The doors of the Spirit-gathering Hall were now closed.

Like toxic streams or octopus tentacles, they reached out to grab them.

With a quick release from Ye Chen, several rays of light fired off, forcing the tentacles to retreat.

The energy within the vortex seemed to come alive, discerning their intentions and trying to hinder them.

It released a wave of tentacles, surrounding them like a formidable army.

Ye Chen hastily took out the Demonic Pearl that Guo Mingyu had lent him and released a wave of energy, creating a shockwave that forced the energy tentacles to retreat.

He was aware, however, that the energy would soon regroup and attack again.

Guan Yi said, “Ye Chen, you focus on rescuing the Red Demonic Spirit. We’ll deal with these.”

Fang Ziren pulled out the Heavenly Pearl borrowed from the Immortal City and said, “Don’t worry, we’ll cover your back.”

Ye Chen nodded and said, “I’m counting on you. Don’t let those tentacles ensnare you. If they do, you won’t be able to get out. That’s how the Red Demonic Spirit got pulled in.”

Guan Yi and Fang Ziren both nodded.

Using the Heavenly Pearl in tandem, they set up a protective circle to guard against the incoming demonic grabs.

Catching it, Ye Chen struck out, pushing back the pursuing energy tendrils. He released another palm strike, breaking through the energy wall in front of Guan Yi. This also repelled the incoming tendrils. Raising a call, he instructed everyone to hurriedly leave.
