Chapter 100: Is the Tyrant Boss interested with the Target
Fei Chuan arrived at his seat while his mind was still wondering about what that person said earlier.
He thought all the things happening to him were because of Bei Sangyun’s fault.
Bei Sangyun had tried to explain herself before but how could he believe and trust her words? He could not even tell whether she was being sincere or playing with him.
All he knew was Bei Sangyun was the source of his unhappiness.
She was the root cause of everything. She let her lackeys harass him to make his life in school hard to endure.
And he hated her for that.
But then someone appeared and told him that there was another person manipulating behind the scenes and he was used as a means of ruining Bei Sangyun.
For a moment, Fei Chuan was in disbelief. But afterwards, he just felt angry.
He was innocent and he was dragged into this fight without even knowing anything. He was the one who suffered the most.
But what made him angrier was Bei Sangyun had already known this however she did not mention any of this to him. She let him put the blame on her like a blind person.
Although she was at fault too, it was not right to put him in the dark. His anger should not only be directed at her.
How could he express his anger and take revenge on all those people who wronged him?
Fei Chuan’s face was dark as he sat in his seat.
"...Excuse me, Fei Chuan." Lin Sunji, who had been waiting for Fei Chuan since earlier, appeared before him.
She smiled sweetly at him as she asked politely, "Last time we aren’t able to talk. Can we talk for a second? I would not take too much of your time."
Fei Chuan’s eyes were dark. "Sure. The rooftop seems a good place for a talk."
Lin Sunji’s eyes brightened. She did not expect to get lucky right away.
As she have thought, Fei Chuan couldn’t talk to her because that bitch Bei Sangyun was always sticking close to him.
Fortunately, Bei Sangyun was nowhere in sight today.
Lin Sunji happily agreed. She followed after Fei Chuan.

Bei Sangyun entered the room and discovered Fei Chuan’s seat was empty. His notebook lay abandoned on the desk.
Where had he gone?
"Boss!" Bei Sangyun’s lackeys gathered around her seat, eager to greet her. "Have you had breakfast? Our bread runners are ready!"
However, Bei Sangyun’s attention remained fixed on the empty seat beside her. She didn’t answer their question and instead inquired, "Have you seen Fei Chuan?"
The lackeys exchanged knowing glances. Their eyes communicated volumes.
"We saw him leaving the room with Lin Sunji," one of the lackeys answered.
Bei Sangyun’s gaze shifted to where Lin Sunji had been seated.
Did she make her move already?
"Any idea where they went?"
Once again, the lackeys exchanged looks, their silent communication growing more complex.
"We’re not sure. We only saw Fei Chuan leading the way," another lackey replied.
Bei Sangyun nodded. She fell into deep thought as her lackeys once again glanced at each other
As they contemplated who should broach the topic and ask their boss about the rumor, Bei Sangyun abruptly stood up.
"I’ll find them. If they return while I’m gone, get in touch." She didn’t wait for their response and left.
The lackeys shared meaningful glances yet again, this time with more certainty.
It seemed the forum rumors held some truth. Was their boss interested in Fei Chuan?
Could it be that their boss had been bullying Fei Chuan because she liked him? After all, tyrants often expressed their affections in twisted ways.
The recent changes seemed to support this theory. They’d witnessed their boss sticking close to Fei Chuan. They’d seen her hovering around him while trying to gain his favor.
The sight was so bewildering that they hadn’t been able to confront their boss about it.
Earlier, they had been trying to find an opportunity to ask her if the rumors were true or not, but she left to find Fei Chuan after learning he had gone with some girl.
Did that alone confirm the truth?
"Well...could he become our second boss?" one lackey wondered aloud.
Another lackey lightly smacked him on the head.
"Nothing is certain yet. We must discover our boss’s true intentions. We can’t be sure yet," another lackey suggested.
"I hope our boss is just playing around. It’ll be really strange if he becomes our boss. We were making fun of him just a while ago. How can we serve two odd bosses?"
They all nodded in agreement.
If their boss indeed had really liked the target in ’that’ way, that would be another nightmare for them.
****
At the school’s rooftop, Lin Sunji began the conversation with a smile.
"I’ve actually wanted to invite you for dinner since our last meeting. I sent you gifts and letters, but you never responded. I understand why you haven’t contacted me, though. Bei Sangyun can be quite overbearing, can’t she?"
It only makes sense that no reply was given because Bei Sangyun had been the one controlling Fei Chuan.
"You don’t have to be afraid of her anymore. The Lin family is ashamed of her actions, and I deeply apologize for what she has done. To be honest, even though we come from the same family, our status and upbringing are very different. She is more brazen and rude because she grew up in a backwater village. She couldn’t rid herself of her origins."
Lin Sunji started to speak ill of Bei Sangyun and shifted the blame onto her.
She didn’t hesitate to reveal Bei Sangyun’s background. If she spreads this to someone who dislikes Bei Sangyun, the information will surely circulate.
Gossip about Bei Sangyun’s true origins would likely spread throughout the school. Lin Sunji could imagine how these rumors would further tarnish Bei Sangyun’s reputation. Students who once admired her would likely begin to look at her with disgust.
This was the outcome she desired.
Fei Chuan narrowed his eyes. His gaze grew colder as he listened to Lin Sunji’s claims.
"She has done these outrageous things to you and never once offered an apology. As her cousin, I couldn’t ignore it. I have to take responsibility too.
"I apologize on her behalf. I understand that an apology may not be enough. To show our sincerity, the Lin family has made a promise to you. We are committed to compensating you, upholding our family’s honor. If there’s anything you wish for, we’ll gladly make it happen."
Lin Sunji spoke with a smile. She was very confident that her sincere speech, beautiful smile, and the ’promise of the Lin family’ were temptations that no one could resist.
She expected that once he accepted her apology and compensation, her mission would be accomplished.
However, the response she expected did not come.
