His Spirit attribute was already high due to him being able to withstand the connections he made via the Hive Mind (S) skill and the Hive Mind had been passively improving his Spirit attribute. The more were connected via his Spirit attribute, the stronger his Spirit attribute would become.

Furthermore, he could use the gathered mental power of the Hive Mind. If he wanted to, he could strengthen his own mental power at the expense of the rest of the people connected via the Hive Mind becoming mentally retarded.

No matter what, it was already a proven and tested strategy to establish his own religion in the Otherworld as crusades were the easiest reason to start a war. Furthermore, as long as he was able to upgrade his S-rank Evolver sub-class into an SSS-rank class, it would become more powerful and wouldn’t have to be outclassed by the SSS-rank Freedom Freelancer by a large gap.

’Although the first choice would result in me having to give both the SSS-rank Class Rank Upgrade Crystal and SS-rank Random Otherworld-Based Sub-Class Card to Rian and Elyndra respectively, it’s not a loss as one might think.’

’Not only would I obtain my bro’s favorability, as Rian would feel indebted to me for giving him such a valuable item that he badly needed, but Elyndra would also even realize that the favor she gave to me wasn’t wasted on the wrong person as she’d know that I wasn’t an ungrateful person.’

’Although with her background, she could get a sub-class card to awaken a new sub-class. However, unlike an SSS-rank Abandon Mission Card that she’d get easily due to the Valtoria Empire valuing her safety, the SS-rank Random Otherworld-Based Sub-Class Card is a strategic resource even for a powerful empire as it could be given to the SS-rank Awakener powerhouses they have.’

’I don’t know how much power and weight Elyndra’s status as a Crown Princess has considering her sisters are still alive, as the resources will be split upon them even if she’d get the majority of it. Nevertheless, the Valtoria Empire has a strict throne succession trial as only the strongest and most capable could become the reigning Empress.’

’Because of that, Elyndra’s sisters would still get a decent amount of resources even if they weren’t the crown princess. The purpose of that was to let Elyndra become the target of her sisters’ envy and if she could withstand all their power and scheming, then she’d be fit to succeed the throne and become the Empress.’

’Otherwise, if she lost, then she’d be deprived of her crown princess status and the greatest consequence would be death if her sisters managed to successfully assassinate her.’

When Ainsworth thought of the worst-case scenario, he couldn’t help but lament the pressure Elyndra had to face as the Crown Princess of the Valtoria Empire.

The Valtoria Empire was a matriarchy and they valued having a capable and powerful heir to the throne. After all, if the Crown Princess became the Empress yet she couldn’t even deal with the schemes of the empire’s enemies, then the Valtoria Empire would be greatly weakened or even be in ruins.

No matter how powerful an empire was, there was never an eternal dynasty. Even the Eastern Dragon Empire in the east in its entire history had changed dynasties as the imperial family kept on getting replaced by a much stronger one.

One such example was twelve years ago when the Lin Clan became the first to have an SS-rank Awakener in the Eastern Dragon Empire so they immediately started a rebellion and succeeded in replacing the imperial family.

Because of that, having a powerful and capable heir was paramount. Otherwise, the Valtoria Empire would be severely damaged if it was in the hands of an incapable Empress.

The resources of the Valtoria Empire would be tilted to Elyndra but even then, she can’t absolutely get all she wanted and needed unless her sisters were out of the picture.

Getting sidetracked, as Ainsworth remembered Elyndra’s struggles beneath her cold facade, he couldn’t help but ponder, ’When I get powerful enough, should I assassinate all her sisters?’

’I don’t know if Elyndra has any good relations with one of her sisters so I can’t do it without informing her about it beforehand or else it would cause a misunderstanding. Nonetheless, it’s worth thinking about as the competition between her and her sisters was something that endangered her life as well as split up the resources she should have received.’

’If there’s only one princess, then Elyndra could easily obtain the support of other officials and powerhouses within the empire compared to when her sisters are alive.’

Ainsworth was unaware that his thoughtful planning was quite similar to Elyndra’s.

During the Unified Awakening Ceremony at Edenbridge High, Elyndra also thought of assassinating her sisters to secure the throne just so that she could be with Ainsworth without her sisters causing trouble due to his commoner background.

After all, Elyndra was aware of Ainsworth’s crush on her and their love wasn’t one-sided as she also had a crush on him. But due to their backgrounds and political reasons, Elyndra couldn’t be engaged to Ainsworth while Ainsworth felt that he didn’t have enough power to be worthy of Elyndra so he didn’t pursue her yet.

Because of that, even Ainsworth thought it was delusional to think Elyndra liked him just because of that kind gesture, he had assumed that she wanted to invest in him as a promising talent since he was one of the few who had awakened an SSS-rank Class.

However, he was unaware that he was the only awakener in Edenbridge High that Elyndra "invested" in. Even other awakeners with SSS-rank Classes like Dante didn’t gain any special treatment from her.

Even though she didn’t have that many SSS-rank Abandon Mission Cards as her sisters had also obtained a part of the share, so she only secretly gave one to Ainsworth—the man she cared about.

While Ainsworth was unaware of that, that didn’t affect his decision-making as after weighing the pros and cons, he immediately decided on his choice.
