Su Hong knew that Ye Chen didn’t want to bring up certain matters because he wasn’t prepared. These past few days, he had been considering whether to speak up. But he thought it would be best not to say anything now, given the current issues at hand. He decided to put off the discussion for a while, after defeating the Dragon Slaying Clan.

“I heard from Sect Leader Fang that you practice the martial arts of the Dragon Slaying Clan.” Su Hong said.

Ye Chen took off the Jade Ring and glanced at Su Hong, who instantly understood.

“Was it your mother who left this for you?” He recognized the Jade Ring.

“Didn’t you leave it for me?” Ye Chen rebutted.

“Indeed, you learned martial arts from it.”

Ye Chen nodded.

“There’s still some energy in it.”

“I know.” For all these years, this Jade Ring was the reason why he has managed to turn danger into safety. Without it, Ye Chen didn’t know how many times he would have died. Perhaps the only thing that Su Hong did right was to leave this Jade Ring for his protection.

Jiang Zhuge and Li Mo came back, both somewhat taken aback by Su Hong’s presence.

Jiang Zhuge said, “We hope we’re not interrupting you.”

“So fast?”

“Yes, with our New City Sect out of the picture, and Sky Domain City under their control, there aren’t any forces left in the Wastelands that can challenge them, so it’s naturally quicker.”

Li Mo said, “When they enter the Central Plains, Slaughter Saint and Jing Po will definitely take action.”

Jiang Zhuge added, “Indeed, they all generally operate in this manner – the Zen Master and his men are the main concern. We have no idea where they have gone.”

“Any news from the Demon Domain folks?” asked Ye Chen.

Li Mo added, “Their existence is always a threat.”

Ye Chen asked again, “How are our men faring in Crane City?”

“The Dragon Slaying Clan is not moving, and there’s no need for us to make a move either. We can only wait,” replied Jiang Zhuge.

“I always have a chill at the back of my mind, we can’t always rely on the Demon Domain folks’ plans,” said Li Mo.

Ye Chen joked, “Well, you can think of a better plan then.”

“Obviously, we have to rely on you, our Sect Leader.”

“That’s pretty much the same as not saying anything.” Ye Chen stood up, saying, “Let’s not waste our breaths over this. Talking to you is pretty much like talking to a wall.”

Jiang Zhuge chuckled at his words.

Ye Chen went back to his room.

Yu Yun was daydreaming in the yard.

As soon as Jiang Shizi entered, she asked, “Aren’t you going to look for Ye Chen? Or did he find someone else he likes?”

Yu Yun ignored her.

“Probably found someone else, that flirt,” said Jiang Shizi.

“Aren’t you annoying?”

“He’s ignoring you, isn’t he?” Jiang Shizi teased again: “In a couple of days, he might even leave.”

“Leave? Leave for what?” Yu Yun anxiously asked.

“Hehe, many people are planning on leaving.”

“Where to? I thought we were settling the fight here at the Immortal City Sect?”

“It’s not certain yet.”

“Not certain?”

“Many of the small sect disciples from the Demon Domain will stay in Immortal City, but whether the New City Sect will stay is hard to say. Because of Ye Chen’s relationship with Su Hong, he might not want to stay in Immortal City.”

“Where did you hear all of this?” asked Yu Yun curiously.

“From the people at the meeting,” replied Jiang Shizi.

“How is that possible? How could these matters be discussed at the meeting?”

Jiang Shizi explained, “After Ye Chen made a scene at your sister’s wedding, there’s all kinds of talk in Immortal City. Many people in the Demon Domain already knew about it. Given Ye Chen’s character, he probably didn’t want to hear about it, nor did he wish to be involved with the people of Immortal City.”

“Ye Chen’s mind is entirely focused on dealing with the emerging Dragon Slaying Clan now, leaving him no time to take care of this,”

“The Sect Leader is not bad, he thought deeply about the situation back then. Ye Xue chose to leave, his initial intention was for Ye Chen to go to the Qingxuan Sect. He had meant well, it would’ve been worse if Ye Chen had stayed in Immortal City. He would’ve suffered and faced allegations, but he didn’t expect what happened next.”

Yu Qing also looked over, guessing a bit of the situation.

Luo Rui chuckled.

Shizi remarked, “It’s rare for our Yu Yun to be this quiet.”

Naturally, Yu Qing knew how mischievous her younger sister usually was. Seeing her so quiet now was really unusual for her.

Shizi said, “Bi Chun, get us something to eat.”

Bi Chun acknowledged and quickly went off.

“It’s quite dull today,” said Shizi.

“Yes, it is,” replied Yu Qing.

“I can’t believe you’re married now. It still hasn’t sunk in for me.”

“Hasn’t it hit you yet?”

“Yes, it feels like I had a dream, and when I woke up, you were married. It still doesn’t feel real.”
