Although he had been busy all night, Yang Yi got up early and was approached by Anton while he was having breakfast.

"Anything interesting happen?"

"Are you done with your stuff?"

"Yes, it was simple. I didn’t need three days, one was enough."

Yang Yi instinctively looked around and, noticing that Jethro and Boyata weren’t there, he whispered, "Interesting, very interesting indeed."

Anton smiled and said, "Good, as long as it’s interesting."

Yang Yi continued in a low voice, "It’s good you’re here. Today is probably the day we start making our move in secret, and having you here makes me feel a lot more at ease."

Brian didn’t trust Anton, and Anton knew it, but he didn’t express any dissatisfaction. It wasn’t so much that Anton was magnanimous, he just understood Brian’s concerns.

"I hope it gets busier today."

After muttering softly, Anton started eating his breakfast, and at that moment, Jethro and Boyata arrived in high spirits.

"Morning! Since you’re up so early, let’s get straight to business after breakfast."

Jethro sat opposite Yang Yi, and once Boyata served him breakfast, Jethro said with a smile, "Eat up quickly, we have a lot to do today."

Yang Yi said with a smile, "You seem to be in a good mood."

Jethro sighed and said with a hint of emotion, "Yeah, I am quite happy. Nobody likes to waste time. Now that everything is beginning to fall into place, I have reasons to be cheerful. We’re going to negotiate with two officials today, and I think it should go smoothly, but if it doesn’t, you need to be ready to get tough."

After finishing his statement, Jethro looked Yang Yi in the eyes and said, "I know this isn’t within your scope of responsibility, but I’ll add to your pay, five hundred thousand US dollars for each person, oh, five hundred thousand dollars for killing someone. What do you think?"

Yang Yi thought for a moment and replied, "That works for me, it’s a good price, thank you."

Actually, Yang Yi wasn’t particularly interested in money at that point, not because he didn’t want it, but after giving up a substantial amount of income, he just couldn’t muster much excitement for half a million dollars anymore.

Just the intelligence he had overheard, along with Jethro and Corkdor’s action plans, if sold to Justin to then be resold to Big Ivan, would have netted at least ten million. Usually, this information wouldn’t be worth as much, but during the raging war between Deyo and Big Ivan, such intelligence was worth a mint. War profiteering was always the most lucrative, they say.

But now that he was a direct opponent of Big Ivan, Yang Yi had no choice but to sit on the potentially lucrative information.

After finishing their meal, Jethro whispered to Yang Yi, "When we leave today, don’t dress too conspicuously, and make sure you’re fully equipped. We might encounter some situations."

Last night’s operation was against Big Ivan’s men; there was no need for words, finding them meant action, which is why Yang Yi and his team could wear tactical gear and bulletproof vests.

But today was different. Jethro was going to meet with allies of Big Ivan, not his direct subordinates, and these were high officials in the Ukrainian government. If they couldn’t come to an agreement, they certainly couldn’t just assault and deal with people openly, so certainly a disguise was in order for today.

To put it bluntly, if we were to make a move today, it could only be an assassination.

Yang Yi was already dressed in casual clothes, so there wasn’t any need to change, just to bring the necessary weapons. As for the arrangements for Sergei and the other two, they were to wear casual clothes on the outside, with bulletproof vests underneath, but helmets were out of the question, especially for Roman, who couldn’t appear in a combat vest wrapped with a couple of ammo belts no matter what.

"Roman, you guys wear casuals today, with bulletproof vests underneath. Bring all the equipment and keep it in the car, and try not to get out unless necessary."

After instructing Roman and the others, Yang Yi got his things in order and then waited in the car for Jethro.

Jethro was dressed very formally today, in suit and tie, and he would be riding in a sedan instead of an off-road vehicle, so an additional car was needed for today.

Three cars left the base. After they had been on the road, Jethro said into the walkie-talkie, "Let’s go to the Ministry of Defense first."

Yang Yi was quite puzzled, because no matter who Jethro needed to negotiate with, it wasn’t possible to go to their office during broad daylight for talks, as these matters simply couldn’t withstand the light of day. He didn’t know where Jethro got the confidence to go to the Ministry of Defense for negotiations.

After driving for over half an hour, they arrived near the Ministry of Defense. Once there, Jethro said in a grave voice, "Alright, we’ll wait here."

Yang Yi had nothing to say; if the boss said to wait, then they would wait.

This waiting lasted for two hours, until Jethro said over the walkie-talkie, "Robot, come with me into the café."

Yang Yi and Anton got out of the car, and the two followed Jethro into a café.

While they were waiting in the car—a short distance from this restaurant—Yang Yi finally understood that Jethro probably wanted to meet someone here, and now that person was about to arrive.

Jethro sat at a table by himself, while Yang Yi and Anton sat at another table a little distance away from Jethro. They did not look directly at Jethro, but sat in a position where they could see Jethro with a turn of their heads.

It wasn’t long before a man who looked to be in his thirties entered the café and sat down directly across from Jethro. They began to converse quietly almost immediately.

"Not willing to meet?"

Yang Yi heard Jethro raise his voice and say a phrase, then continue to talk calmly with the newcomer. After about ten minutes, Jethro stood up, shook hands with the man, then said goodbye.

After the visitor had left, Jethro waved Yang Yi over. Once Yang Yi had taken a seat in front of him, Jethro said with a gloomy face, "I arranged to meet someone here, but he wouldn’t come, not even willing to meet. There’s no need to make any further effort to talk."

Yang Yi whispered, "Take him out?"

Jethro nodded and said, "Yes, an official in charge of logistics at the Ministry of Defense. I want him taken care of today. The man is currently in his office. How do you plan to do it?"

Yang Yi spread his hands and said, "I can’t just storm into the Ministry of Defense in Ukraine and take a man out; that’s not possible. But we can deal with him on his way home from work. However, you’ll have to provide me with his information first; at the very least, let me know what he looks like."

After pondering for a moment, Jethro said softly, "I’ll give you his photo. It’s morning now; we’ll go to meet someone else first. When it’s time to get off work, you can take care of this man. That won’t delay us. Is that alright?"

Yang Yi nodded and said, "Just give me the photo, of course it will be alright."
