Yang Yi pulled out a rudimentary map based on the terrain and stated somberly, "We first have to make sure we surround the enemy. The buildings near the target structure are scarce but the terrain is relatively complex. Although this favors the enemy’s escape, it also makes it convenient for us to lay mines. We will start laying mines around the target building, three hundred meters out."

Francois suddenly said, "Disperse everyone? If we’re all spread out, wouldn’t the encirclement be too riddled with holes?"

Yang Yi shook his head and then he said in a low voice, "First, we will set up a mine line to ensure the enemy cannot break out. After completing the first mine blockade line, we will move forward, continuously compressing the enemy space, until we’re detected by the enemy. Therefore, after the first blockade line is finished, our men will gather and form four combat clusters around the target building. In this way, no matter which direction the enemy tries to break through from, there will be at least two combat teams ready to meet them."

This tactic was Brain’s idea, nothing novel about it, yet it was the most reliable surrounding tactic. Dividing into four squad teams ensured a minimum numerical superiority and, combined with directional mines, it would be very difficult to break through the blockade.

There was nothing objectionable about the tactic. Francois nodded and said in a heavy voice, "After completing the encirclement, we will still need to launch an attack on the enemy. So, who will initiate the attack first?"

Yang Yi smiled and said, "Our own team, McGregor’s men as another team—your men are the most numerous, so you’ll split into two teams. As for who initiates the attack... "

Francois looked at Yang Yi expressionlessly.

The allocation of manpower went quickly; McGregor’s people made up one team on their own, Chris would follow McGregor’s men in action, and Paul was assigned to one of the Fearless Mercenary Corps’ teams.

The people following Fearless and McGregor had to be sharp, adaptable, and strong in combat because they would be responsible for the possibility of suddenly striking from behind. Therefore, the combat capability of this person had to be strong as well.

There was one team left, and the best candidate was Zhang Yong.

When the assignments were all set, Yang Yi whispered to Jethro, "Boss, you’d better stay here and wait for our message."

Jethro shook his head and said, "Are you joking? How could I not go at such a time?"
