Ferdinand’s men, whose arms had been broken, actually urinated in the bed when they were ordered to leave the villa.

This was a typical case of a toad squatting on one’s foot, not biting, but disgusting nonetheless.

Jethro’s face turned from green to red with embarrassment when Yang Yi discovered what had happened. In the end, though, he helplessly said, "Forget it, it’s not worth going back to Ferdinand over this. We won’t stay in this room, let’s go, leave this place."

Jethro said he was a nice guy, and now his choice seemed somewhat like a nice guy’s, but the problem is, anyone who believes Jethro is a nice guy is a fool.

Yang Yi had known Jethro for quite some time, from being on guard at the initial contact to forming some friendship after getting to know each other well, and up to now, although Yang Yi wouldn’t say he looked down on Jethro, he also didn’t think Jethro had anything impressive to offer.

Now, Yang Yi didn’t exactly fear Jethro, but he certainly couldn’t afford to look at him with the same attitude as before. Although his relationship with Jethro seemed less like that of a superior and a bodyguard and the distance between employer and protector seemed to have narrowed, his wariness towards Jethro had increased in his heart.

Being around Jethro always felt comfortable, which was Jethro’s skill, and he was also very good at winning people’s hearts, which was his tactic.

It turned out that Jethro couldn’t do without them, and since Deyo let Jethro handle the money, that meant Jethro could use Deyo’s money to hire the Trident Mercenary Group. Since it didn’t come out of his own pocket anymore, he didn’t hesitate to raise Trident’s mercenary fees.

It was then that Ferdinand finally came looking for them.

With a few of his men, Ferdinand walked into the villa with a calm expression.

For Ferdinand, losing Tuya Rio to Jethro’s men was a loss of face, but it didn’t affect him otherwise. In fact, it was like taking out the trash for him.

Not only did Zhang Yong think Tuya was useless, so did Ferdinand. The reason Ferdinand kept Tuya around was similar to Jethro’s reasoning: he was good for show, to intimidate others. But having Tuya do anything else was out of the question, so Tuya was like a chicken rib - tasteless to eat but a pity to waste. And now, Tuya was injured, his arms broken, becoming a cripple. Paying for his medical treatment was one thing, but having to support him eating for free was unbearable.

Tuya’s surgery would cost a few thousand dollars, but the subsequent treatment and aftercare would also amount to at least twenty thousand dollars. Not everyone thinks twenty thousand is a small sum, especially when spending it on a cripple, so when Yang Yi and his group took Tuya away, they had essentially solved a problem for Ferdinand.

But Ferdinand had lost face, and so he came.

"I’m here to take my men back."

Ferdinand had brought only a few men with him, so he didn’t come to fight. Jethro, who was discussing the mercenary fee with Yang Yi, put on a smile and said, "There has been some misunderstanding here. I didn’t come to take your men. Some of my people didn’t understand the situation. I have brought them here to apologize to you."

Jethro’s apology seemed sincere, and Ferdinand, who had come for the sake of his reputation, immediately looked much better.

Jethro turned to Yang Yi and said, "That big guy, his arms... they’re pretty much useless now. Let’s hand him over to Mr. Ferdinand to deal with."

Yang Yi made a troubled expression and whispered, "Boss, the thing is, since I said we’d keep him, it wouldn’t be appropriate to drive him away in front of the brothers. How about, I think of a solution?"

Ferdinand didn’t want to take Tuya Rio back with him anyway. He had received the face-saving he desired, and since Jethro had sincerely apologized, he quickly changed his mind.

The issue of Tuya’s belonging passed by that simply, and it wasn’t until Boyata and the others returned with food that Yang Yi realized why Ferdinand didn’t want Tuya.

The Trident had ten people, and with Jethro and Boyata, that made twelve. Boyata had brought back enough food for fifteen people, mainly because anything more would have been inconvenient to carry.

Boyata thought that enough food for three people should surely be enough for Tuya alone, but reality proved that there were many people in the world whose existence was beyond the average person’s comprehension.

Making sandwiches by placing meat slices in bread was what amounted to a simple lunch. Each one of them had a large bread roll, and people like Xiao Ran and Kate would definitely not be able to finish one on their own in a meal.

While Boyata and Zhang Yong were personally preparing lunch, which involved cutting the marinated meat into thin slices and placing them in the bread, Tuya’s eyes grew wide the moment Jethro received the first sandwich with pickles and meat slices from Boyata, and he simply waved his hand towards Tuya, saying, "Give it to him first."

Boyata brought the sandwich over to Tuya, and Rodriguez took it in his hand, saying, "Give it to me, I’ll feed him."

Rodriguez was unexpectedly patient, and Tuya, with a grateful expression, said to Rodriguez, "Thanks, you are a good person."

After finishing his thanks, Tuya bit into the sandwich and in three or four bites, the sandwich was gone by the time Zhang Yong had prepared the second one.

Yang Yi pointed at Tuya and said, "Give it to him, let him eat first."

When Tuya had finished the second sandwich, Boyata and Zhang Yong hadn’t even finished making the third one.

Zhang Yong was a bit surprised, saying, "How can you eat so fast?"

Jethro, quite interested, said, "Let him eat. I want to see just how much he can actually eat."

True to expectations, Tuya didn’t disappoint. When the third sandwich was handed to Rodriguez, Tuya seemed a bit embarrassed and said, "You guys eat first. I’ll wait till you’re done."

Yang Yi shouted, "No need, just eat, dig in, eat as much as you want, however much you can."

Tuya became a bit more embarrassed and said hesitantly, "Is that really okay?"

Yang Yi, losing patience, said, "What, are you afraid of eating me out of house and home, just eat!"
