Chapter 556: Chapter 564: Talking About Experience
When the target you’re looking for suddenly appears right before your eyes, it’s just like something falling from the sky.
Of course, the target was still in the car; Chris and Anton had only encountered the target’s vehicle, so it wasn’t quite like a pie falling from the sky, but it was fair to say they had a stroke of good luck.
After passing Bu Cunzai’s car head-on, Chris quickly found a spot to make a U-turn and sped up to follow.
"Don’t follow too closely, just watch where that car goes,"
Anton still had a nonchalant look, as if there was nothing worthy of stress in his eyes.
But Chris was different; although he considered himself to have a strong mentality, his heart was still thumping wildly.
"Is there someone in the car?"
Anton shook his head and said, "Can’t see, but the car is definitely Bu Cunzai’s, and the driver hasn’t changed. The only question is whether Bu Cunzai is in the car, but under the current circumstances, where do you think he would be?"
Chris stepped on the brakes. He was quite far from the target vehicle, so he was worried about losing track of it.
"What’s the current situation? Don’t ask me, I really don’t have time to think about anything else."
Anton remained casual as he answered, "The sinking incident happened a few days ago, and it’s too late to save anyone now. Bu Cunzai and Mei Zheren can relax a little and get ready for what comes next. The men Bu Cunzai sent to kill Park Ji-yi are dead, and it’s obvious they were killed by someone, so, what do you think, how will Bu Cunzai react?"
Used to asking, Anton quickly provided the answer.
"There’s only one possibility, Bu Cunzai must investigate who took out the man he sent. Currently, the biggest suspect is the Anderson Research Association. Bu Cunzai must find an absolutely safe place to arrange everything. And what place is absolutely safe, or at least feels safe? Home, his home."
Chris said urgently, "So, if we follow this car, we can find Bu Cunzai’s home, and we might even find out what he’s planning to do."
Anton smiled, "Of course, Bu Cunzai might just be going home to rest, or he might not even be in the car, but none of that matters anymore. What’s important is that we’ve encountered a good opportunity, possibly the only one. So if this were a battle, it would be the moment of the final fight. No matter what the enemy is planning to do, we must launch the total assault."
After finishing, Anton pulled out his phone and soon said in a grave voice, "We’ve found the target’s trail, come to support us immediately and bring all our eavesdropping and surveillance equipment. Make it quick, it has to be fast!"
Having hung up the phone, Anton said sternly, "At times like these, the target generally gets anxious, and when they’re anxious, they make all kinds of mistakes."
Chris was not a fool; he just couldn’t comprehend where Anton’s immense confidence came from because looking at Anton, it seemed as though Bu Cunzai would definitely do as he predicted.
But Chris had no time to say anything else, he needed to focus all his attention to ensure he did not lose track of the target.
Finally, the target vehicle left the main road and turned onto a side street, flanked by single-family mansions rarely seen in Seoul, leading to a gate; as all these luxury villas were managed by one property company.
Chris said urgently, "Shouldn’t we circle around?"
"No! No! Just drive over there, head towards the main entrance."
Chris hesitated for a moment, but he still drove towards the residential area composed entirely of luxury villas as Anton instructed.
The target car only slowed down a bit but didn’t stop as it went through, and Chris said urgently, "We’ll be stopped."
Anton said with full confidence, "Haven’t you noticed that people here blindly trust white people? Especially Americans; when they see an American, they practically want to call them daddy. Just show them your passport and then you’ll be able to get in."
Chris said anxiously, "What kind of joke is that? What nonsense are you talking about?"
The car Chris was driving was stopped at the gate, and a uniformed security guard came out to speak with them.
Chris’s car wasn’t anything special, and this was an ultra-luxurious community, but the guard was still very polite. He simply asked Chris and the others to either call someone to come get them or to leave. However, as soon as Chris rolled down the window, the guard’s face broke into a smile.
Chris really couldn’t understand what the guard was saying, so he said with an anxious expression, "Friend, friend, I’m here to visit a friend, do you understand?"
"Ok, ok, friend, find friend."
The guard immediately turned around and called out twice. When his superior arrived, the two guards asked loudly by the car window, "Who? Who are you looking for?"
Chris quickly made up a name.
Anton leaned over from the passenger seat and said, "Do you need to make a phone call to have them come down? I can make a call."
Anton appeared very earnest and polite, just barely concealing his impatience. After a brief discussion, the two guards immediately raised the gate.
Chris thanked the two guards and drove through.
Chris whistled and said, "We actually got in."
Anton said indifferently, "Yes, you got in without even showing your passport. If you had shown an American passport, they would have knelt down and called you daddy."
"Hey, don’t exaggerate so much."
"I’m only exaggerating a tiny bit."
Chris then saw the car and whispered, "Look, that car."
"Drive over there, go slow, park here. It doesn’t look like this place is often occupied."
After letting Chris park the car, Anton glanced back and could now confirm which house was Bu Cunzai’s. Although he hadn’t witnessed Bu Cunzai getting out of the car, since the car was parked there, the location must be right.
Anton placed the bug detector at the window, testing each window one by one for any sound transmission. At this moment, Chris whispered, "Should we put a tracker on the car? We brought one with us."
Anton said in a low voice, "No, tracking a vehicle with a GPS tracker is not very meaningful, and it’s very easy for someone to find. Knowing where Bu Cunzai’s home is is enough. Keep watch for anyone coming around."
Chris let out a soft breath, then whispered, "Is this position not good enough?"
Anton nodded and said, "Yes, we can only eavesdrop on a limited number of rooms, but it’s okay, we can move to a better spot later."
Chris hesitated and said, "Could we be discovered? If we get caught, that would be troublesome, buddy."
Anton, with a calm expression, said, "You should be braver, buddy. Think bigger. Not everyone is on guard against spies. For the vast majority of people, the idea that they could be targeted by a spy never even crosses their minds. So even if you’re discovered, they won’t think you’re a spy. That’s a piece of advice from experience."
