Chapter 634: Chapter 641 Intercepting the Marriage Proposal

Anton and Hans found Lavoire Restaurant.

Norbert and his girlfriend sat at a table, whispering sweet nothings to each other and occasionally letting out a light laugh.

Anton smiled confidently, then he said to Hans, "Look."

"Look at what?"

"Look at Norbert. He’s still young, but he really isn’t a charming man, so I am very confident that I can win over his girlfriend."

After speaking with full confidence, Anton snapped his fingers to summon the waiter to his table.

Just as Anton was about to order, Hans slightly turned his head. Anton caught a glimpse from the corner of his eye and noticed that Norbert and Heidi were settling the bill.

"Sorry, your style doesn’t really suit my taste."

After casually closing the menu and placing it on the table, Anton got up and walked away with ease.

After they left the restaurant, Hans said in a low voice, "Actually, I’m a bit hungry, and it’s been a long time since I’ve been to this restaurant. It’s a bit of a shame."

Anton ignored Hans. He was still looking through the window at Norbert, and seeing that Norbert and Heidi each put money on the table, he said disdainfully, "Ha-ha, they have been dating for a year and a half, and they still go Dutch when eating. Is this how it goes in the financial world?"

Hans shrugged and said, "What’s wrong with that?"

"Nothing, they are coming out."

Norbert and Heidi walked out side by side. Anton and Hans just stood by and watched, then they saw the two split up in the parking lot, each getting into their own car.

Norbert drove a Mercedes, and Heidi drove a Porsche.

Anton immediately said to Hans urgently, "You follow Norbert, I’ll follow Heidi. Give me your car keys."

"Why should you drive my car?"

"Of course, because your car is better! Come on, I’m just borrowing your car for a bit. Hurry up."

Hans reluctantly took out his car keys. Anton quickly jumped into the car and drove off, following Heidi’s Porsche.

Heidi drove fast, and to keep up with her, Anton also drove fast, thinking about various approaches to getting close to Heidi along the way.

For a moment, Anton thought about tailing Heidi closely, but he quickly abandoned the idea, and eventually followed her home from a near but safe distance.

Heidi lived alone. Her house wasn’t very big but was in a good location. Such a house wouldn’t be too expensive in Frankfurt but also wouldn’t be too cheap—typical middle-class housing.

Seeing the house gave Anton a rough idea of Heidi’s financial situation, especially when he saw that Heidi’s house had a parking spot, but Heidi still parked on the roadside. Anton didn’t get out of the car because he knew Heidi would definitely have to leave again soon.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, Heidi came out, but this time she had changed into sportswear and was carrying a gym bag.

The Porsche started and drove away. Anton started the car and followed after Heidi’s vehicle turned a corner.

Anton was not in a hurry because he knew where Heidi was going.

Heidi arrived at the parking lot of a gym, and just as she parked her car, Anton also parked not far from her.

It’s hard for a woman to maintain her figure.

You could tell from the dishes Heidi ordered at the restaurant that she was a woman who paid great attention to her diet, eating almost no high-calorie foods to maintain her figure.

So, Heidi was bound to spend a while in the gym, Anton didn’t need to rush, he could just wait for Heidi to come out before making his move.

After Heidi took her bag and went to the gym, Anton got out of the car and looked around. Seeing no one, he suddenly bent down and stuffed the two balled-up items of clothing he had been holding into Heidi’s car’s exhaust pipe.

Having finished the preparations, Anton returned to his car, then reclined the seat and took a comfortable nap.

Fifty minutes later, Anton woke up on time, adjusted his seat back into position, tidied up his hair a bit, and straightened his bow tie. He sat upright and waited in his car for Heidi to appear.

Ten minutes later, Heidi came out. She had changed into a different outfit and looked even more charming than when she had gone in.

"Ah, this doesn’t look good..."

Anton muttered to himself quietly, then immediately called Hans.

"How did it go, did you make your move?"

Anton, somewhat helplessly, replied, "I haven’t had the chance to act yet, but the problem is I feel I can no longer make my move because Heidi already has someone she likes."

"She’s cheating?"

"I think so, it’s probably not far off even if she hasn’t yet."

"Confirmed?"

"Not yet. Heidi has just come out of the gym, and there’s a subtle expression of happiness on her face, like she’s just seen her sweetheart. I didn’t see this expression when she left Norbert earlier, so I think there might have been a change."

"Got it, Norbert is already home now. Just let me know if you need any coordination."

Anton hung up the phone and, unable to help himself, stroked his beard, murmuring softly, "She likes pretty boys, no, musclemen? Alright, musclemen it is."

While Anton was talking to himself, Heidi started her car and began to drive forward.

Anton followed in his car but kept a good distance because he knew where Heidi was headed.

As expected, once Anton had driven a little way out of the parking lot, he saw Heidi’s car with its hazard lights on, stopped at the side of the road.

"Ah, this really isn’t good."

Anton sighed and then parked his car in front of Heidi’s.

The car was parked at the side of the road, but Heidi didn’t even get out; nevertheless, Anton still walked over, then stood beside Heidi’s car door and politely said, "Hello, do you need any help?"

Heidi rolled down her window halfway and smiled at Anton, "Thank you, my car suddenly died, but I’ve already called a friend and he’ll be here momentarily."

Anton bowed slightly in a gentlemanly manner and smiled, "That’s good, goodbye then."

Anton returned to his car, tapped on the steering wheel, and only then started his vehicle and continued moving forward.

After turning a corner, Anton parked his car and got out to watch Heidi’s. About ten minutes later, another car stopped next to Heidi’s, but no one got out. Heidi immediately got into that car.

Both cars remained at the side of the road, and after another ten minutes, a tow truck from a clearing company arrived. It wasn’t Heidi, but rather a tall and muscular man who appeared to handle the situation. Before long, Heidi’s car was taken away by the tow truck, and Heidi headed straight home in the car that had come to pick her up.

Anton had the feeling of being outsmarted.

"It really was a muscleman."

After quietly expressing his realization, Anton got back into his car and then called Hans, "You won’t need me to step in personally, but you can still prepare to have Norbert catch them in the act."
