraft spell, she knew she could never be a complete woman.

The inner struggle within Fang Yue was both painful and tortuous.
