"What are you talking nonsense about? He’s my student!" Xia Ruolan angrily explained.

"Heh... a student, huh? So, you’ve stooped so low as to seduce your own students now, Xia Ruolan. You’re quite the adventurer!"

Li Wanpeng didn’t believe Xia Ruolan at all. Su Chengyu said, "There’s nothing inappropriate between Teacher Xia and me. Please don’t misunderstand."

"Shut the hell up! You dare to sleep with my wife, you’re asking for death!"

Drunk and emboldened by alcohol, Li Wanpeng picked up a flowerpot and threw it at Su Chengyu. Su Chengyu sidestepped, letting the pot smash on the floor.

Li Wanpeng charged into the kitchen, came out with a cleaver, and made to hack at Su Chengyu, scaring Xia Ruolan into trying to stop him.

"Don’t act rashly. He really is my student. Please stop slandering me. I, Xia Ruolan, would never do such a thing!"

Xia Ruolan tugged at Li Wanpeng. Li Wanpeng turned around and harshly slapped her.

"You treacherous woman! You dare to cheat on me, I’ll kill you!"

After slapping her once, Li Wanpeng, still not satisfied, kicked Xia Ruolan in the stomach, knocking her to the ground.

Su Chengyu quickly rushed over to protect Xia Ruolan and said coldly to Li Wanpeng, "There’s nothing untoward between Teacher Xia and me. If you don’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do. If you’re angry, take it out on me, not her."

"The misunderstanding started because of me, of course I should interfere." said Su Chengyu.

"Fine! Then I’ll kill you first, you little bastard!"

Li Wanpeng swung his cleaver. Xia Ruolan, clutching her stomach in pain, screamed out a warning, "Watch out!"

Su Chengyu reached up and caught Li Wanpeng’s wrist. Being an average man, Li Wanpeng immediately felt pain, dropping the cleaver on the floor.

"Get the hell off me!" Li Wanpeng yelled.

"Watch your mouth."

Su Chengyu didn’t expect to cause such a misunderstanding. Indeed, it was hard for him to explain. He couldn’t just walk away, or Li Wanpeng would definitely attack Xia Ruolan.

With no prior experience in handling such situations, Su Chengyu didn’t know what to do.

Su Chengyu released his grip and gave Li Wanpeng a light shove. In anger, Li Wanpeng stumbled back a few steps and said, "Xia Ruolan, do you have no shame, seducing your student?"

"I did not! Li Wanpeng, don’t play the victim. I know all about your roguish ways outside. I, Xia Ruolan, have never wronged you, and I am innocent. What about you? Do you have any shame?"

Xia Ruolan wasn’t going to endure Li Wanpeng’s slander. She exposed his philandering.

Li Wanpeng smirked, "Yes, I have a mistress. But don’t blame me, blame yourself for not being able to have kids. In that case, I have no choice but to get another woman to give me kids. Even a chicken I keep can lay eggs. What about you? You’re not even worth a hen. I haven’t thrown you out yet, and that’s already doing you a favor!"

Upon hearing Li Wanpeng’s words, Su Chengyu was enraged. What kind of man criticizes his wife like that?

"I’ve put a lot into this family over the years. I’m not going to leave with nothing just to satisfy you. I won’t take half of your wealth, but I won’t give up what I’m rightfully entitled to."

Xia Ruolan didn’t give in either, a decision Su Chengyu felt she was right to make. Li Wanpeng was a jerk, blaming Teacher Xia for not being able to have children but refusing to divorce and split the wealth with her, opting instead to keep a mistress and have children outside.

Such a calculating man really didn’t deserve Teacher Xia, and he certainly shouldn’t be let off easily!

"Fine! Then we won’t divorce. But I’ll warn you, as long as we’re not divorced, you’re my wife. If you dare cheat on me, you’ll regret it."

Li Wanpeng coldly said.

Xia Ruolan was furious, gritting her teeth, "I must have been blind to have married such a shameless man like you."

Su Chengyu really empathized with Teacher Xia, but after all, this was a matter between a couple, and he had no right to interfere.

"Listen, kid, if you dare touch my wife, I’ll get someone to kill you! I, Li Wanpeng, always do what I say. Beware, or you might not even know how you end up dead one day."

Just before Su Chengyu left, Li Wanpeng couldn’t resist threatening him again.

Su Chengyu ignored Li Wanpeng’s threats and walked out the door.

Once Su Chengyu was gone, Li Wanpeng undressed, unbuckled his belt, and advanced towards Xia Ruolan.

"What are you doing?" Xia Ruolan backed away.

"You’re my wife. Me sleeping with you is only right. What? Now that you’ve slept with that pretty boy, can your husband no longer touch you?" Li Wanpeng sneered.

"You disgust me! For the last time, there’s nothing between him and me." Xia Ruolan fumed.

"Alright, alright! I believe you’re innocent. That doesn’t stop us from having sex though. Honestly, the women outside, while they are younger than you and offer more variety, when it comes to physique and looks, they really can’t compare to you. If only you could bear me a child or two, I wouldn’t need to keep other women outside."

Looking at Xia Ruolan who had just come out of the shower, Li Wanpeng couldn’t suppress his lust.

Come to think of it, it had been a long time since he had been intimate with Xia Ruolan.
