Chapter 1564: Chapter 609: Vast Space

Everyone moved toward the cave on the cliff ahead. Although they knew they were still far away from the Destiny Organization, they instinctively bent over, adopting a cautious posture. Clearly, the mysterious Destiny Organization had placed immense pressure on them, making everyone regard themselves as weaker when facing the organization.

Within just a few seconds, they stood below the cave. The cave was over twenty meters above the ground, with no direct connection to the surface. To enter the cave, they had to climb up from below. Looking upward, they saw that the entrance appeared narrow and irregular, barely able to accommodate an adult bending over to squeeze through. It was clearly a naturally formed cave. The entrance was overgrown with weeds, with no trace of human or beast entry or exit.

After observing the cave closely, everyone turned their suspicious gaze toward Tripiṭaka. This place hardly seemed like the sole passage for the Destiny Organization to access its Lair. Instead, it resembled a primitive, untouched cave.

Tripiṭaka gave an embarrassed laugh and said, "Everyone, we all know the strength of the famous detective from The United States, Gary Zach. Since he claims this is the entrance to the Destiny Organization’s Lair, then it must be the real entrance. Although I personally do not understand why the entrance is so desolate, the cave must lead to the Lair of the Destiny Organization."

Unfortunately, the visual evidence left the group unconvinced by Tripiṭaka’s claims. He laughed awkwardly and took the lead, leaping toward the cave and bending over to squeeze inside. Beast followed suit, also crawling into the cave. With the two of them leading the way, the others hesitated briefly, clenched their teeth, and scrambled in after them.

Although narrow, the cave allowed everyone to just barely squeeze through. But when it came to Ancestral Land, his massive physique, compounded by the metal armor on his body, made it nearly impossible for him to fit through the entrance. However, Ancestral Land had compelling reasons to press forward. With sheer determination, he wriggled like a worm at the entrance and astonishingly managed to squeeze himself inside.

Once inside, the darkness deepened. Even though the group could see fairly well in the night, their vision was hardly adequate within the cave. Fortunately, only the entrance was narrow; as they ventured deeper, the cave widened, and eventually, even Ancestral Land was able to stand upright within.

Regrettably, the tunnel did not lead directly underground as they had imagined, but instead stretched straight ahead. Along the way, they found no traces of human activity, and intriguingly, encountered numerous spider webs. How these spiders managed to survive at such a high altitude remained an enigma...

Though Tripiṭaka was the leader, it was his first time exploring the cave as well. Despite finding the environment markedly different from his expectations, he was forced to press on, continually using his staff to sweep aside the obstructive spider webs.

Yan Fei followed behind Captain China, advancing cautiously. After walking in the cave for some time, he immediately activated the drones lurking in the Kenya Eastern Coastal Trench. The drones quickly ascended, heading toward Mount Kilimanjaro. Meanwhile, satellites from Dream Island began congregating in space to conduct all-around surveillance of their location.

Since entering the cave, Yan Fei had been on edge, with a growing sense of unease that he struggled to suppress. He knew better than to underestimate the capabilities of the Destiny Organization. Even though they hadn’t been detected during infiltration, entering the cave must have triggered the organization’s awareness. If the Destiny Organization were truly slow to react, it would struggle to change human history—or even ensure its very survival.

To Yan Fei, their mission was undoubtedly exposed. He needed to focus on ensuring his own safety, which was why he deployed his Drone Avatar. Even if discovered by the Destiny Organization, there was no alternative—he still had unfulfilled desires, and until those were realized, he couldn’t afford to die.

Compared to Yan Fei’s stealthy drones, the B-1 "Lancer" strategic bombers at the Diego Garcia Island Air Force Base in the Indian Ocean were already taxiing on the runway, poised for takeoff. With the Destiny Organization’s intelligence-gathering abilities, they must have noticed the U.S. strategic bombers, rendering concerns about Yan Fei’s drones being discovered inconsequential. If confidentiality truly was compromised, it would be the U.S.’s strategic bombers, not Yan Fei’s drones...

After advancing several hundred meters, they discovered that the passage began twisting and tilting downward. Gradual traces of heat emerged in the air. Though faint, the heat had enabled wild grasses to tenaciously grow at an altitude of 5,900 meters. Upon detecting the thermal presence, they realized Yan Fei’s earlier deduction was correct—the cave likely extended deep underground, with this heat rising from below.

As the tunnel curled and stretched downward, the path that had been widening began to narrow again. After the group endured squeezing through the constricted section, the space suddenly opened up. Not only did the passageway expand significantly, but the ground also became smooth and level, allowing them to move freely.

They then noticed something peculiar. Despite trekking several kilometers into the cave, they hadn’t encountered a single fork or junction. There was no fear of getting lost. However, this lack of branching paths was highly abnormal for a natural cave. Typically, natural caves would have at least some side routes, yet this one had none. Moreover, the passage was remarkably accessible, requiring no additional effort to clear or forge a route...
