Chapter 1334 - 1334 1320 Not Dead

Chapter 1334: Chapter 1320: Not Dead Chapter 1334: Chapter 1320: Not Dead Meng Xiuluo saw that the Longhun had almost escaped in the distance but still felt uneasy and shouted, “Throw all our gunpowder, we need to retreat!”

Seeing that girl, Su Zhanze was so furious he was dumbfounded. It had been hard enough to surround the Longhun, and now she had ruined it. He decided to eliminate them first, capture or not, they had to be destroyed.

The two ships suddenly faced off against Meng Xiuluo’s vessel.

They were not as quick to maneuver, and at that moment, Su Zhanze’s eyes bulged like coconuts.

The Dragon Slayer Sword absorbed a bolt of lightning and released it.

Xiang Yi said, “That dog has really gone mad, we need to hurry up and leave, or we won’t be able to escape.”

Ye Chen didn’t know what had happened outside, but the ship’s rocking grew more and more violent, it felt as if it were surrounded by a sphere of lightning.

Suddenly, a lightning sphere burst through one side of the ship’s boards, right at the side of the dungeon, breaking through that very plank.

It nearly blew the two of them away.

Ye Chen ran over, stuck his head out, and saw the two ships approaching. Su Zhanze, like a proud son of the wind, seemed like a shaman summoning rain, drawing in lightning bolts and hurtling towards them.

Ye Chen’s eyes turned green, he couldn’t understand why that girl had provoked Su Zhanze, or why he was so angry, as if he wanted to swallow the ship whole.

“Let’s go; let’s get out,” said Ye Chen, pointing at the shattered dungeon, intending to crawl out through the hole.

“What are you two doing?” a prisoner in the dungeon yelled.

“What else? Of course, we’re escaping! Do you think we’re dumb enough to just sit here waiting to die?”

Rainwater kept flying in.

The two prisoners were jumping up and down.

They tried to open the door and rush in, but before they could, Ye Chen had already taken Guo Yuyun along the ship’s boards, climbing up to the corridor.

By then, the deck above was swarming with people.

Two ships approached from this side, while this ship had already changed its course, clearly trying to flee, but those two ships seemed unwilling to give up.

Monsters kept lunging over, grabbing people and running as if they hadn’t eaten for months, like eagles snatching chicks, completely out of control.

Meng Xiuluo hadn’t expected Su Zhanze to be so furious, almost as if he was ready to devour someone, lunging like this.

He thought they were just bluffing and would turn back to chase Longhun, but it seemed they were determined to deal with them first.

Meng Xiuluo now needed to flee for his life, but for some reason, the ship’s speed decreased.

Xiang Yi ran over and said, “Water’s getting in below.”

“Can it be fixed?”

“It can be, but the ship will only be able to move slower.”

“How can we be so unlucky.”

Lightning bolts came one after another, blasting everything, turning the deck into a junkyard, full of wreckage.

Chen Yu said, “They wouldn’t dare catch up now; let’s turn around.” It seemed he was worried about Longhun escaping.

“Who are those two people on the deck?” Despite the darkness, he could vaguely make them out.

Guo Yuyun was waving and shouting, “Over here, it’s us.”

After a glance, Chen Yu said, “Seems like it’s Yu Yun and that brat.”

What was he doing on the Dragon Slaying Clan’s ship? It was clear that girl was signaling for help.

Chen Yu shook his head and said, “Could they have been captured?”

Su Zhanze didn’t speak.

Chen Yu asked again, “Should we go rescue them?”

Upon hearing this, Su Zhanze gritted his teeth and said, “I see them; send all our gunpowder over.”

“What?” Chen Yu was shocked, thinking he had misheard.

“Didn’t you hear me? I said I didn’t see them; sink the ship, do you hear me?” Unless that brat dies, Guo Yuqing will never stop thinking about him. It would be better if he died.

This time Chen Yu heard clearly and called out, “Did you hear that? That ship can’t move; sink it!”

Guo Yuyun still hoped for Su Zhanze to come over, she saw Su Zhanze, but he didn’t stop the Dragon Slayer Sword’s lightning, the assaults grew denser, as if he was doing it on purpose, and the fireballs intensified too.

Ye Chen shouted, “Did your Su Gege hear that or not?”

Guo Yuyun was stunned.

“He seems even more ruthless.”

Guo Yuyun felt the same.

“Stop calling him; he seems to want to sink the ship.”

Guo Yuyun pondered; he should be able to see them, so why was there no response?

“I think that guy might have seen me,” said Ye Chen.

“Seen you?”

“Yeah, he hates me, I know it. He wants to kill me, probably thinks that if I die, your sister will only be with him. He must be thinking that way.”

Guo Yuyun was at a loss for words.

“You don’t believe me, but everything I said is true. Su Zhanze, no matter how he changes, his mind will always be narrow and full of jealousy. I knew this when I was young, and it’s never changed.”

“Then why didn’t you act sooner?”

“I thought that by saving his life on Paper Kite Island, he would repay the favor.”

“What should we do now?”

“What else can we do? Unless your sister suddenly appears on this ship, but unfortunately, it’s you, not her. We’re just going to have to deal with it. I think we should quickly find a plank. When the ship sinks, it might still float for a while, so we wouldn’t drown immediately.”

“Damn, how did it come to this?”

“It would be strange if it hadn’t.”

“It’s all your fault, you’re the one who provoked him,” Guo Yuyun complained.

“Blame me? It’s not like that at all. I didn’t provoke him, nor did I try to develop feelings with your sister, so why does he hate me so much?”

Guo Yuyun glared at Ye Chen and said, “You must be particularly eager to flirt with my sister.”

“Exactly, so I told you to leave quickly, but you wouldn’t listen. You really had it coming,” Ye Chen said deliberately.

She kicked Ye Chen fiercely.

Lightning kept striking, and no one paid any attention to Ye Chen and the others anymore. They were like rats without a hideout, unsure of where to run in this moment.

Meng Xiuluo hadn’t expected trouble to arise at this time either.

Su Zhanze murmured with joy, “Trying to foil my plans, huh? I’ll see that you have no tomorrow.” Several bolts of lightning struck down.

Even if Ye Chen had acted, he wouldn’t have been a match for Su Zhanze. The last time on Paper Kite Island, his victory was a fluke, as he had the help of an Evil Spirit.

Who knows how many bolts of lightning came, there was a crackling sound, followed by fierce wind and torrential rain, and the ship was torn apart.

The rain kept pouring more heavily, and with the great sea breeze, it was unclear if it was a pillar or something else that was lost to sight in the darkness. Ye Chen desperately pulled Guo Yuyun up, then clung tightly to the pillar, holding on as if it was a lifeline against the strong wind.

As the ship sank, Su Zhanze turned back to continue the pursuit of Longhun.

Though Longhun’s ship had several holes, it wasn’t too difficult to get rid of Xiang Zi, especially in the pouring rain and the particularly dark sky.

The furious Su Zhanze caught up and, arriving on Xiang Zi’s ship, asked, “Where is Longhun?”

Xiang Zi, with his head lowered, said, “That guy is very cunning. He unleashed a wave of monsters against us. After we drove the monsters away, they disappeared.”

“Damn it, don’t you know they did it on purpose! I told you to watch them closely, did you take my words for a fart?” Su Zhanze shouted, “Their ship was already breaking, and you couldn’t even keep an eye on them.”

Xiang Zi was speechless.

Chen Yu murmured, “It’s a pity that it’s not light yet; otherwise, we could have sent a Winged Dragon to look for them.”

Su Zhanze, as if about to explode with rage, said, “Still looking for shit, they could be anywhere by now.”

Xiang Zi was even more silent, not daring to speak.

“Damn girl, why does she have to be such a troublemaker?” Su Zhanze kept complaining.

Finally, the rain seemed to heed his words, though it was unclear how long they had been floating on the sea, only the sound of whooshing was heard.

That was the sound of the waves eroding the beach, mixed with the whistling sea breeze brushing past one’s ears.

Wave after wave.

The hunger was unbearable, it woke him from starvation.

Opening his eyes, it was daylight. Where was this place? Had they reached land? It was too large to see across at a glance; if not land, then this island was quite substantial.

No, where was the girl?

Ye Chen confirmed he was alive and immediately remembered what happened before he lost consciousness—he and Guo Yuyun had been holding onto a pillar.

He looked around; the pillar was still on the sandy beach behind him. On the reef lay a woman in a light blue dress. Yu Yun was wearing a light blue dress. He hoped nothing had happened to her.

Ye Chen hastened his pace, running toward her. She was lying face down like a toad, her nape facing the sky.

He picked her up and shook her repeatedly, calling out, “Yun’er, wake up quickly.” Her body was still warm, and he placed his finger under her nose to confirm she was breathing.

A cough ensued, followed by a loud cry. She might have had a nightmare or been startled, her soul not fully back in place yet. She gave Ye Chen quite a scare.

She then sprang up, looking around wildly. It seemed that last night had terrified her, or else her face wouldn’t be filled with fright.

Realizing she was staring at Ye Chen, she said, “We’re not dead.”

“Right, not yet. You haven’t been possessed, have you?”

“You’re the one who’s possessed.”

“That’s good to hear. I thought you might have become possessed and lost your soul.”

“Where is this?”

“How would I know where this is? I’ve only just woken up myself.”

“We actually didn’t drown at sea.”

“Yeah, isn’t it a pity?”

Guo Yuyun was so excited she almost jumped up, but something at her back tripped her. Was it a corpse? She was startled and fell, scrambling to look back. It was the girl from that morning who had grabbed her, lying on the ground, pale as if she had died.
