“I think that burly guy really has his eyes on her.”

“It may seem foolish, but how can we just abandon someone? Hurry up and get ready, we’re going in.”

Pan Jianglong was awoken by the commotion, and Yin Qi ran over, reporting, “That scruffy kid followed us in, captured Silver Fox, and released the people from the cells.”

Pan Jianglong was shocked and exclaimed, “Damn Silver Fox, how could he be captured?”

Yin Qi replied, “He must have been on his way to fetch people from the dungeon and ran into that scruffy kid, who managed to overpower and capture him. Now, they’re using Silver Fox to coerce our people, who dare not refuse them passage.”

Suddenly, a surge of energy came flying from the right side of the woods, and Ye Chen had no choice but to engage. As he did, a rope shot out from the left, capturing Silver Fox like a claw. Ye Chen attempted to grab Silver Fox back, but he was taken away by the rope. It was an oversight, but fortunately, they had made it out of the stronghold.

As the pursuers came, Ye Chen released several deadly moves, and a couple of Green Dragons soared out.

Those who had escaped from the dungeon saw Silver Fox being rescued and turned to flee towards the woods. Ye Chen quickly grabbed Ouyang Yue, no longer caring about anything else, and shouted, “Run now, or if you’re caught again, all you’ll be good for is to warm his bed.”

Ouyang Yue quickly followed.

Dozens of people rushed into the woods.

Ouyang Yue angrily scolded, “How could you let them rescue Silver Fox?”

“How was I to know they would make a move?” Ye Chen could only think about escaping.

Thankfully, under the cover of night, Ye Chen followed the group as they scattered in all directions; he had no idea how long they ran, but luckily, with so many people having escaped, over forty, capturing them all back wouldn’t be easy. Ye Chen’s plan was right.

Unaware of the time, they realized it was the third watch when they were certain no one was in pursuit, and they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

A young man returned to report, “Leader, we have shaken them off.”

The old man approached, greeted Ye Chen, and said, “My name is Shangguan Wudi, I am their leader.”

Ye Chen was taken aback; he had heard of someone called Shangguan Wudi who was a rival to Pan Jianglong. He hadn’t expected it to be this inconspicuous white-haired old man.
