Chapter 686 - 692 Tattoo
Chapter 686: Chapter 692 Tattoo
What business could Xiao Ran possibly have here in Odessa? There’s no need for a sniper, yet she still came. What could Yang Yi say?
But Kate was different.
"What does the tattoo on the arm look like?"
"I dunno, the left arm has a string of TQ-font English letters, but Jethro couldn’t see clearly what it said exactly. It extended from the elbow down to the wrist. On the right arm is a large tattoo, Jethro thinks he remembers there being flowers, but he wasn’t too clear on what kind? Uh, maybe roses."
Kate tilted her head and thought for a moment, then asked, "How big are the letters?"
"The thing is, Jethro can’t remember clearly, so he’s also unsure. Jefferson has a tattoo around his neck of a thorny vine, with things like severed limbs hanging from it and blood dripping down; he remembers this one more clearly."
Kate pouted and said, "What kind of aesthetic is that? Anything else?"
"There’s also a tattoo behind the ear, black, but Jethro really can’t recall the shape. Hm, there are tattoos on both calves too, more on the right leg. On the right leg there are letters and images; it seemed like there’s a devil’s head on the outer side of the calf, and a line of ES-font text on the inner side, but the content is unclear. On the left calf, there are two skeleton hands grasping his leg, one above the other. That’s all," Jethro replied.
After Kate had written down everything Yang Yi mentioned, she pouted again and said, "A dark style of tattoos, gothic-like. If you guys are sure the person you want to meet doesn’t know the specifics of the tattoos, then that’s easy. Just follow the normal tattoo patterns."
Yang Yi pointed to his own ears and said, "Two large ear holes, but exactly how large Jethro couldn’t specify well. Judging from the size he gestured, about as big as a 50-penny coin."
Kate exhaled and after pondering for a moment, nodded and said, "Alright, this doesn’t even count as makeup, it’s easy."
After finishing, Kate asked Yang Yi, "Is Jethro willing to let you handle this yourself? He isn’t going to see Chris’s look, is he? If he sees it, then he’ll definitely realize that a mercenary could never have such skills."
Yang Yi spread his hands and said, "No, I told him, for convenience and to finish his task earlier, I’ll use any means I deem appropriate. He shouldn’t worry about the specifics. Jethro has no one else he can count on right now; he has to rely on me."
Kate took out her makeup kit and began to pull out various colored liquids one by one. Yang Yi expressed his surprise, "You have tattoo ink too?"
Kate smiled and said, "Of course, imitating tattoos is very common and important. And these dyes are not ordinary colorants; once applied, they won’t come off for a month."
Chris grimaced and said, "Do I really have to wear these ugly, terrifying, and bizarre tattoos for more than a month? I’ll scare myself looking in the mirror."
Yang Yi waved his hand and said, "Don’t talk, it’s just a fake tattoo. Kate, what have you all been doing these days?"
Kate shrugged and said, "Nothing much, it’s been boring, but I’m used to the boredom. How tall is the target and what’s his build?"
"About the same height as Chris, and the weight should be similar too. Apparently looks quite young and fierce. Why did Xiao Ran come with you? Didn’t you say you were coming alone?"
Kate made a helpless gesture, waving her hand, "She said she had to come if she was needed here, what could I do? I guess she just is..."
Kate suddenly stopped talking, then turned to Chris and barked, "Move closer!"
Chris muttered, "It’s not like I insisted on coming along to be a nuisance... Why are you being so harsh..."
Kate put on a stern face and asked, "What was that?"
Chris immediately raised his hands and said, "I didn’t say anything, I’m neutral. Too bad I was thinking of helping you,"
Kate’s expression immediately softened, and then she said to Chris, "Sit here, don’t move. I need to think about how to work on your face to make a fierce look."
Chris’s face became stern, and he squinted his eyes slightly, casting a sidelong glance at Kate.
"Wow," Kate exclaimed in surprise, "you look pretty fierce. I was wondering how to make your makeup look especially vicious, but it seems there’s no need."
Chris looked at Kate and said coldly, "I need someone to help me? Ha."
Kate immediately nodded and said, "Good, there’s not much to do with the face. Let’s start with the tattoos, and then I’ll handle your earlobes."
Yang Yi smiled and asked, "About how long will it take?"
"Around four hours."
Chris jumped at that and said, "That long? How is it going to take that much time?"
Kate replied with irritation, "You think I like it taking so long? Don’t move, let me check the overall proportions first."
After preparing the pigments, Kate began writing on Chris’s arm. Often, she would have to erase a few words and rewrite them. Only after writing a complete version that satisfied her did she begin applying the permanent ink.
Kate was beautiful when she worked with concentration, something Yang Yi had always believed. After admiring her for a while, he finally tiptoed out of the room because he knew Kate disliked being disturbed while doing someone’s makeup.
Once Yang Yi gently closed the room door, Xiao Ran, who had been lounging on the sofa, lazily asked, "How long will it take?"
"Four hours."
"That long!"
Yang Yi spread his hands helplessly, as he wasn’t the one applying makeup to Chris, so he couldn’t respond to Xiao Ran’s remark.
Just then, Xiao Ran turned to Anton, who sat quietly to the side, and suddenly asked, "I heard you two had a match and you lost?"
Anton furrowed his brows slightly and nodded, "Yes."
Xiao Ran exhaled and then smiled at Anton, "How about we have a match too, what do you say?"
Anton turned his head away and said, "No match."
Xiao Ran had been sitting in the same room with Anton for quite a while. She hadn’t spoken up until Yang Yi had left the room.
Xiao Ran then looked at Yang Yi and suggested, "How about the three of us compete in marksmanship, what do you say?"
Anton replied indifferently, "Not interested."
"You’re scared?"
Looking at the challenging expression on Xiao Ran’s face, Anton fell silent for a moment before finally speaking out firmly, "You want to prove yourself but don’t have the chance, so you’re looking for an opportunity to defeat me to prove yourself. This is meaningless because winning against everyone in the world in a shooting range doesn’t make any sense. Also, don’t try to provoke me; it’s pointless. In summary, I won’t compete with you because it’s not just meaningless... it’s also pointless."
Anton turned his head away and added, "And I won’t compete with a woman."
