Chapter 572: Chapter 580: Seeking Benevolence and Gaining It

The young man nodded foolishly.

Yang Yi was satisfied and couldn’t help but smile, saying, "Good. Nothing happened. I didn’t see anything, and besides, we are leaving. Worst of all, I didn’t bring my phone so I can’t call the cops. The rest is up to you."

After finishing his words, Yang Yi waved his hand and said to Kate and Xiao Ran, "Let’s go."

"Stop! You’re not allowed to leave before the police arrive."

The middle-aged woman was still very angry, but Yang Yi lazily said, "You should worry about yourself."

Yang Yi didn’t stop walking, and Xiao Ran, after giving the woman an angry look, snapped, "She infuriates me, totally insane."

Xiao Ran followed, while Kate softly said, "Just letting them go like that..."

Yang Yi responded calmly, "If these bastards knew gratitude, letting them go wouldn’t be an issue. We could consider it thanks for providing us with some entertainment. But if these bastards don’t know gratitude, well..."

Yang Yi turned his head to look back and saw the woman comforting the boy Xiao Ran had taken down with a whip kick and then helping up the young man Kate had thrown forcefully to the ground.

"This woman is sick, got a ’Holy Mother’ complex, and it’s quite serious. She can’t even distinguish the most basic right from wrong, good from evil."

After a sigh, Yang Yi said in a deep voice, "Never get entangled with someone who has a ’Holy Mother’ complex. What’s the point? These people, under the banner of love and peace, think whatever they do is right because they stand on a moral high ground. So, what we should do is pray for her, Amen."

Kate asked curiously, "Pray? Why should we pray for her?"

Yang Yi said seriously, "Because... you see."

Kate didn’t even want to look back; the sight of that woman infuriated her more than those thugs.

But when Kate couldn’t help turning her head back, she saw that the woman was being dragged by the two thugs into a dark alley.

"How could this happen?"

Kate exclaimed in surprise, then shouted, "She just saved those bastards!"

Xiao Ran said with contempt, "Ungrateful bastards meet an idiot brainwashed by political correctness. It’s a match made in heaven, a case of each getting what they asked for."

Kate stopped in her tracks and, extremely annoyed, said, "No! I have to go back and save her!"

Yang Yi grabbed Kate, then exclaimed in astonishment, "Are you mistaken? Have you forgotten what that woman just said?"

Kate was conflicted as she said, "But she is a good person."

"A good person?"

Yang Yi was surprised as he said, "You’re misusing the term ’good person.’ Good people don’t stand on a moral high ground and recklessly condemn justice. Good people also don’t exempt evil because they’re still young. This encourages evil, so she is not a good person, just a patient with a ’Holy Mother’ complex. She got what she wanted, so why stop it?"

After a moment of stunned silence, Kate said, "But... but that’s not right."

As the woman began to scream and cry, Xiao Ran’s satisfaction vanished, and she just said coldly, "You asked for it, you got it."

Kate murmured, "I feel a bit uneasy about this."

Yang Yi said coldly, "Never get close to someone who harms others and then opposes revenge, advocating tolerance. That’s a saying from a Huaxia sage. Don’t even approach them, let alone help them because they deserve it."

Xiao Ran continued coldly, "Her clothes are expensive, the car she drives is nice, and she wears a luxury watch. There are no cameras here, even less in the alley, and even if there were, it wouldn’t matter. So, she’s as good as dead."

Yang Yi laughed, "As good as dead? That seems a bit much."

Xiao Ran said disdainfully, "If it hadn’t been for what happened before, she might have only been raped and then robbed, but those people were repaying kindness with enmity. Since they’ve done that, they usually take things even further."

Yang Yi stopped in his tracks, frowning.

Xiao Ran looked at Yang Yi and asked, "What, can’t bear it?"

Yang Yi shook his head and replied, "Actually, it would be better if there were more people with a merciful heart in this world."

Xiao Ran laughed and said, "Just a moment ago you said these people were abetting crime, and that no matter what they suffered, they didn’t deserve sympathy."

"You’re omitting the last part. Mostly, don’t you find those little punks utterly detestable? If we just walk away like this, wouldn’t you feel disgusted?"

Kate nodded vigorously and said, "Yeah! I don’t care about that woman, but I can’t stand the thought of letting those bastards off the hook just like that."

Xiao Ran hesitated before responding, "That’s true, I’d feel sick just thinking about it later on. And it’ll be harder to find them if we let them go now. But I really, really want that woman to be punished. What should we do?"

Yang Yi checked his watch and suggested, "The thing about ’doing that and then killing’... it’s relatively rare, so let’s wait a bit longer before we go over. It’s better for everyone who deserves punishment to get what they deserve."

Xiao Ran nodded in agreement, "I agree."

Kate murmured, "Isn’t this too... never mind, let’s do it."

With great interest, Xiao Ran asked Yang Yi, "How do you plan to deal with them?"

Making a throat-slitting gesture with his hand, Xiao Ran whispered, "Take them out?"

Yang Yi shook his head and said, "No, don’t kill. Murder isn’t good. It’s really not good to kill people in Germany over something so unrelated. Hmm, I plan to change my usual approach."

Kate asked quietly, "Then what are you going to do?"

After thinking for a while, Yang Yi gave a sinister smile and said, "Five minutes have passed, let’s go. It should be just about time now."

The three of them turned around and started walking towards the alley. Unanimously, all three of them took out a scarf from their pockets and wrapped it around their faces.

"You two came prepared."

"It’s essential when going out."

While engaging in small talk, they quickened their pace. As they entered the alley, they could see, with the help of the light from the punks’ cell phones, a young man just pulling up his pants, while another one was just taking his off.

As for the woman, she lay motionless on the ground.

"Perfect timing, attack!"

Yang Yi and the others quickly closed in. By the time the five punks realized Yang Yi had returned, it was too late, and none of them had the courage to reach for a knife this time; instead, they turned and ran.

The three caught up and, after knocking all five down with punches and kicks, Kate leaned down to check the woman and then announced, "She’s not dead, just passed out."

With a satisfied smile, Xiao Ran said, "You reap what you sow."

Yang Yi took a switchblade from one the punk’s pockets, wrapped the handle in a tissue, and with a smile, said, "You might want to turn your heads. I’m about to perform surgery on them."

Kate asked curiously, "Surgery? What kind of surgery."

After a pause, Yang Yi finally replied, "Castration."

Kate paused for a second, then nodded and said, "I think that’s a good plan. Go ahead and castrate them all!"
