Brian rarely gave such detailed instructions, but ever since they found the Black Devil’s trail, he had completely changed.

After ending the call with Hans, Brian gravely said, "Robot, how are things on your end?"

"Good, over."

"Are you sure?"

"Confirmed, over."

"Very well, then wait for the free cannon fodder to show up. Robot, take the lead and wait to hand over to Fearless. If you can smoothly take command, good; if not, decisively give up. We’d rather do it ourselves than leave a hidden danger by our side. As for me, I’m going to find McDonald. I have some preparations to make."

Looking for McDonald meant preparing for an explosion, but Yang Yi didn’t know the specifics of Brian’s plan and it wasn’t convenient for him to ask now.

Jethro finally answered on speakerphone.

"How are things at your end!"

"Now is your chance to turn the tides! Jethro! Show some courage. Gather our people. The battle isn’t over yet. Jethro’s voice became excited as he exclaimed, "Yes, boss, I understand! I will stand my ground! I will immediately gather forces to counterattack Big Ivan. You’re right, our losses are great, but this indeed is the opportunity we’ve been waiting for."

"Good! Now, do as you see fit. I won’t interfere; ask for men or money, just say the word! Jethro, I’m depending on you!"

Jethro ended the call, then looked at Yang Yi and said, "How about that, I got everything I wanted."

Yang Yi smiled, then spoke to Jethro, "What now, should we contact Francois?"

After a moment’s thought, Jethro nodded, "Yes, I’ll reach out to him and tell him our location. Francois is a mercenary, a very professional one at that. As long as he chooses to continue fighting, he will surely comply with his employer’s arrangements. There’s no need to keep up appearances now; just tell him what needs to be done."

After he spoke, Jethro began to make a call. Soon he said in a low voice into the phone, "Buddy, did you get the boss’s call?"

"Yes, I got it. Now that Ferdinand is dead, you’re in charge here. Since the boss trusts you, I have to trust you too. Tell me, what do you need me to do?"

"We need to meet up at least. I’m heading towards Hrehorievskoho Street, but I’ve shaken off my pursuers. So, we can meet somewhere else. We need to find a safe place to hide and plan our next move. What do you think?"

Jethro quickly hung up and said gravely, "As long as Francois finds us and doesn’t get attacked, he’ll trust me. He might suspect I killed Ferdinand, with or without evidence, that’s definitely something he’d think. But right now, he won’t care about that. His employer is Deyo, not Ferdinand."

"Corkdor has been captured, and he will definitely spill everything he knows—cooperation with Arseny, the CIA, our entire intel. So any prepared backup hideouts are no longer safe. We need to find a temporary place to hide to avoid detection by Big Ivan’s men."

Jethro spread his hands and said somberly, "Finding a place is your job. You pick a spot."

Though the plan hadn’t accounted for this many people, it was essential to have prepared a safe and hidden landing spot in advance and certainly not to let Jethro know. If Jethro was unaware, it was even less likely that Corkdor would know.

Yang Yi said somberly, "No problem, we have a place to hide. Let’s wait to meet up with Francois and then change locations. The place can’t fit too many people, but it’s definitely suitable as a meeting spot."
