Chapter 413: Chapter 401 Descending from the Sky
Why did Pasanin allow the Organization of Water to train at his training ground?
Because Pasanin was truly bored.
These past few days with no other training plans, every day when Yang Yi and his group were shooting, Pasanin would join them at the shooting range and fire alongside them.
Although he wasn’t very talkative, Pasanin really enjoyed training with the Organization of Water.
Yang Yi knew that Pasanin must be an expert, especially in combat on snow. When considering the combined strength of the Organization of Water, they might all be easily overpowered by Pasanin alone, because this was Pasanin’s home turf, where his strength could grow exponentially in the snow.
However, no one knew how strong Pasanin’s combat abilities were in more common environments, but Brian and Zhang Yong would soon be able to assess Pasanin’s fighting capabilities, as the Organization of Water was finally about to begin indoor combat training, in which Pasanin would also participate.
This was the Aurora training ground, and of course, a training ground should look the part. Indeed, the training ground had rooms specially prepared for indoor combat, albeit they were still wooden cabins.
"Live ammunition can be used, but not grenades or flashbangs. The targets have already been set up, and now you may begin your training."
Pasanin, fully armed as well, was excited to engage in live fire exercises with the Organization of Water.
Brian, dressed in a thick cold-weather outfit, struggled to pull his watch from his sleeve, glanced at the time, and then shouted, "You have five minutes to search all the rooms. Remember the key points of the operation..."
Pasanin, cradling his rifle, listened to what Brian was saying, but suddenly reached out to stop Brian, assuming the stance of someone straining to hear, and said, "Quiet, listen!"
Yang Yi was curious, and after Brian stopped speaking, he cocked his head slightly and listened to the sound outside.
"Airplane!"
Paul and Zhang Yong shouted at the same time, and subconsciously raised their rifles.
"A propeller plane."
"Flying really low."
After Zhang Yong spoke, he looked toward Pasanin, who was sporting a look of surprise and said, "Our boss is here!"
Pasanin ran out of the room, and Paul gave a meaningful glance to Brian, and followed with his rifle at the ready.
Brian frowned slightly and said, "Go out and take a look."
Yang Yi stepped out of the wooden cabin, which was ready for an imminent exercise, and looked up at the sky.
The sky was dark, but he could see two regularly flashing lights in the sky.
Pasanin took out a flashlight and started waving it toward the sky.
Yang Yi asked curiously, "What are you doing? Is the airplane going to land? If you are guiding the plane to land, shouldn’t you be at the lake’s surface?"
The frozen lake surface could support the takeoff and landing of small aircraft, but the small lake next to the wooden house was too small, so when Yang Yi’s group had arrived, they had landed on the nearest large lake. But now, Yang Yi was curious about what Pasanin was signaling with the flashlight to the sky.
"No, no need to land,"
After saying that, Pasanin pointed his finger at the sky, laughing, "Look, our boss is coming down."
Yang Yi saw a light descending rapidly from the sky.
As the bright spot got closer, its speed suddenly slowed down.
Zhang Yong whistled and said, "High-altitude low-opening in this kind of environment, hehe, not bad."
The light point slowed down its descent when it was very close to the ground, and then it gradually landed, finally allowing Yang Yi to see a white parachute.
The parachute moved slowly, flying towards the spot where Yang Yi and the others were.
The parachutist’s feet touched the ground, then he quickly ran towards Pasanin, and by the time the parachute had settled on the ground, the man was standing next to Pasanin.
Upon securing his footing, the man who jumped handed a large bag that had been hanging on his chest to Pasanin, then he grabbed the parachute’s shroud lines, and while quickly reeling in the parachute, he loudly said, "Hello, I’m Alexander, pleased that you could visit us here, please wait a moment, I’ll be right with you."
This man’s way of making an entrance left Yang Yi feeling dazzled, then he watched as Alexander roughly bundled up the parachute and took off the parachute backpack, unsure of what to say.
Pasanin waved his flashlight back and forth in the sky, then put it away and asked, "Boss, why did you come by parachute?"
"Oh, I was pressed for time and didn’t want to waste it on the road."
After the back and forth with Pasanin, Alexander extended his hand and said, "Let’s go inside to talk, it’s too cold out here."
Their training was interrupted, and Yang Yi and the others followed Alexander into the large dining hall they used for receiving guests.
Alexander, wearing a coat, entered the dining hall and took it off, hanging it on the wall almost without looking, showing his familiarity with the place.
After removing his gloves, Alexander vigorously rubbed his hands and then, smiling, said, "Hello everyone, it looks like you were about to start training? I’m sorry for the interruption."
Yang Yi hurriedly replied, "It’s okay, our training is not urgent."
Alexander appeared to be in his forties. He scrutinized the group, then reached out to Yang Yi with a smile, "So you must be Robot?"
"Yes, that’s me."
Yang Yi quickly took off his gloves and shook hands with Alexander.
Alexander seemed quite amiable, not at all like the legendary leader of a mercenary group, and even less like the formidable figure Zhang Yong had described.
Alexander turned to Zhang Yong with a smile and said, "So you must be from Angel, nice to meet you, how is Nate doing these days?"
Zhang Yong shrugged, "Don’t know, I left Angel quite some time ago."
Alexander laughed heartily and, after greeting Brian and the others with a handshake, said enthusiastically, "I’ve heard that some experts have arrived here, including a robot shooter, so I just couldn’t wait to come."
With the introductions out of the way, Alexander took the large bag from the dining table, unzipped it, and pulled out a rifle.
He lifted the rifle and, taking a deep breath with a smile, said, "This is the new generation experimental rifle I’ve just finished optimizing. The accuracy has finally improved significantly. Pasanin said we have some experts here, so I rushed over. Gentlemen, please take a look."
The expert Pasanin referred to was definitely not Yang Yi but Paul, and then Xiao Ran.
Yang Yi had potential to be sure, but to become an expert would take some more time, whereas Paul was not only an excellent shooter but also a formidable weapons expert.
Paul took the rifle from Alexander’s hand with a serious expression. He just held it for a moment and immediately said, "It’s lighter, the weight is quite good."
