Chapter 753 - 753 739 Mother Monkey • I Like
Chapter 753: Chapter 739: Mother Monkey • I Like Chapter 753: Chapter 739: Mother Monkey • I Like “What do we do now?” Xuan Wu began to worry.
“There’s nothing we can do. They must have taken them to their stronghold. There’s almost no chance of saving them.” Guan Yi said. Right now, the priority is the Wolf King’s Ring. Who would risk their lives to invade their stronghold, especially when the Dragon Slaying Clan is still lurking behind?
Xuan Wu felt somewhat helpless and said, “We really didn’t know about this. If we had known, we wouldn’t have brought the female disciples here.”
Guan Yi replied, “Understandable. After all, you’ve been in the Demon Valley for so many years, it’s reasonable not to know the affairs of Kunlun Mountain.”
Xuan Wu then looked at Xuan Wen and said, “Brother, we should save them.”
Guo Mingyu looked at them, but didn’t say anything. At this moment, with the Dragon Slaying Clan at their backs and the demons on either side, reaching the fourth circle and obtaining the Wolf King’s Ring was of utmost importance.
Xuan Wu said, “Brother, there are over thirty female disciples there.”
“This is the second circle of Kunlun Mountain, and we’re unfamiliar with the area. You saw the previous battle. The power of the Demon God is immense.” said Guan Yi.
“But doesn’t that mean they’ll be stuck here forever? We can’t just abandon them.” Xuan Wu was getting emotional.
Guo Mingyu chimed in, “I worry that you’ll all end up getting trapped inside, unable to escape.”
Xuan Wu was at a loss for words upon hearing this.
Xuan Wen felt deeply upset as well. He turned to Xuan Lin and asked, “What about Xuan Si?”
“It’s my fault. That monster was too strong, especially with his iron hammer. He knocked me flying in a few blows,” Xuan Lin replied. “After I passed out, I don’t know what happened.”
An injured disciple responded, “Xuan Si and Xuan Hong, along with about a dozen disciples, fled into the forest. After the monster knocked Xuan Lin away, he chased after them. We don’t know whether they’ve been captured.”
Upon hearing this, Xuan Wen fell silent for a moment, then calmed down and said, “Xuan Lin, select thirty disciples for me. Now, quickly.”
“Brother, what are you planning to do?” Xuan Wu asked.
Xuan Wen shook his head, even though Xuan Wu already knew the answer.
At that moment, a messenger arrived to report the loss of over fifty men, and many injuries.
Xuan Wen approached Guo Mingyu, knowing what he was now contemplating. Indeed, nothing was more important than the Wolf King’s Ring. However, he could not ignore Xuan Si and the others, or abandon the captured female disciples. He knew that the chance was slim, but he had to try. Otherwise, he would regret it for the rest of his life.
“Senior Brother Guo, I know that the Wolf King’s Ring is crucial right now, without it, the world is doomed. So, the Wolf King’s Ring is truly our priority.” Xuan Wen called over Xuan Wu and said, “Xuan Wu, take our people and follow Senior Brother Guo to the fourth circle.”
Xuan Wu began to guess Xuan Wen’s intention and said, “No, you should lead them. I’ll go back to find the others, I’m sure I can find a way to save them.”
However, Xuan Wen couldn’t entrust this mission to Xuan Wu, who is known for his impulsive nature. Smiling, he said, “Junior Brother, please listen to me. I am your leader, you should listen to me. Take our people and follow Senior Brother Guo to the fourth circle.”
Guo Mingyu interjected, “With just you and about thirty disciples going to find Xuan Si and rescue your female disciples, I fear it will be challenging.”
At that point, Xuan Wen just wanted to clear his conscience and said, “I know. I wouldn’t want our situation to delay the mission. I’ll be careful with the thirty-odd disciples. It may not sound like much, but I have to find them. You don’t have to worry.”
Guo Mingyu looked at them but didn’t know what else to say. He could empathize with their situation.
Xuan Wen added, “Senior Brother Guo, I’ll have to trouble you with leading our people. Thank you.”
Guo Mingyu was unable to respond.
“I can’t just abandon them,” Xuan Wen was sure he couldn’t trust Xuan Wu with this task. He could only handle it himself. On one side, the Xuan Clan’s people were entrusted to Xuan Wu. However, he felt at ease knowing Xuan Wu would be with Guo Mingyu. “Brother, I won’t waste any more time talking. Stay with Guo Mingyu and think carefully about each situation. Never get separated! Our people are in your hands now.”
While talking, he looked at the wounded disciples who had just survived a great battle.
Xuan Wu was also moved.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be very careful. If there’s a chance, I will save them. You don’t have to worry about me, just keep moving forward. If I can truly find Xuan Si, and if we can save our people, I will continue to the fourth circle and find you.”
Xuan Wu wanted to say something, but he couldn’t find the words. He understood why Xuan Wen insisted on going himself. He knew himself to be impulsive and didn’t believe that he could pull this off.
“We’re down to these few people. I’m counting on you to look after them.”
Upon hearing this, Xuan Wu nodded, deeply moved.
Xuan Wen smiled, “It’s not as bad as it seems. It will get better.” He looked at the disciples who had just escaped death, some of them too stunned to speak.
Nevertheless, he couldn’t help but say, “Everyone, take care of yourselves. It’ll be okay. After I find them, I’ll come find you.”
Xuan Wu froze up a bit, how could he not know the dangers that lay ahead of them? Thirty-odd people hardly made a difference. As evidenced from their recent encounter, the fight was earth-shattering. Should they meet with the minions of the Demon God again, they wouldn’t stand a chance for too long.
Xuan Wen, wearing a faint smile, looked over at him and said, “Ah, don’t you trust me?”
In order to reassure his senior brother, Xuan Wu replied, “You can rest assured, I’ll work well with Senior Brother Guo, taking good care of our brothers.”
Xuan Lin came running over with thirty disciples. He knew what Xuan Wen was about to do.
Xuan Wen said, “Since you’re injured, you shouldn’t participate.”
After hearing this, Xuan Lin replied, “Hehe, it’s just a fall, I’m really fine, don’t worry.”
Though Xuan Wu couldn’t participate, he knew Xuan Lin was rather skilled. He suggested, “Senior brother, let Xuan Lin go with you.” It seemed that he would be slightly more reassured by this.
Xuan Wen nodded agreeably. He and Xuan Lin soon headed off in the direction of the forest.
Ye Chen, leading Li Mo and a group of twenty-odd disciples, had already entered the second ring. They were attempting to locate lost disciples from the New City Sect. However, the terrain here had become steeper, the woods denser, and predators frequently attacked from above. They had to be vigilant, but they didn’t want to get entangled with these predators!
The problem wasn’t their fear of the predators, rather, it was the worry of drawing attention from other predators and wasting time.
They could only move onwards towards the entrance of the energy source which seemed close, but in actuality was quite far.
Li Mo handed over some food to Ye Chen, taking a look around, no one knew where they were. The only thing they knew was that they had entered the second ring.
Li Mo murmured, “Those people from the Demon God, they shouldn’t be targeting us, right?”
“You’re not a woman, unless they have a taste for men.” Ye Chen took the food from him.
“Right, we’re not women, what good would they see in us?”
“Hurry and wake up the disciples. After eating, we’ll continue onward. We won’t go looking for the others. We can’t waste any more time here, perhaps they’re moving faster than we are.” Ye Chen hadn’t heard any fighting nearby these past couple days, this lack of combat suggested they were safe.
“Yeah, Can Mo and Ling Bo, they’re both calm and careful, they would take good care of our people.”
“That’s the only hope we can hang onto. There’s no other way.”
“Damn that Zun Yu, he’s so wicked, he intentionally directed those mad dogs to bite at us!”
Ye Chen faintly laughed, saying, “The fact that they didn’t come to bite us is already very good.”
The people of the Third Demon definitely hated the New City Sect through and through.
“Ah, we can’t delay any longer. Who would’ve thought that the Demon and Evil realms would join forces.” Ye Chen continued, “Hurry up and let everyone eat. In one hour, we’ll leave this place. I don’t want to waste any more time here. This godforsaken place reeks, it’s mosquito-riddled, and very uncomfortable.”
Li Mo quickly went down and woke everyone up, distributing the food.
Suddenly, the sound of battle came from the front.
The noise of combat made Ye Chen cautious; he contemplated if it might be Can Mo or Ling Bo, he instantly stood up and called, “Li Mo.”
Li Mo understood, and said, “Wake up, everyone.”
Ye Chen stood up, continually wondering in his heart and fearing that something had happened to them. He led the twenty-odd disciples towards where the sound of battle was coming from.
Shen Shang, who had been cold and lonely all along, like a monster that hadn’t eaten meat for a month, eyed Xuan Si and his group. They kept the chase going for four hours.
Xuan Si and Xuan Hong, along with twenty-odd people, including a dozen or so female disciples, had escaped. These women were those the inhuman beings aimed at capturing.
They rushed around in the unfamiliar forest for four hours like headless chickens, running around as long as they had a direction to head in. Their lives were of utmost importance.
Shen Shang, tailed by thirty-odd giant men, kept up the pursuit until he was out of breath. He was astonished and called out, “These little ladies can really run.” He had the queen in mind; there was no way he could abandon the chase.
“They’re all like female monkeys, of course they can run!” one of his subordinates said.
The disciples of the Xuan Clan, who lived in the woods of Demon Valley, may not have strong martial arts skills, but they were all very fast runners.
“Good, female monkeys, I like it.” Shen Shang was led about in confusion and grumbled, “Damn it, where on earth are they leading us?” There was no way he was giving up.
One of the men behind Shen Shang, who coveted the senior matron amongst his family, said, “It looks like they’ve entered a dead end.”
